I booked on Expedia bc my ac was out at my house in the same town and my landlord said to get a hotel for the night and she'd reimburse me. upon arrival I was told by Ben that a credit card was needed on file for incidentals. when I gave him my credit card and upon seeing my license I was told that since I was a resident of the county I would need to put up a $300 CASH deposit. I refused and he contacted his manager who said that she would drop it to $150 cash deposit or I could cancel. EVEN THOUGH MY REASON FOR STAYING THERE WAS THAT MY AC WAS NOT WORKING. I tried to talk to you then my landlord tried to talk to them and they would not budge off of this cash deposit thing. This is how we treat residence same town? I was not apologized to and the manager REFUSED to get on the phone with me and refused to listen to my plea to stay there and reason as to why. disgusting and I don't know why people are in my hometown doing business like this read more

Just stayed here for work for half a week. Ben was the best! He went above and beyond to make our stay as easy as possible. He was courteous, extremely helpful and always in a great mood! I have traveled a lot for work and I've never felt so at home in any hotel as I did at the Burnet Comfort Inn. I wish I could give a better rating because the staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable and WiFi was great, as was the cable. However the floors were so dirty. Footprints and grime were visible everywhere. The shower had more hair in it than any I've ever seen before. They didn't have shampoo at all. Maybe the shows wasn't even cleaned? At least the beds and linens were clean and staff were kind. I'd they'd clean up a bit it'd be a fantastic experience. read more

We have stayed in hotels under renovation before, but this was the worst. All hallways were filthy. The room was not clean. The front desk gave us a 'take it leave it' attitude. Very unprofessional. This is the kind of hotel ownership that gives a minimum of amenities to call itself a hotel. We spent $226 for an armpit of a hotel. Our friend stayed at the Best Western in town and was much much better. We will never stay there again in Burnet as it is not up to their standards of their other hotels. read more

We reserved a "Handicap Accessible" room for 2 nights with a roll-in shower. First, there were no grab bars at all in the bathroom. The "roll-in" shower has a 3 inch lip on it, no grab bars, the shower head is not portable, no place to put shampoo, etc in the shower. We had a chair for the shower, but because there was a sliding glass door, it was difficult to get the chair in there because only one side slid open. Plus, it's on the 3rd floor. So, if there was a fire or evacuation, how is my husband supposed to get out because the elevator would, of course, be out of order. My husband is not a small man and he has balance problems among other things. It's difficult enough when there are grab bars, but this is ridiculous. We won't stay at this hotel again. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the lady at the front desk when we checked in was really nice and the breakfast was decent. Update: My husband fell in the shower and busted up his elbow. Additionally, I had asked that the room be cleaned. I watched the lady at the front desk type in the request when we checked in on Friday. When we returned from our outing today (Saturday) the room had not been touched. I had to go downstairs and get some trash bags and towels. Thankfully, we leave tomorrow. read more

Very lovely hotel. We have a king suite and it's spacious, clean, and the sheets are soft and comfortable. I would have given 5 stars, but the mattress was too firm for me. It has a mattress pad cover and when you get in the bed it seems softer than it is. Some people like firm mattresses and if you do this will be great for you. For the price, I expect at least working air conditioning and doors. We had 2 rooms, beds were comfortable and bathroom was acceptable, but when it's 90+ degrees outside, 90+ degrees inside is NOT OKAY! We notified the front desk, repeatedly, but we're told we could not change rooms as none were available, and they did not have a mechanical engineer available. The desk gave us a small fan.....personnel were nice, but hot is hot! And the main door to one of the rooms would only stay closed if you turn the deadbolt. read more

Nice and comfy small town hotel. These good folks host our big Conference every year and they provide us with great rates, complimentary breakfast and good service all the way around. Only con would be that this is an older hotel and the walls are extremely thin. You can hear your neighbor and their doings very well. So if you're light sleeper like me, bring some ear plugs. read more

Never got housekeeping even though I requested it every night we were there. We were there for 5 nights. Always had to call down to the front desk to have them bring fresh towels and take the trash and dirty towels out. Very frustrating. Wouldn't recommend this hotel. I'll never go back. read more

So I've returned and my review is updated. My previous visit was great, but the wireless had issues. I notified management, and they fixed it. Here are the stats. Room - Super Clean Beds - All Good Water Pressure and Hot Water - Good Pressure/Didn't run out of hot water A/C - Freezing without the yuk condensation. I have to have it cold to sleep, but you can always tell when there's condensation. Not so, and there were no smells. So I'm all good... I give this a solid. Front Desk - Cool... even ordered them some Pizza. Ok, so now that we have that out of the way. Here are the bonuses. *Breakfast - Picante Sauce to go with my eggs is a plus. Eggs and Meat... pretty much all you want when you are working. *Management and Staff - If you take a moment to connect, you'll have a warmer stay (by that I mean it's nice to actually recognize the people that are taking care of you). Very nice people who go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as it can be while you are away from home. *Fast WIFI - I obviously have to mention this since it was fixed and more than enough to do my remote work. No dead spots, and I didn't have any hiccups during high traffic Update: Internet is now 200/200 Fiber uncapped making it faster than any place in the area. Absolutely zero issues with my VPN and remote work. How do I know it's the fastest? Because I called and went to every hotel, and I stayed at the La Quinta Resort in Marble Falls for awhile. The internet is good there (70-90mb/s - no slouch), but it's nothing compared to hitting 200mb/s up and down. Glad I stuck around... definitely worth it. read more

