I have been going to this dentist for 15 years. I cannot believe the bad reviews. Totally crazy! I started going here because I use to be on Medicaid and nobody in Grand County would take it. Even after going on regular insurance, I decided to keep coming to Comfort Dental Silverthorne because I have always had a good experiences and care. It sounds like a lot of the bad reviews were also from a Dr. I had never seen there before and he's gone now. If you are reading bad reviews from before 2024 you should disregard them. Worst medical office I've ever been to!! Even though I had an appointment, took 1 1/2 hours to see the dentist. Then I only got a 5 minute exam & a referral to another dentist. Worse experience I have ever had. Went in for tooth pain in my jaw. Ended up telling me I had 9 cavities that they would not show me on my X-ray. None of the teeth except for two had I ever had issues with. Told them to fill the bad one that was bothering me as well as 4 supposed others. Half way through Dr Katrina Rojohn says "oh no" and tells me I need a root canal. I asked how much and she gave me a ridiculous total of 1700 with insurance! I told her I wanted to think about what to do and she told me she already exposed the nerve on the tooth and can't leave it in my mouth that way. I was forced to pull my tooth due to her misdiagnosis and extreme prices. To top it off, I'm on day three of no feeling in the right side of my tongue. Went back in the next day and was told I need steroids that I had a reaction to too much Novocain. Still waiting to see if there's permanent damage to my nerve in my tongue. Also, Dr Rojohn had her technician doing all my fillings. He took several hours to do 4 fillings and could not figure the X-ray machine out. He also gave me no safety glasses and I even made a comment that I have stuff flying up in my eyes. When he was doing my one filling and was done I could not chew or close my mouth properly due to the horrible job he did, I also pointed a bunch of dried blood out on the handle of the light before they even touched my mouth. Very dirty! Very unprofessional and appears to be a scam. I am very upset about having to pull my tooth and now possible nerve loss in my tongue. My family has gone here for a decade and this is the worst ever appointment. Please do not use this place or this doctor specifically. read more

TRUST THE REVIEWS Ive been here so long and its been so bad that now i have dentures but even they suck. They came w a crack in them and quickly broke. Its been two plus years and i tried to get new ones but they did an impression w WAY too much of the stuff they do it with. It was runninh down my throat and i was gagging. Dr Rollow got PISSED and yanked it out of my mouth...THEN HE SENT THE DISFORMED DENTURE IN!!! It came back completely crooked. I went back to get another impression and they took the broken denture as a cast... then they failed to EVER call me again. Finally i called them. They say its my fault. So here I am two plus years in with a broken denture for two years and Im not going back and im tryimg to find another dr but its hard because i dont have good insurance- the reason i stayed w them from a full set of nice teeth 12 years ago to having only four front bottoms left. They broke teeth extracting bad ones...etc etc etc. Dr Rollow...youre a nice guy but bro your older than dirt and you cant see straight and you have definitely not serviced the issues w my dentures since the very beginning. Also your staff mever answers the phone, never calls back on messages left. Never calls re appts made etc etc etc.. This office staff was so helpful to family. We are in town on vacation and my daughter had an issue with her expander, from our hometown orthodontist. They were not only able to help out my daughter, who is not a current patient, but also squeezed us in last minute before they closed. There is certain staff who looks like they like their job and and you can notice it, I got in same day and everything seemed like a normal dental office. Got a cleaning and the doctor was nice and respectful, the dental assistant was the best and treated me nice overall I made another appointment and will be back!! read more

I have had some recent work done here. While the dentists I had were friendly, they delegate most work to their dental technicians that have no outside training. They do not even have a dental hygienist on staff which seems very odd. I'd rather have someone that is formally trained doing dental hygiene work on me. They have their receptionist do work on patients when they are short staffed. Yikes! So, I had two crowns ordered recently. The temporary crowns were fitted and installed as I was told I had to wait weeks for the permanent crowns to be ordered. So, BOTH temporary crowns came off within a few days of being put on. I had to make additional appointments to come back for temporary crown reinstallation, TWICE. I was not chewing gum or eating sticky food. The dentist didn't even put the crowns on, they had the technicians do it. They don't seem very professional here. To top it off, the dark-haired lady at the front desk with the southern accent flat out lied to me about dentist availability saying one would be out of town for a month. I later found out that was not even true. I feel like the staff here cannot be trusted. Run away. read more

Filled 7 fake cavities, that I supposedly had. He said I had 12 and he filled seven of them for me and asked me to come back at a later date for the others. I decided to get a second opinion because I've never had a cavity before. Yes I know, I was gullible but I also use to trust doctors wholeheartedly. When I called him and confronted him on the phone he said that he just wanted to make sure they weren't cavities so he filled them anyway as a precaution. They told me I needed a crown and started the work on it even though I had no pain. I was shot up excessively with novacaine and my tongue was accidently injected twice. Two hours later, I finally left with a temporary crown. My gums and the tooth were in lots of pain for more than 2 weeks when I went to see an endodontist who informed me I now need a root canal. My insurer declined to pay for the crown because the x-rays did not reveal the need for one and that the tooth only required a filling repair. Now I must find a new dentist to complete the crown once the root canal is done. Do not trust these people to do any work on you. I believe Dr. Rollow needs to retire. This is all a first for me as I have never had any extensive dental work in my 69 years. If I could rate with negative stars, I would. read more

