The food here is amazing. They have a English menu if you do not fully know Spanish yet. The prices are not bad if you are sharing the food. The drinks are to die for and the service here is very welcoming. They sell food, but they also sell products for your health. *Organic cleaning supplies *Organic Herbs *Organic coffee/tea *Organic protein *ETC. Misael y Luis Blun are the best. You guys must ask for them. They make the experience even better. I never miss this place when I'm in Playa Del Carmen, you shouldn't either.

    Quinoa bowl with poached egg

If you spend enough time down here as a tourist, you may well overindulge a night and feel a bit off the next morning. Or you may get tired of food options, which are often huge and opulent or cheap and quick, but in either event, not the healthiest of options. Or, like me, you may experience both. Well, if you do, keep this figuratively live-saving oasis in mind. Popped in here, shall we say, feeling a bit sluggish before a planned late afternoon snorkeling trip. One freshly made juice (carrot, apple, celery and ginger) and one incredibly tasty quinoa bowl (topped with a perfectly cooked poached egg) later, I felt completely invigorated and ready for action. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and the poached egg running over the quinoa and vegetables was just a perfect mélange of flavors. My dish also came with a very tasty beet dip with carrot/celery sticks... a perfect little starter that tasted all the better for being free. In addition to basic indoor/outdoor seating for eating in, Bio-Natural features a full market area, so if you live here or are staying long-term and are enterprising enough to cook/prepare some dishes home, it is an excellent and--based on my experience--completely unique and indispensable place in this general area for healthy, vegetarian-based food options.

    Fitness breakfast and Caribbean bowl

Perfect place for a post-workout meal and great if you're hungover after a night on 5th. Had the fitness breakfast - came with a 4 egg white scramble with vegetables and a salad. The dressing on the salad was so good, I asked the chef to buy some. Girlfriend had the Caribbean bowl and liked the açai and fruit mix in it. She tried a kombucha from the store inside and really enjoyed it. The market is a nice touch and has some great healthy ingredients to cook some meals when you're tired of going out for food.

This place is a favorite of mine and now my husband is obsessed! The seating is mostly outside in the shade as well and it's so cute! I'm only taking away one star because I think some of the flavors are off or need to be amped up a bit but overall great place for vegans and non vegans! It's also cheap!

I was staying two blocks away from this lovely place, every time I went in especially towards the end of my trip I was recognized by name and had great conversations with the staff. There are two locations, and both have a great organic market with supplements, beauty products, water, kombucha and food/snacks. A lot of local products. That is what I look for when I'm traveling, that familiar friendly experience because solo travelling can be lonely at times. Let's talk about the food! If you like spicy ask for spicy if you don't it will be quite neutral. The vegan and gluten-free options are incredible, the fresh pressed juices are my favourite and it's really nice to grab a smoothie and go meditate on the beach (which is 2 minutes walk) in the morning. I love this place and I can't wait to go back to Playa, and hopefully some of the friends I've made are still working there!

I had the taco bowl. It was really good. Service was good. My bowl was delicious. I'd come again

Definitely come here! Locals and tourists alike visit this place to get away from all of the meat and fried food and recharge with loads of fruits and veggies. BIO-Natural carefully prepares each dish ensuring that it will be yummy! The juices are great (as are the smoothies); I highly recommend. My wife and I loved our omelettes. As good as my Pepper Omelette was, nothing can beat the incredible flavor of grilled corn and poblanos in her "omelette de rajas y elote." Great with bread or tortillas. The accompanying salads are lightly dressed and a refreshing accompaniment. A small plate of mixed fruit makes for a great appetizer or dessert! (by the way, this was our first full day in PDC, and we were worried about the ramifications of eating raw produce in Mexico, if you catch my drift... happy to report, no problems!) It's great to browse the organic fare in the store after your meal. They have every kind of seed and grain as well as teas and tonics. I can't recommend this place enough!

I had the surf and turf appetizer that was served inside a soft wonton shell. I also had lobster bisque. I've definitely had better but the base of it was unique and not as creamy as I am used to experiencing. The salmon dinner was good, but the shrimp main course was devoid of seasoning - making it less than ideal. I appreciated the sorbet that was offered to cleanse the palate between meals. Lastly, the key lime pie was pretty good but heavy on the marshmallow and light on the lime flavor. Great atmosphere but I certainly enjoyed other restaurants a bit more at the Hilton.

I think it's safe to say that we saved the best for last! My one complaint is regarding the availability of reservations. We went to the concierge desk to make a reservation for a Sunday on a Friday morning, and they only had a 9pm reservation left. That's a bit late for us old heads, so we instead opted for a Monday night at 6pm reservation. Thankfully we were staying through Monday night - I would have been very sad if we weren't able to check this place out. Though the hotel says you need to make reservations before 2pm on the same day, I would suggest securing your reservation as early as possible. The service here was absolutely impeccable. Our wine and water was always filled and the courses came out in a perfect time-frame. Our waiter was super nice and attentive, and they were very accommodating to my husband who is allergic to penicillin/mold/BLUE CHEESE! Clearly he could not eat the Gorgonzola soup, so they substituted a delicious vegetable soup for him. From start to finish, I enjoyed every single bite. There was not one thing that I ate and reacted to with a "meh." You can check out the photos to see everything I consumed, but I could rave about each dish (especially the whiskey truffles). I left feeling full and treated like a superstar. The violinist was also a great touch!

He delivered solid service, 5-Star. It rained during our meal so that did have an impact. As for the meal...it was a 3-Star at best. My appie was Bruschetta Pastorall ($147P). It was hot in flavour & decent tasting as well. My main was Chicken Parmesan with a creamy spaghetti ($379p + $75p for the spaghetti). They were good but not great. They SHOULD have been great for a $31.50 Cdn entree. And even though I asked in writing to have the meal extra hot...it was barely warm enough to NOT send back to the kitchen. This seems to be where most restaurants in the area drop the ball...taste & food temperature. Even though I ranked this a 4-star it's not really one...it's more like a 3.5. I doubt I'd come back here.

I think my Mailina could have been in the oven a bit longer to brown more. I did not detect any sausage although the description said there should be. The wife got the Napoli and liked it. We started with Caprese salad. It was excellent. Best (most fresh tasting) I ever had. Service was inattentive. There was one guy who was waiter and street recruiter. It was too much for one person.

It helped that it was pouring rain and most of the restaurant was under cover, unlike a lot of spots, so it was perfect. We were seated quickly and helped shortly after. Service was...interesting. Felt like we had the hardest experience with communication here, which is fine, as Americans that is our fault. Things like they have a porn star martini ( my fav) as a mocktail so I asked if it was possible to add a shot of vodka. They initially recommended the espresso martini which I did not want so I was just opting for water and he pushed the original option on me then charged be $20 for it, which was insane. They also pushed sales hard here, it felt a little off...like we just wanted to enjoy a meal and at the end we're hounded to try their mezcals. BUT food came quick and effeciently so no major complaints there, just be aware. As for the food, it was incredible. Again with the communication, we pointed and asked for the beet carpaccio....they brought out beef carpaccio WHICH thankfully we both eat meat because honestly, it was freaking incredible. We didn't even say anything about the mix up because it was a highlight. They brought it out under a glass smoker, it had a cream sauce, and rosemary, lime, cheese, it was just perfect. We also had the corn which was super unique, the tuna appetizer which had SO MUCH FLAVOR, and the fundito which was on par with everywhere else in the area. It ended up being more food than we planned but it was incredible in flavor, whoever the cook is does a great job of marrying flavors because it was an incredible meal. Be ready for the communication gap, but know you won't eat anything bad here.
