Clean rooms, very friendly staff! We came in very late and were greeted by Diana at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. It's an older building, but kept as well and as clean as possible. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the breakfast is pretty basic and not alot of options. Room was clean, price was right, breakfast was average, walls were thin. The room above us left on loud music throughout the night. Loud enough that the staff moved 4 other parties. We tried to sleep through it. Finally at 3:00 am I requested the staff try to intervene. They told me that they had banged on the door several times already and the occupant would not answer(probably couldn't hear over the music). The staff would not call the police. They offered to move us to another room, but what good does that do when you have to get up and on the road in a few hours? We would have been even more awake at that point. Cache Valley Electric had a bunch of workers staying there and we confirmed it was one of their employees that ruined our evening. Even though the staff was accommodating, they didn't seem to want to do everything they could to get the noise to stop. I assume this hotel has a contract with Cache Valley Electric for workers that are out in the area and they did not want to involve the police for this reason. I won't stay here again. read more

A small fortune for a one night sleep shave & shower but way better than I expected! Pros (alot) 1. Indoor pool & spa. Open late, was hot, clean and refreshing after 463 miles of driving 2. Safe. Very safe. Left a lot of stuff in my truck, and parked next to my room. Completely untouched, very nice! 3. Convenient: Right off I15, next to Loves Burger King Taco John's and Maverik Gas/diesel. 4. Room was SPOTLESS. A+ roomskeepers here. 5. TV had weather channel. Quite a God-send when you're in "Whereinthehellamiagain, UT?" 6. Well lit 7. Laundry on site 8. Customer service very friendly, especially the gal on evening shift on check in 9. No security deposit hassle Cons (very few) 1. While outer lot parking for trailers, etc is abundant the actual spots near hotel are tight. They're not quite long enough and I had maybe 6" on either side before door dinging some poor fellow traveler. 2. Corona is over. Continental breakfast was a sack of snacks. We found this hotel to be nice. Clean rooms and bathrooms - although the bathrooms were small. Fairly quiet for the amount of children staying above us. Pool was operational and appears able to be used maybe 24 hours a day. No continental breakfast or golden malt waffles. Instead you get a bag breakfast which is little more than sugar and carbs - no protein. Lost hot water taking a morning shower. Younger staff seemed a bit bereft of customer service and what the hospitality industry is about. Once morning arrived the cleaning staff got busy and were friendly. Costa vida next door has pretty decent Mexican food. I'd stay here again but would want a working waffle iron. read more

I've been staying at the Comfort Inn for over 20 years. I have a customer loyalty number and everything. I generally find them to be one of the better mid-grade hotel chains. Unfortunately, this location is not representing well for the brand. I was traveling with my teenage daughter through southern UT and she really needed to use the restroom. I have a buddy system rule for my daughters but since there was no one to go into the restroom with her, I opted to use the lobby bathroom at this Comfort Inn rather than a rest stop or gas station. If you ever saw the old Keifer Sutherland/Sandra Bullock movie, The Vanishing, you might have some residual paranoia like me but as a father, I'm always trying to keep my kids safe. Because of this philosophy, I've used hotel lobby restrooms at known hotel chains when on trips with my kids for years and believe it or not, this is the first time I've ever encountered an issue and it happened to be in UT of all places where the people are known to be kind and helpful. They had a gargoyle perched right inside the front door who immediately told my daughter she couldn't use the restroom the instant she walked through the door. I don't think they even asked if she was a guest or not. She really needed to go and was upset. I get hung up on principle so I walked in myself to appeal to them and offer them my customer number. I encountered the same gargoyle and when she shut me down and I started arguing, the manager came out and decided to argue with me as well. She did not care about the fact that though we weren't staying at that particular location at the moment, I am a well established customer who has probably spent thousands of dollars there over the years. Bottom line, the chain overall hasn't lost my business but they should probably do some retraining at this location because the way they treated us was unacceptable. read more

