If I could give zero stars I would. While the bed was pretty comfy, the overall experience was horrible. The breakfast was ok but the coffee was just soooo watered down like they're trying to cut costs. Now for the worst of it, I called the hotel to make sure the pool was open and was assured it was. Then today the pool was closed all day for maintenance. My kids were so excited to swim, so we had to pay to got to the aquatic center. THEN we go to wash our laundry and the washing machine isn't working. The front desk said it's been having problems. The solution is that we have to just keep trying and it will eventually work, BUT they don't reimburse with quarters so we have to go back to the gas station to get more quarters because our clothes are covered with soap. read more

So had to come to Hermiston for and emergency medical issue with a family member and drove over 4 hours to get here, we called when we got into town at 1:30 Saturday morning and asked for a room for my wife and myself and 3 children. We were told yes we have one for the night, being Saturday morning you would think no worries check out will be Sunday, well guess not and there is nothing that can be done and you and your 3 kids can be out by 11 that same day, Thanks Hannah. Oh and coincidentally there is no manager on the weekends so not sure how any problems will be addressed if they arise. But hey thanks for paying all that money for not even half a day. Not much I can do with 3 sleeping kids and no one that can do anything since there isn't a manager available. What a great hotel! Also just found out this morning that Hannah lied about the price and it is not what she had said . The pool is laughable. It was hazy and there was no way I was going to swim in it. There are ZERO charging station in the room. We left the last room and this was just one reason. I was disappointed but so sick of it I figure this is just what hermiston has to offer. My husband travels and I came with. There is absolutely no outside seating or comfort. Let's start with the basics... NO room in Hermiston, Oregon is worth $200 a night‍ I get that there was a state basketball tournament in town and hotels adjust their rates but these were little kids, not even high school. When the fire alarm went off at 4:15am and we woke up to no power, I appreciate that they evacuated the hotel and the fire department showed up. At least we were able to sit in our car in our pajamas and not stand outside. When we were told we could return to our room but there was "still a glitch in the fire system" we were tired and thought, ok. When the fire alarm continued to do a double beep (y'all have hear fire alarms, right) every 25 minutes until 7am... I was a bit cranky It took a few days to get what I thought should be a no brainer, but they did issue us a full refund. Would I stay there again, probably not but the staff was friendly read more

Called an hour ahead to check in in with 2 adults 1 11 month old and two puppies for $175 show up for reservation it's $190 Roll my puppies in with my wife and daughter I had to pay $40 for the puppies, then had a receipt in my door saying I had snuck in a dog now I'm paying $60 and now all together it's $250. Finally a 3 star hotel that isn't a complete dump. I typically shoot for staying in a 3 star hotel but lately I've felt like most are terrible. This one however wasn't bad at all. Friendly staff, clean room, ok breakfast. Really our biggest complaint was the pool area being pretty rundown and in need of some updates. Do not stay here. They do not care about you or your business. We reserved a room to stay in the same hotel as the our daughter's college softball team. When the game location was changed they would not refund our room even with 3 days notice. Apparently when I booked I clicked a non-refundable room, I will own that mistake, but their website is misleading and their service deplorable. I booked directly with this hotel to avoid any problems, in the future I will book with a different hotel. Business is about choices and this is a bad business. read more

I have been staying here for business purposes and at first I thought I was being to picky. But after multiple times of rude staff, hard to get the phone answered, wake up calls that aren't supposed to wake the neighbors, and an aching back I am going to write my piece. Don't come for sleep because you hear the trucks coming in and out and backing up All Night. The hot tub and pool room although cleanish looking the water is still suspect. The beds are hard as a rock in all rooms I have been in. The TVs don't work correctly with the limited hard to capture satellite and there is No food delivery. Your options are a gas station A&W where I exited stage left when I saw the teenager picking her nose. Good luck I'm stuck with one more stay since you can't get any refund if you use their website to book. Just Fair warning. My mistake booking three stays straight. Grr! read more

This is a big NOPE for me. I will likely only stay here again if Oxford Suites and Holiday Inn farther up the street are booked. The room was fine. The noise level outside my room was much louder than I've experienced at most hotels at this price point. It could have something to do with the fact that I was on the 1st floor right near that reception, which was not my preference at all. However, there were so many people who would congregate in the hall, right outside my door. Children would run up and down the hallways sometimes screaming. It seemed odd the management didn't control this more. There was an odd crackling in the room coming from the electrical system that would happen every 20 minutes. Worst of all, there was the most repugnant smell outside the hotel that wasn't in the room but was slightly in the lobby. It smelled like cows were living and pooping right outside the hotel. When I asked about this I was told it was the Blue Diamond dog food farm nearby. read more