WARNING!!!!! I'd give them 0 if I could. This dentist office is running a scam!!! Dr. Rollow said I had 9 cavities and then wanted to immediately schedule me for fillings the next day. RED FLAG! I scheduled an appointment with another clinic and turns out I only have 2! They didn't even clean my teeth well. They didn't scrape for tarter, just polished. No flossing either! Honestly, this business doesn't need a review. It's exceptional service, amazing and friendly staff, clean facility and experienced doctor with incredibly thoughtful bedside manner says it all. I came to visit keystone from Miami Florida for ten days. The first few days were great but eventually my entire right side of my face was in excruciating pain. I didn't know what to do. I went online and found that Dr. Rollow had over 30 years experience. I knew the tooth in question had a prior root canal and it wouldn't be something simple. I called and set up an appointment.I instantly felt calmer since their receptionist was so helpful. He took me in the next day and solved my problem. It was pain free. I'm eternally grateful to the doctor for fitting me in and keeping me from having a dreadful trip back to Miami. Thank you so much!!!! read more

I don't normally do reviews, but I feel obligated to protect other people from this place. I should have read reviews first and I should have seen the red flags the first day. I had an appointment one day for a routine cleaning. They took my x-rays, left me sitting there for two hours, then said the Dr. was not coming back and that I'd have to reschedule. I should have known then that this place was not professional. Foolishly, I rescheduled for the next day. I was there from 3 pm to 7 pm. That's not an exaggeration. I would have left, but for a long period of time, I had holes in my teeth. Dr. Bonifacio Guillena told me that all of my fillings needed to be replaced and persuaded me to do it the same day. I should have gotten a second opinion, but I believed him because he's a dentist. HUGE MISTAKE. He gossiped about his sex life with his assistant while he drilled into my teeth, not even paying attention. They then left me with my teeth hollow for two hours. When his assistants finally completed the procedure, they messed up multiple times. My lower molar has been in great pain since. It has throbbed every single day and I sometimes can't even concentrate. I saw another dentist about it and it turns out there is a massive infection. I have no doubt it is because of the substandard treatment I received from this office. I am on antibiotics to keep from loosing my tooth or dying. Now I need to get a treatment that will cost upward of $1000. My insurance won't pay for it because all of my benefits went toward replacing all of those fillings. Same experience another had here. 1. Dr. Bonifacio Guillena comes 2 hours late. Ok, stuff happens. But don't make me sit in the chair without telling me. 2. Told me I had 8 cavities. I was shocked. I've never had that many, ever. But he's got the diploma and white coat, so I believed him. Had a couple filled and waited to get the rest filled at home with my regular dentist. 3. The ones I had filled still don't feel right and hurt. 4. Get to my real dentist, they took more xrays and couldn't find any cavities. Not one. Stay far, far away from this incompetent hack. Beware. I was told I had eight cavities by Comfort Dental. They filled four, and because my dental insurance was maxxed out after one filling, I had a hefty bill. I decided to go to my family dentist for the other four fillings. He looked at the x-rays and examined my teeth. Then he did another set of x-ray films just to be sure... those teeth have no cavities. Now I wonder if the initial four I had filled had cavities. Lesson learned. Worst dental office in the county. My visit was terrifying and had left me scared to even go to the dentist again. I went in for tooth ache. Dr. Bonaficio was the dentist I was scheduled with. He decided my tooth needed pulled. After waiting for about an hour after my novocaine shots he c Sat down on my to be more interested in chit chat with the dental hygienist about females and dating. He was pulling and pushing so hard and with his attention taken up with gossip suddenly the tool slipped and stabbed me deep down into my throat and caused me to burst into tears and was told I'd be fine. Finally the tooth was extracted but the healing process took weeks longer than normal. I had 3 return visits to comfort to be told I had dry socket with 2 weeks of pain in my mouth as well as my throat with no treatment except having it packed with medication. i am a nervous person by nature. the staff and dr. light were so kind, compassionate and gentle. i am so thankful!!!!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Partly my fault since I didn't check reviews. Made an appointment for exam & cleaning. But for the better part of 2 hours, I just sat there in 2 separate rooms where I had no idea what was going on, and had to ask when I was going to be seen & remind the hygienist that I needed xrays...as other people came and went. Finally, Dr Bonifacio comes in, looks at my teeth & pokes them with a stick...nothing wrong with them, wants to know if I want a cleaning that day. UHHHH yeah that's why I'm here?! THREE hours total, and I left with just some poking around and a polish. They didn't even floss my teeth, which is kind of one of the basics of tooth hygiene. Seriously, worst service and least comfortable cleaning I've ever had. All the thumbs down.
