Just NO NO NO. When I walked into the lobby, it had a certain odor, but I thought OK. Maybe they just mopped so we went to the room and so the first thing I do is go into the bathroom where it smelled really bad of pee. The room was very dirty. With in one minute I knew we couldn't stay there. Got on my phone and made a reservation at the Hilton Garden suites. The rooms were great. The staff was awesome. The staff was very friendly. As soon as I walking to the room it reeked of smoke like an ashtray. It's a "smoke free facility ".I always check the mattress for bed bugs and didn't see any I saw stains which is kind gross. We left and when we came back around 2 am I checked the bed again and it seemed to be all clear. 20 minutes into getting in to bed my husband was being hit by some thing. He has bite marks in his legs and his back. I called to let them know and the guy said there had been 2 other guests since our stay stay in that room and there were no complaints. I don't know what bite my husband but it looks like bed bug bites to me. I tried calling them today twice but no answer. I'll try back later to see if the manager can help or something. *Update* I called back and a lady answered, she said the room was "reviewed " by their pest control company and they don't book it until it's checked which is strange because there were at least 2 sets of guests who stayed after us (the front desk told me this) and nothing was found, she said that all that she can do. I normally don't do reviews but I decided to do one. I am very happy with my stay and all the services that are provided to me by the staff. The Manager Erica who is very professional and who was very helpful and friendly, along with her staff. The breakfast is good especially when they have different types of the waffles flavors. My daughter favorite is the strawberry when they have it. The room was very pleasant, with comfortable beds, chairs and a table. The TV is a good size with good channels to watch. The bathroom was also good the water pressure for the shower good. The room also comes with a mini fridge, microwave (which is a plus for me) and a coffee maker for those who love coffee. Best stay ever very nice hot breakfast in the morning clean rooms I will definitely tell my friend

My first night staying at this property was great, the rooms are well kept, clean and up to date. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed my stay SO MUCH that went ahead and booked a 2nd night through a 3rd party website and their system kept glitching, making me book the reservation for a night I wasn't going to be there, I contacted them right away to let them know it was an honest miatake made by their glitchy system and they refused to change the reservation as it was a non-refundable reservation, even though the hotel verry kindly had agreed to change the dates since the reservation wasn't even chared yet. I didn't know what to do, I was desperate, without money and now without a room for that night, I literally felt LOST. Well in my desperation I heard Ericka front desk agent and I believe it was a lady from management who said "WE GOT YOU" and made my day and stay all better, by going OUT OF THEIR WAY and fixing what had been an honest mistake. I cannot be grateful enough for the empathy and compassion they showed me during this difficult time. Their amazing customer service goes a long way. THANK YOU!! read more

To preface I'm never one to leave reviews unless absolutely necessary. This hotel is a health and safety hazard and should be investigated I have also submitted a review to the better business bureau because of the lack of concern staff had towards guest welfare. Being that this hotel is in San Bernardino it is known that crime rates are high in this area. The hotel should have increased security or even the bare minimum of locking windows. Our room was broken into at 8pm and belongings were stolen including a CAR. The manager on duty lacked empathy and concern which made it seem like an inside job. If you read other reviews below you can see that this isn't the first case. Even Uber drivers, tow trucks and locals we met said that the Comfort Inn Colton is notorious for crime. Doesn't seem like this establishment will ever do anything about it. DO NOT STAY HERE. MULTIPLE REVIEWS CAN CONFIRM AND THE COLTON POLICE DEPARTMENT My friends and I stayed here for Countdown NYE, 2 night stay. The general manager checked us in, and we had a discussion about our plans for the night. So, she knew what our plans were and that we would gone for an extended period of time. On the first night, we checked in at 3pm, got ready for the event, and left the hotel at 7pm. Our hotel room was 124 on the first floor, with the window facing the back side of the hotel. It was still being cleaned by the maids when we arrived. By the time we got our bags out of the car and walked to the rooms, the maids were gone and they left the room door unlatched and open. We entered the room and got ready but we never touched the window when we showed up, but that's how our room was later broken into. We showed back up at the hotel after the event, around 4am, to our room DESTROYED, and the window wide open. One of my friends went around the back to check out the back side of the window, and jumped through. At that exact time, one of the maids knocked on our doors and said "we saw someone just jump through the window and wanted to make sure everyone was ok." When I later asked the manager about security cameras pertaining to this, she told me none of the cameras faced the back side of the hotel where our window would be visible. Ok then how did these maids, who were in the hallway at our room door, just see