If it's your only option...we stayed here 4 days. The staff was very kind and professional. The ownership and management have neglected this hotel. The carpets in the hallways and lobby made the bottoms of my feet black. That tells me they never clean their carpets. The calking around the toilets, shower, and AC units are cracked. There is a musty smell when the AC unit kicks on. The small refrigerator does not work and the linoleum in the bathroom is cracking. Looks like the owners and management want to save as much money as possible while the hotel disintegrates. I think I'll stay at the Best Western next time. read more

Comfy Motel. Great breakfast with make it yourself waffles! Most motels with continental breakfast lay out a table of bagels, muffints etc. in the morning, once the foods gone your SOL! Not here, whenever anything starting running low, the lady in charge of breakfast would quickly re-stock! The pool and jacuzzi are open 24 hours. No elevator to 2nd floor so if you have any trouble climbing stairs, ask for a ground floor room. Easy access from I-15, just behind the Arby's. read more

Wanted to stop between Saint George and Salt Lake. Noticed the high price, and we read that the location had been "remodeled and was new", soooo we booked it for one night, but everything we looked at appeared to be in need of repair or updating. The night was quiet for sleeping, so staying here would be worth perhaps half of what we paid ($174 plus tax?). From the parking lot to the toilet, everything NEEDS updating (help). BED BUGS!!! We were assigned room 112 and at around midnight we noticed a bedbug crawling around on the gray lounger chair near the bed. YUCK!!! Office staff were fast to give us another upgraded room and comped the night, however the nightmare of cleaning up once home is not what I was hoping for. My sister and I stayed and we had a fantastic stay. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was great plenty of variety. Room was very clean, beds were very comfortable and quiet. There were deer out the back door and seemed to be comfortable also. We ate the Mexican Restaurant across the parking lot and the food was fantastic, very good burritos and nachos. read more

Subject: Legal, but bad, bad business practice. "On my way home, my family and I needed a place to stay late one Monday night. Comfort Inn Fillmore seemed like the perfect place. I went to Expedia and made a non-refundable reservation for what I thought was that night. When I arrived at midnight, they had no rooms for us! We had to find another place to stay. Either Expedia or I made a mistake by booking my rooms for two weeks later. Within an hour of leaving Comfort Inn Fillmore, I tried to cancel the mistaken reservation through Expedia. Despite trying three times through Expedia, my reservation could not be cancelled because Comfort Inn Fillmore would not authorize the cancellation of a mistaken booking 13 days away. I think that refusing a cancellation within 12 hours of when the reservation was made and within one hour of showing up at your doorstep expecting a room is not a good business practice and it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. This was clearly an erroneous booking with plenty of time to rebook for a Labor Day weekend. As you read this review, remember, you have choices. Perhaps you should choose the higher rated (at this time) Best Western in Filmore. I wish I had. " read more

We booked a King accessible and arrived at the hotel after driving all day. It was midnight and kids were in the pool but no front desk person to be found. After 20 min we finally got her to come check us in. We were sent to 2 different rooms that were not what we booked. We need a king bed or 2 beds and we were sent to 2 different rooms with double or queen beds, then we are told they didnt have a king or 2 bed type rooms on the first floor, no elevator and I have bad knees. So she says she will upgrade us to a suite but it's on the 2nd floor. We hobble up to the room and it has a shower beside the bed. No shower curtain for privacy or even a divider, just a shower in the room by the bed. So they move us to yet another room. Thankfully this one was appropriate and the bed soft. By 2am we finally were able to go to bed. If you dont mind not getting what you booked, dont have a preference of bed, dont have a disability hindering your climbing stairs, or need privacy when showering, great. Otherwise you may spend some time getting the right room. read more

The night I was here there was no vacancy due to a snow storm, and I watched a lot of customers come in and become frustrated with her when she could not get them into rooms. It was clearly a difficult night for her, but she handled all the conversations/confrontations with absolute professionalism and courtesy, even given the unfortunate circumstances. I checked in at 330 am and was told breakfast is 530-830 I head down At 825 on Sunday morning I step inside the bacon smelling breakfast shop to find the hot trays empty and no plates cups or bowls. When I inquired about the meal the old short lady points to the clock on the wall that clearly reads 827 and says we quit breakfast at 830, I say it it is 827 she shrugs her shoulders. Maybe I'm just road tired and easily annoyed but damn some food would be sweet about now. Also my room smells moldy, it stinks. read more

