We have stayed here several times over the last 15 years and the inn is a real gem. We always enjoy the beautiful rooms (we prefer to stay in the house versus the annex) with comfy beds and quality linens. This is like no other experience we've had elsewhere as the home is so welcoming and the inn keepers Howard and Fay have anticipated your every need. Upon arrival you will not need your car again as you are walking distance to everything in town. There are several good restaurants and we always finish the evening with a drink on the veranda or out on the front porch. Breakfast is served from nine to ten and has always been delicious and elegantly presented. It's all about the experience here. These rooms are designed to make you feel like a guest in a historic Southern mansion and they have nailed it with this one.

They have two flavors of waffle batter if you want to cook up your own waffle in the morning. That was pretty nice. It's solid place to stay if you need to be in Brevard. We got the last king bedroom on the first floor. It was modern looking, clean, and spacious. We liked the closet against the back wall, with a curtain to hide it. We had lots of lights: desk lamp at desk area, free standing light behind the easy chair/table, bedside lamps on either side of the bed, and a hall light. The bathroom had good lighting, and a night light. We liked the amenities in the bathroom: lotion, make up remover packets, shampoo, conditioner, bath oil and soap. The bed was super comfy, with soft sheets and comforter. We had 4 huge pillows. The TV was good - no problems with using it, and enough channels to watch at night and in the morning. I liked the jacket/pants hanger by the front door. Breakfast was delicious! On 1/22/23, Paula was in breakfast area, cleaning and helping patrons. She filled up the orange juice when Husband discovered it was empty. He had the sausage biscuit, biscuits and gravy ("Don't know what's in the gravy, but it's good!"), and 2 waffles. He enjoyed it all. I had the cranberry juice cocktail with 2 Raisin Bran cereals with nonfat milk & banana and an English muffin with sugar free strawberry jam. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast, too. The selections for food and drink were plentiful. This breakfast had plentiful and varied offerings from 6:30 to 9:30AM, and the front desk had breakfast take out bags, too! Check in and check out was easy. I could have done both on my smart phone, but I like the human interaction. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient.

The accommodations were great. The vibe was retro and family-oriented. Great place to hang your hat and come back to after a day of hiking and sight-seeing. The staff were personable, fun, and extremely helpful with input on what local sights and activities there were nearby. I ended up having a far better time than I would've had camping! Staff is observing COVID precautions while still maintaining a great posture with customers. 10/10 recommend this motel and all the area has to offer, COVID or no COVID.

Breakfast consisted of three courses and they were able to accommodate my friend who joined me with his many food allergies with the 1st and 2nd courses. We were put on the second floor, adequate for sleeping but definitely not favorable for a person that needed amenities for a handicapped person, The bathroom was the worst part, there are no safety bars in the bath, no walk in shower, and the bathtub itself had no non-slip protection in it. I had to help my sister get into the tub to shower and stand there to make sure she did not fall or slip due to the bathtub being so slippery. This was embarrassing for her as well as me. We had a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed with firm & soft pillows. The breakfast was very good both mornings. Wednesday was scrambled eggs and Thursday was cheese omelets. The usual cereals, muffins, breads, make your own pancakes, fruit and yogurts were available both days. I was thrilled with cranberry juice & Husband loved his full flavored orange juice. Check in and check out staff were friendly and helpful. Business center and fitness center were functional and appreciated. The outside pool was covered for the season.