someone jump through our BACK window? After, we tried many times to lock the windows and they wouldn't lock. My friends were staying in room 123 (across the hall with the window facing the front of the hotel), so they also checked their window, which was also completely open and impossible to lock. Thankfully their room wasn't raided like ours. My CAR, my keys, my wallet, a Mac laptop, my friend's BMW car fob, my AirPods, and other random items were all stolen. We immediately called the police and went to the front desk. The overnight staff were already on the phone with the manager, who said all we can do is contact the police (who were already on their way). There was a complete disregard for our safety and the fact that the windows don't lock in either rooms. I was told to wait for the maintenance guy to show up at 2pm.... The police arrived around 5am, and the first thing the cops told us is, "don't ever stay here at this location again. This happened here every time there's a rave." I later also found out from the police that there was an additional two rooms raided that night. Like how do they get access to three different rooms? .... when I later mentioned this statement the cop made to the manger, Erica, she completely denied the allegations and said that it hadn't happened there at that location before. When the maintenance guy showed up at 2pm, it took him almost 10 tries to lock our window. And then he said "see it does lock".... Ok so if the windows are THIS difficult to lock, why haven't they been replaced? Why was my window not locked upon arrivals? If it was locked, how did these suspects magically break in? or how about for the general safety of your guests, why we're we not given instructions on such difficult locking systems? And when I asked the maintenance guy why there wasn't even a screen on our window, he said oh "well we can get you one" .... Ok so you have them laying around but not on the windows? .... Thank you... that's really gonna make a difference... I went back up to the front desk and insisted our rooms be moved to the 2nd floor for the 2nd night stay, as I had a lot of work to do with the police in regards to my car being stolen and every other hotel was booked. The general manager confirmed that the suspects we caught on video jumping into my vehicle and taking off, but only the police could come to review the footage. I was completely dishearten at how extremely insensitive the manager was after what happened to us. She was unfazed, unamused, not concerned, and didn't offer any sort of assistance in the matter. I feel like we were targeted from the moment we walked in, and I will make sure the people responsible are held accountable. I have lodged a formal complaint again her with the choice hotel chain, and will be seeking legal action for the incident that took place. Please be safe, and learn from my mistake. Absolutely horrendous quality of rooms and staff. The check-in process was abysmal, and when I got into my room it did not look clean at all. Also when I got back into my room after going out for food it appeared as if someone had been going through my stuff as a lot of things had been moved and not where they were before. I rented a room at the Moreno Valley Comfort inn. I was only going to rest a few minutes and change clothes for a special event. This is a non smoking Hotel so they say. I was given room 106 and when I opened the door the smell was so bad I had to get housekeeping to spray something. It was still so bad I just changed my clothes and went to the office to tell them about the room. I was told I wouldn't be charged for what I thought was the room. Turns out these nice people didn't charge me for the smoke smell in the room. I have never smoked and would never had paid for the smoke smell but what a crappy way to handle the situation. Purchased 3 nights here and stayed none due to false advertisement of a WORKING jacuzzi. It did not work, when i checked the maintenance man and front office told me that wasn't going to work for the entirety of my stay. I attempted to get a refund and was told that because i payed through priceline it wouldn't be possible. PRICELINE was called and said that it was the hotels jurisdiction because all of the money had been sent over. The hotel was rude to me, would not refund me or help me any other ways, even though i did not get to stay there! Horrible customer service, if you had a pleasant experience it's because you didn't ask for anything to be helped with on your trip. The pros: Check in was fast and easy and the staff was very friendly. The cons: The rooms smell like cigarettes, and the key cards don't work unless you hold them a specific way which the hotel clerk told us when we went back to get them fixed. We booked this hotel after calling to confirm that their swimming pool would be open. When we checked in on Friday we got our bathing suits and sunscreen on and we went to the pool and there was a lock on it. We went to the front desk and the lady said that the guy had come later than expected and barely put the chemicals in so it would be closed until the next day. We got up on Saturday and again we got our bathing suits and sunscreen on... the lock was on the gate, I went to the front desk clerk again and she said it would be another hour for her to open it. I understand maintenence needs to be done on the pool but we specifically booked this hotel to use the pool on Friday and Saturday morning. We have an event to go to on Saturday afternoon so at this point we really don't have anymore time to be able to enjoy the pool since we check out on Sunday morning. read more