Seeing the single one star review of this facility, I checked other sites and saw it was fairly highly rated, so I decided to take a chance. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and check-in was a breeze. The lobby, while small, was nicely appointed and comfortable and there were a number of baggage carts available. I can't count the number of times I had to wait to bring up my luggage for lack of a cart. I stayed on the second floor. The hallway was a bit dim, but not so much as to be an inconvenience. There was a large floral display at the hallway entrance, making it more inviting. So far, so good. But when I came to my room, the distinct aroma of cigarette smoke hung in the air--and this is supposedly a non-smoking facility. I hoped it was not coming from my room and thankfully, it wasn't. Entering the room, there was a slight chemical smell, I'm sure from the cleaning supplies. The room was bright, I found no scuff marks on the walls, nothing was chipped or peeling. The bed linens were clean with no spots; same with the mattress. Yes, I look at the mattress as even the best hotels can harbor bedbugs. As noted in the other review of this property, the bed was fairly high off the ground. Long-legged thing that I am, it wasn't a problem but shorter folk should take this into consideration. But the glaring deficiency in the room was one of the sheer curtains on the window. It appeared to have been mauled by a cat with long tears and shreds that were obviously noticeable. Why it hadn't been replaced is anyone's guess. The shower worked well with plenty of hot water, there were sufficient towels and toiletries and the bathroom was clean. While the bed appeared comfortable, with the morning came a different story--my back was a wreck. The mattress was fairly hard and had little flexibility. I fully realize that my comments are totally subjective and that to another guest, the mattress would be fine. During the night, the room was quiet and the air conditioning unit kept it at the right temperature. For those of you who like to crank the temperature down while you sleep, you'll find that the blankets supply sufficient warmth. Breakfast was a disappointment. Although the area was bright, the buffet area extremely clean and the attendant very cordial, the food left much to be desired. The hot offerings were scrambled eggs and sausage links. My problem was not with the food itself but with the temperature. Almost standard across the industry, the recommended temperature for hot foods is 140F; I found the temp to be 108F (yes, I carry an infrared thermometer as a matter of course; and yes, I know--I'm strange). So although I can't award five stars, I believe this property is a decent 3.75 stars overall. read more

Stayed here for one night. Check in was very quick and the clerk was very polite. Plenty of parking out front. Parking lot could be a little bit better lit. The entry to the hotel could also be better lit. The map showed the entrance being further down than were that was. There is also a speed bump at the top of the hill for no reason. Not well marked. But those are little picky things. Got a second floor room out of 3 floors. The hotel was built properly and I say that because you could not here the people above the room. Spacious room. Very clean. Had a light in the ceiling. You don't see that in too many hotels these days. Most only use lamps, so that was nice. The bathroom layout was a little funky though. The toilet was right next to the bathroom door. Which I have never experienced before. It bothered me having it next to the door when there was enough room in the bathroom to put it in a different spot. There breakfast was really good. Lots of things to choose from. They used real eggs as oppose to using powdered eggs. Overall, I would recommened this place. read more

My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights in September, 2021. They have a pool, free breakfast, arcade room and a fitness center. We did not use any of these because of 1) covid and 2) we were here for family business in the area which took up most of our time. We were greeted at the front desk by a friendly young woman. We went to our room on the 1st floor, unlocked the door and saw the room in a shambles. It had not been cleaned nor were the beds made. Back to front desk, where we were given a room on the 2nd floor. As soon as we exited the elevator, we were hit (assaulted feels more like it) by a very strong, extremely unpleasant odor. In fact, it smelled like the sewer had vomited its contents all along the 2nd floor. People were working on cleaning. The key opened the door, but only a few inches as the safety latch was blocking it from being fully opened. It was discovered that an employee was in there sleeping. Another trip to the front desk. This time we were on the 3rd floor, which had no odor. Opened the door and saw tools, including a compressor in the bathroom. The girl at the front desk was very apologetic and accompanied us to our 4th room on the stinky 2nd floor. At last a clean room with no one sleeping in it! And inside the room, the odor was not detectable. But the phone was broken and the tub not clean. Gross. We felt our room should have been comped, but it wasn't. Shame on them for not doing so. Also, no one was wearing a mask. So, we will definitely find somewhere else to stay next time, even if it is in a nearby town. I would advise anybody to do the same. read more

Hi, am just saying this was not the worst but probably not the best experience, 1 st night the heater didn't get above 63* so the manager did get me into another room, 2 bd room issues with flushing the toilet! No other room to move to because there were 30 rooms not cleaned due to weather conditions and no house keeping to speak of availability. I'm there for my job and weather conditions icy roads etc. so I can make it into work. This morning while attempting to walk over covered driveway, there was a sheet of ice on the surface of the driveway making it impossible to not slip slid etc!!! Now I can deal with the toilet and freezing room but what I don't need at age 70 is a fractured hip, I didn't fall but there were plenty of people sliding. What does it take to put a little sand down on the driveway and not saying cover the parking lot but for sure the covered driveway at the entrance of the hotel!!! They are not thinking ahead, while I was there there was construction going on the 3 rd floor, and it looks like it's under construction. The gals at check-in were nice, but that is the ONLY reason this place is getting a star... 1) my room was filthy, crumbs on the floor, old food left in mini-fridge, hair dryer base detached from wall and laying on counter, trash left from last guest. 2) This is an old hotel that is in need of a update...BAD! They were absolutely amazing. We brought our high school BBQ team down for the state competition. All of the teams had to check out by 430 am to get to competition at a good time and they opened up the continental breakfast area an hour early. The pool was very dirty there was room cards all over the pool floor, beer boxes all around the pool but the room was very nice.

A couple of good things, bed was comfy, but high off the ground. The front desk and breakfast staff was super friendly. The bad, had to have key re keyed every night. My belongs were re arranged and my suitcase was left opened. Another night the maids left our door open and my make up was taken out of my makeup bag and left on counter. We asked the desk clerk for the manager or owner to call 2 days in a row and have not received a call. With customer service and security issues I can't recommend this hotel to anyone. read more