The maids aren't very quiet and even though I had the do not disturb on the door, she still knocked on the door. The breakfast was good too. They had a good selection of food. Clean room, good place to stay overnight. The young man at the front desk was sooooo helpful and tolerant of us. We had rooms on the 2nd floor and they don't have an elevator. My 81 year young Mom has an 81 year young knee and has a hard time negotiating stairs (especially after a gin & tonic or 2). Anyhoo, the nice young man at the front desk was more than willing to give her a downstairs room and handled our check in very professionally for one so young. Traveling home we stopped at a Best Western first ( due to when we needed to stop and rest) they were full and suggested the Comfort Inn the next exit over. We were able to check in only we couldn't have a 1st floor room. My Mom is handicap and has a hard time with stairs. The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful and said she would be glad to help. Although the outside was old and might need repairs our room was extremely clean and had very comfortable beds. The pillows one fluffy and soft the other firm. Sheets were so comfortable and soft. The pool is 24 hrs. And having a family of night owls this is very accommodating. We didn't use it but we thought it was a huge bonus The breakfast was so delicious and being that it was complimentary I thought the spread was very diverse. The other thing was I had to wake my children and we barely made it by 8:25 they close breakfast at 8:30. We we came the attendant at the breakfast area never rushed us. Even her demeanor was welcoming and never gave a vibe of " oh goodness get done already" Because if her welcoming vibe we relaxed and enjoyed our breakfast. When done at about 8:45ish another couple came in to eat and still she was kind and never acted like we should hurry or them. For that this was a extremely wonderful stop on our long journey. We came from Grand Canyon and heading to Salt Lake City last night for our flight back to Philadelphia and we got so tired we decided to stop on the way. I am a member of Marriott, Wyndham, Hilton, Holiday Inn hotels etc. but no hotels available for the night. So we stopped at Fillmore and saw this inn. We had a bad experience with a Choice hotel in Virginia Beach before and we don't want to stay in one again. But we really needed a place to get some rest for the night so I went in and was greeted by staff Lisa who is very nice, very accommodating and the inn looks and smells clean. Biggest plus was the 24 hour use of their indoor pool. They also have an early breakfast. The hallway smells so clean, unexpected for an old inn. Our room is very clean, beds are very comfortable. I highly recommend this Choice hotel location. You won't regret it. read more

This place gets one star because it is dangerous! Otherwise, it would get a 3--adequate. You do not need to use your room key to enter the back doors. I took my dog out at 7 a.m., and a man was sleeping in a chair in the lounge area at the back door. I walked the dog around to the front and told the woman at the front desk. I stayed out with the dog long enough for them to do something about the man, but he was still there when I returned. About 45 minutes later, when we were checking out, the desk clerk mentioned the incident to the GM, who was helping us. I was livid! I told her I had expected her to do something about him-- maybe it was innocent; maybe his wife kicked him out. They had no idea-- they never asked! And even tho we reported the man was now eating breakfast, they STILL made no move to talk to him. This location worked well for our return trip from AZ to WA, but we won't do it again. read more

Great stop in the middle of nowhere! We were happy to find a place to stay in Fillmore, it was too far to go to SLC and we didn't want to deal with cedar city of St George so this was perfect! Great service from Emery when we checked in, they even had a cork screw for my bottle of wine when I realized I forgot to pack mine, in Utah, that is a huge plus for me!! This hotel was adequate. Not a ton of options in the area. However, it was clean and quiet, desk staff was slow but pleasant, breakfast better than expected (full hot meal comes with room). When I arrived, there was a strong Lysol smell in the room so had to leave the window open a long time. Furnishings outdated, vinyl bathroom floor old and cracked, bed OK, sheets clean but very wrinkled like they were crumpled up in a heap after washing, all the lights worked but the internet was really slow. All in all, the word I keep returning to is "adequate." read more