3-28 Just checked into this hotel. Friendly front desk lady. Extremely clean hotel. Smells of citrus cleaners. Very spacious room. Lots of little extras (see photos). I am a Travel ER nurse and after a loooong busy 14 hour shift I was driving on the hwy heading home in my scrubs feeling weary and felt sleepy so decided it best to pull over to close my eyes for the night. Walking into the beautiful lobby and being greeted by such a warm friendly person was just what I needed. They were booked almost to full capacity and Marco didn't think there was any rooms left but instead of just blowing it off he said "let me check again" and VIOLA! I was able to get a nice place to rest shower remove these nasty scrubs and plop down my weary bones. I truly believe that what you give comes back to you! It definitely did tonight. Don't even know where to start with this review. Stayed here from 7/28/22-7/30/22 (original booking was till the 1st) for a festival and our room was broken into the first night of the festival.(7/29) over $4k of our groups belongings were taken. wallets were rummaged through and came to find out they took pictures of our card information. all of our car keys were taken. we were told to make a police report and the officer was of no help. all he said was "i expected this to happen" brushed it off and said he'd look at the cameras but we watched him leave before doing so. the whole situation was very suspicious to us. first of all there were no signs of break in other than our key not working. after making the police report we tried to switch rooms and they wouldn't let us. they were also of no help to us either we were told we have to wait till management arrives to look at the cameras and they would let us know. heard nothing. we ended up booking another hotel and just leaving. when we called back to ask ask for a refund for the rest of our days bc of what happened we were met with an attitude and "why didn't you call earlier?!" (even though we had told them the night before that it happened meaning there's no communication between staff) then when we told them it was because we didn't feel safe so we wanted to leave asap then they said without skipping a beat "well we looked at the cameras and saw no activity at your room" we hadn't even told them who we were on the phone yet so how would they know what room to look for? this part was suspicious because believe it or not our room was not the only room broken into that night! we ran into another group that night that also had their room broken into. if they checked the cameras and saw nothing that would make me think a maid/hotel staff entered the room with a key which would explain why our key didn't work when we got back that night. it would explain why there were no signs of break in and also why the staff was so stand offish to us and the other guests who had the same thing happen. I don't know if that happened but it was all weird and a very stressful situation. also the fact that they have no sort of security except cameras especially being in the area it's in doesn't make it any better. but yeah, horrible stay, staff and hotel, would give -10 stars if i could. be better comfort inn. an update on this review. after some digging and reading reviews apparently this is a common problem people run into when staying here! i read multiple reviews of people leaving and coming back to missing valuable items in their rooms, management refusing to look at cameras or just lying about how the cameras work or what's on them. I am 100% an employee from the hotel did this to us and the staff knew. it's probably a regular thing for them. something that makes me think this is that yes they took valuable items but they also took all of my makeup products and some hair accessories and hair tools. none of value and all used so unable to be resold for any value. makes me suspicious knowing all the employees are female. some things that were taken just didn't make sense. it was like whoever did this just had a free for all and to pick and choose things they liked. if it was someone breaking in for valuables things like that would be looked over. this is not the place to stay especially if you have anything valuable with you. read more

But once I was in the parking lot, you never felt at risk and I never heard the freeway in 3 days of staying there. CCTV covering the parking and the hallways. Very clean, well kept establishment. I was traveling for work and needed a hotel at the last minute. I did my usual hotels.com search and found the Comfort Inn & Suites and decided to give it a try. I booked the room online and showed up in the middle of the night to check in. Even though I had booked the room online I asked for a late check-out and was accommodated easily. Which I really appreciate. I have a problems with hotels that either a) don't offer late check outs, or b) won't accommodate them. But here it wasn't a problem. I went up to my room, and the room was well kept and clean. The bathroom was also in good repair and also clean. The room was large, and it had a comfortable chair to sit in. The air conditioner was a little loud, but nothing to keep you awake or complain about. The hotel also offered complimentary breakfast from 6am-9am. It wasn't anything spectacular, and definitely isn't going to compete with a Holiday Inn Express breakfast. But it was still very nice, and they had the usual offerings like waffles, cereals, muffins, and fruits. Also, because I had a late check-out I put the "do not disturb" sign on my door, and the custodial staff passed by my room! It's the small things I tell you! I can't remember how many times I've had it hanging on the door and the custodial staff still comes by and either just barges in, or still bangs on the door. But they let me sleep. Look, hotels are always tricky. Usually you choose one either due to proximity, or brand loyalty. But if you're in Colton, and need a hotel, give Comfort Inn and Suites a shot! read more

