Mike and Tarion were professional as they diagnosed the issue. Mike did a great job explaining to me what the problem was and confirmed my warranty information. He also took pictures from the attic to show me what was going on with the coil. I was given a quote for the work. This is where I didn't quite understand why it was so pricey given Chat GPT was providing the average cost much less. I spoke with Tony, and he provided the breakdown for the estimate for the labor cost. The two men were good and I appreciate Drew and Sam for their hard work and willingness to make sure all my questions were answered. They were professional and friendly and very nice guys. They were quick because it took 2.5 hours to complete the job. Because of that, I overlooked the very expensive labor fee. :-) I would give the company a five star if I felt they showed complete transparency with their labor fees per hour. I know most companies do not want to disclose that information, but this provides the consumer with a sense of respect and not being taken advantage of the situation. I feel this would be a fair. I originally was looking for someone to clean our very dirty ducts. In the process of that inspection I discovered several serious problems with my HVAC system. it was working, but not very well. I had several major leaks and a bad evaporator that they no longer make and several other serious issues, so I needed to replace the entire 25+ year old leaking system. I got several estimates that nearly knocked me unconscious. I got Carlos's number from a relative who used him on one of their houses. He came out the next day, did a thorough inspection and gave me a price that seemed too good to be true. The brand new, brand name equipment was comparable to that in my other bids but the cost for materials and installation was SIGNIFICANTLY less. Carlos also charged 75% less than the closest bid to replace all the ducts as well, so I had him do that. I saw all the new equipment, it was exactly what I was expecting. He had a big enough crew that they spent one day tearing out the old system and one long day installing the new one, including all the new insulated, well-rated ducts. He and his crew were professional, careful, and conscientious every step of the way. He came back to check on everything and make sure I knew how to operate the new thermostat and complete the ten year warranty registrations. I just can't say enough about Boricua AC.