Wanted a nice clean, but moderately priced, place to stay along our road trip. We stayed here and were quite pleased. It was clean, beds and pillows were comfy, and had a pool and hot tub. It was tax day so we were pleased to find a small business center in the lobby to print out some forms from our email (at no charge!). The parking lot is huge if your towing or have an RV. The staff was so nice and very helpful. Their were several options for food within walking distance too. Overall a great experience! read more

If you are in the road and need a place to stay for the night. It features a pool and spa but unfortunately the indoor pool was closed because it is not handicap accessible and he staff is unsure if it will every reopen. Continental Breakfast is served from 5:30am to 8:30 am on the north side of the building. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs , bacon , waffles , assorted bagels , muffins and pastries. Not a bad selection considering the location, biggest downfall of this hotel was that the cleaning staff got a little side tracked and made the beds but didn't empty trash or provide fresh towels. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel but clean. The remodel bathroom sink is nice. Our toilet needed help refilling as the bobber kept getting caught on the drain. The room door had to be shut firmly as the lock caught it every time. The bed was comfy and bedding clean. The walls here are super thin. I could hear next door cough and I apologize to our neighbors for my 4 year old's 6am cartoons. The pool and hot tub are nice. Breakfast was good -a wider selection of continental. I am very late in making this review because we have been on the road so much; however I could not let this review go by. Usually Comfort Inns have a very good reputation and have a standard to go by. The one in Fillmore,UT is an exception to the rule. We stayed in Room 112 on July 23. The toilet seat had been replaced by a wrong size and was not even screwed down right. The lamp above the night stand was missing the button to turn the light on so we had to use an overhead switch to turn on and off and stumble to bed in the dark. The night curtain had a large tear in it as well. I felt like we got the room that had not been used in awhile. The only good thing about this hotel was that the continental breakfast was actually quite decent. If you are traveling on Interstate 15 make your trip a little longer and go to the Comfort Inn in Ogden just north of Roy, UT. It was like visiting the Tajmahal vs Fillmore's Comfort Inn and was actually less in price. We couldn't get over that one. read more

If you are staying in Fillmore, UT. you should already know that realistically there are only 2 choices of Hotels to stay, the "Comfort Inn" or "Best Western Paradise Inn." We looked at both and decided to stay at this one, the Comfort Inn. The Best Western Paradise Inn hotel had a Restaurant on location. Both had an indoor pool and offered a breakfast. The Best Western price was $10.00 less per night. However we decided to stay at the Comfort Inn because at a glance it was much nicer because it had just recently been renovated. So, with that said....... We were just passing through town for 1 night. Just looking for a clean place to sleep with a decent breakfast to get on the road fast the next morning. Even upon checking into the room we quickly noticed the problem with housekeeping, we found already opened and drank out of juice boxes in our fridge from the prior guests. The toilet had not been scrubbed in some time, gunky ring inside. There was hair collected in the strainer of the shower, so much that it actually backed up the shower.... disgusting!!! I refused to bath my kids in the bathtub at all. To make this situation worse, when we mentioned the cleaning issues to the front desk they just advised us that, "Housekeeping was recently under new management." Even with the new renovations to the room, the housekeeping issue was a deal breaker for us. As for the other amenities, the breakfast was NOT quality or filling there was a small amount of old stale, processed food set out. The Pool is small but manageable since there aren't many people using it. Overall the room was pretty nice as it's newly renovated, however the housekeeping issue was a Major Problem so beware!!! read more

My family had been driving 12 hours and had no reservation. We had two adults, 2 kids, and a puppy. We called, got a room, checked in, and paid within minutes. The room was clean and cozy. Only downfall was that the air conditioner thermostat was hard to control, so the room did not stay cool. 24 hour pool was good for the kids. There was a small decent breakfast good for settling us before another day of driving. read more