The interior of the facility is clean, however the majority of the staff are VERY rude. I recommend their sister property Rodeway Inn just down the street from here. The rooms are comparable, there are numerous places to eat all within walking distance and the ENTIRE staff is friendly. The rates are FAR better as well. This place was disgusting! We got here late last night and had to wait about 10 mins for someone to come to the front desk and open the door for us. The front desk person was pretty unprofessional too. When we got to our room, our keys wouldn't work. We had to go through the maze of a hotel to find the office! And guess what?! The front desk person wasn't even at her desk. What a shocker! NOT! Once we finally got our keys fixed and got into our room, we sanitized the room and washed our hands. There was hair in our towels and it wasn't just on one towel. We asked for more towels in the morning and can you guess how many we got?! 2! 2 freaking towels and one of those towels had a damn hair ball stuck on it! We got those towels after having to call twice. My sister checked out and complained about our experience. Front desk lady was like "oh." We had our room inspected. Wish they did that "inspection" throughly when they clean the rooms. On top of that, we had a non smokers room. But can y'all guess what it smelled like? If you guessed stale smoke then you win! It smelled like stale smoke! This place is just gross. Don't stay here! Also, if y'all don't like sketchy people, I'd suggest y'all not to stay here. Too many weirdos walking around the front & inside the property & no security doing anything about it! That is uncomfortable & nerve racking. Esp in a tiny parking lot where you have to park on the sides or walk through long halls isolated. Stains on ceiling, blankets, carpets, tables. Burn marks on chairs & curtains. One of side entrance doors isn't sealed locked (it has duct tape!), not safe at all. Smells HORRIBLY like cigarettes. Trash in corner behind microwave (someone forgot to sweep there). Toilet didn't flush properly & bathroom sink had no running water had to brush my teeth in the tub! Tv literally only had infomercials channels. AC was loud & rattling. Unfortunately we have been staying in motels for the past 2 1/2 months because we're having trouble finding a place to live and this motel is by far the best one we have stayed at the staff is very nice and professional especially the manager Erica she takes care of all your needs if you need something no matter what time of day it is they bring it to you even if she has to bring it to you personally. Okay I'm not new to Hotel stays. My favorite is The Marriot but I can't afford that while I'm a traveling nurse. Although, I am a Gold member and I have been using Choice Hotels since 2017. I have recently noticed since 2020 which hotel I prefer to stay in out of Choice hotel selections. That is Comfort Inn &Suites because of the room amenities, room cleanliness and promise of smoke free. Yet, during my current stay I have noticed several issues within my room. First, someone decided to make a evil drawing on the lampshade, hmm! Next, the bed lien's did not look nor smell clean, the pillows on the bed upon entry look wrinkled. Basically used and never changed! the blanket in the closet has never been washed, has a lot of dust and smells horrible, and the coffee maker had a used filter still in it. It is clear the housekeepers are not paying attention nor attending to room details. So in the midst of COVID do I feel my room has been sanitized? Nope! Yet, these hotels are not ensuring the public safety from infection nor cleaning rooms. So, Next time I'm in the area I will make sure I stay at " The Holiday Inn Express" reasons: very clean lien without wrinkles, no old stains on sheets, towels nor furniture and they serve Hot breakfast to go. Yes serve hot breakfast they have someone making the food and handing it out. Yet this hotel failed to serve breakfast to all its paying customers. Breakfast ends at 9am, I went at 830am and told breakfast was over ran out of food. Wow! See ppl actually read reviews and base their choices on what they read. Life is really tough right now with all that's going on.. I've been staying at comfort inn colton ca for a year and a half. I've seen the day to day dealings. The staff is awesome and go above and beyond. I've watched them handle situations with ppl that no one should have to put up with.. Very large rooms. Clean. Maintenance is great. He's on it a repair is needed or something isn't working right... If it can't be fixed right away they change your room... For a short time ppl were hanging in the parking lot... They employed a security service and tow service... ( make sure to get a parking permit) that seemed to get rid of that mess.. If it's safety you're worried about... Probably should look for a room outside of San bernardino.. This hotel is a great value with great ppl and has bbq... Covid has changed the world and ppl in it... They do their best in the worst of times... And I will always choose comfort inn... read more

From the very beginning, the front desk (both AM and PM) employees were terrific; they were professional in nature. I observed them ( while I was in the lobby and walking thru the hallways) greeting each customer with a smile. ( Apparently, they love what they do at the Comfort Inn.) My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was as if I were in IHOP each day--an abundance of food to choose from.