Room was super nice, Marisol working the front desk was SUPER NICE. I brought my dogs and they both got bags of treats. She found a place for me to park as well. I had a long trailer with me, (35 feet plus truck). Really good coffee and tea in room. The entrance and lounge is nice. They have a jacuzzi and pool inside as well. I think I will be choosing comfort inn the rest of my trip. Price was very reasonable as well. If I'm ever out this way again, definitely stopping here! read more

Craptacular hotel. Good enough room but they are lying when they call your room a suite and charge you extra for it. The breakfast is great. There are lots of things broken!! Hotel and lobby computers are down, back door broken, broken shower head, put me in a handicap room without asking (which is hard on someone tall!!). THERE IS NO INTERNET. I have some important work to do and I am out of luck. Seems to be an ongoing problem here and previous reviewer is right... They DON'T DARE! I am preceding this review with the fact that I am in the hospitality industry and I may come across as picky and long winded, but it is important to me when I travel to have a full review. Location: My uncle is with the Hermiston police department and said despite being a truck stop (Arco, A&W, QuickStop/Pilot type establishment), it was a good location without high criminal activity. I anticipated a lot of traffic noise, but it wasn't noticeable even being on the ground floor near the fitness center/pool as requested because I do have the kiddo and don't want to disturb guests below me. Cost: $120 per night plus taxes/fees weekend/summer rates I'm sure. Which is nearly double older hotels that offered the same amenities (breakfast, wi-fi, and pool) and $20-$40 more than hotels that were in the same "bracket" of newness. My expectations were high based on the price. Check In: They had me pre-checked because I had prepaid for the stay, so the process was smooth and fast. I arrived around 3:45 pm (can check in at 3). The clerk to help me was Maria; her appearance was little over the top for me. Naturally a dark haired individual, bleached blonde with grow out, bright and heavy make up and appeared transgender (this is unconfirmed). The extreme hair color and make up came across as trashy and unprofessional whether male or female. She was somewhat friendly, but transactional. While she did inform me of the breakfast hours and location, as well as information in the key holder; she did forget to inform me of the check out time, which I looked up to be 11 am. Room: Nice, spacious, and clean, although the carpets and arm chair could use a shampooing to remove the several stains. We had a nice king bed, with a desk, arm chair, fridge, microwave, coffee pot (flavored creamers by breakfast door was a nice bonus), dresser, flat screen TV with satellite services and free wi-fi available that worked well. The primary reason for a lower review of this hotel was because in the morning there were bugs all over the bathroom floor (centipedes and beetles of some sort) that weren't there when I checked in. Being a farm gal, I don't flip out, but I did take pictures to show to the lady at the front desk immediately. She took note of the complaint on a sticky note, but took no ownership or show any attempt to even acknowledge my concern. I told her I didn't need full housekeeping service, but they could go in to clean the bathroom and the bugs. They did not and I ended up cleaning them myself. The housekeepers didn't speak English, so when I tried to talk to them in the hall, it went no-where. I did manage to get a couple of bath towels after showing her a dirty one. Pool: Nice pool, although water was cloudy ranged from 3'-5' deep. Hot tub wasn't hot, but warmer than the pool. Which was good for me, considering I am pregnant and can't use hot, hot tubs I still limited my exposure. The bathroom in the pool area was gross smelling, dirty and needed to be cleaned. They had plenty of pool towels and a few chairs around the pool. There is no lifeguard and while there is a keyed entry, it was either broken or unlocked and did not require the key. Good hours 6am-10pm, did not get overly crowded, although some of the older kids were jumping in where the youngsters were at and being disrespectful without any direct supervision, so we left the pool a little earlier then we initially planned. The fitness center is small, but offers the basics with the same hours as the pool. Breakfast: Offers the basic cold continental breakfast (cereals, muffins, pastries, yogurt etc.) and adds in waffles (blueberry or regular), hard boiled eggs, bagels, jams, oatmeal, juices, milk, coffee, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy. It is a nice spread of food to choose from and met my expectations considering Super 8 and Days Inn offer the same breakfast with lower room rates. Check Out: Quick and painless, again because it was prepaid, I simply dropped off the keys and away I went. Overall we would stay here again if our choices were limited, but there are nice hotels that offer the same stuff for lower rates. Especially when the bugs were brought to their attention and they did nothing about it. read more

There is a horrible smell outside. When asked, I was told it was from local farms. But it really smelled like a backed up septic system. The smell came into the hotel so there was a strong air freshener smell in the lobby. The pool was by reservation only - which is a great idea, but there were no times available at night. The only available time we could sign up for was 6:30am. When my husband and daughter went down to swim, the outside door in the pool room was open and the sewage smell could be smelled inside. The room was large but needs updating. Breakfast was basic. The reason for 2 stars was the staff was really nice and they allow pets. Overall, for the price, I would skip this hotel and drive further to a nicer location. If you can get the room for under $75 then it might be worth it. If you do stay here, I would recommend Trina's Mexican Food in town. read more

I stay here on business from time to time. Service is very friendly and helpful. Always greeted with a smile and they're always communicative about room availability and how busy things look day to day, so I always know what my chances are to extend a day or not as I go along - good for my line of business. Rooms are always clean, they do not smell like old cigarettes, I have never seen an ant infestation or been mysteriously bitten by something in the night - no problems there. Internet is fine for simple stuff, way better than other areas in more rural places where I work in Oregon. Don't expect major speed, but it serves its purpose. Definitely a noise factor no matter where you are in the hotel - there are busy roads, and it's a well-used gas station/parking lot for trucks. Ag and factories are what makes Hermiston function, so there are smells associated. Keep your windows shut, and it's fine. It's a working town, not a vacation spot. Lots of traveling/consulting/contract workers stay here - road construction, wind techs, various other stuff, so it can be packed to the gills on a Tuesday night. Breakfast is fine. Coffee is not exactly great but it's drinkable - I've had way worse. Hot food is a little janky, but this is a low-end chain, so that's what it is. Lots of other ways to put a solid, fairly healthy meal together though with oatmeal, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, little salsa packets, peanut butter, various bread, fruit, cereal etc. Also in the summertime there's a melon stand outside, so if you're really not feeling it, go get a cantaloupe. Nice clean rooms. However I stayed here for 2 weeks for work and there was always something wrong with the room when I first checked in. Never anything horrible but enough that I needed to complain. Also if you get a room on the backside of the building don't open your window as you will just get blowback from the semi trucks running all night. The internet is horrible!! slower then my 3g phone. Construction going on to the hotel which made it difficult to park our truck and trailer. The manager was a total jerk and came into the dining area in the morning during breakfast and reprimanded us for where we parked despite the front office guy saying it was ok when we checked in. Front office staff is unfriendly. Would not allow late check out despite a family emergency. I was told, "it was policy and that's the way the world works" even after my circumstances were explained. In all my years of travel I've never been treated like this. I suppose that's the way it works in Hermiston. In fact, I've never had a problem with late check out at any other hotel in the world. The reason I was told that I could not check out late without an extra nights charge (once I saw it on my bill and inquired) was that housekeeping staff was already gone for the day. The housekeepers were cleaning the same floor my room was on when I went to get our luggage. There was construction on site and was disturbing and the hallways smelled of smoke. All in all I would say this is a very poorly run hotel with management that looks to make $$ in the short term without much thought to future business. Additionally, charging an extra night without telling a customer prior to running a credit card is also suspect. Update: my wife and one of my children had what was likely a food borne illness about a day after eating at the breakfast area. I spoke with the general manager whose response was, "ok". I'll be filing a report with the local health department. So, fraudulent charges + not caring or even apologizing for an illness likely caused by their food provided. I would recommend against staying here ever. I received a call from a different manager of the company about an hour after my conversation with the general manager who refunded the unauthorized charges. The obtuseness of the general manager, Jackie, and her front desk staff was inexcusable. read more

Stayed here this past weekend. Large comfortable room, my girls loved the pool. Didn't take advantage of breakfast though as we got checked out to come back home. Had no problems using Wi-Fi on my phone. Staff was friendly. Only complaint would be there should be more towels in the rooms. 4 females in one room need at least 8 towels lol. read more

The entire hotel smells like cigarette smoke, the pool looks cloudy, the door to the pool is broken, the treadmill in the tiny workout room is missing a screw, and the bathroom reeked of urine. This establishment is somewhat newer than some of the other Hermiston motels and does offer breakfast, an indoor pool& jacuzzi, a fitness area and is right off I -84 which might be ok for freeway travelers. It's worth the extra miles to drive into hermiston for better accommodations though. The manager clearly doesn't like people and especially children and has been doing it too long to enjoy her job anymore. The staff was friendly and helpful but clearly walking on eggshells around her as they feared for their job. The pool was cold, the jacuzzi was warmer but not hot and there weren't any showers to rinse off so water was a little murky in both. The pool bathroom had not been serviced for who knows how long and the tampon machine's lock was broke. Even though my niece left the quarters in the pool area for the 3 tampons that were left in the machine, the mAnager blamed her and my daughter for "vandalizing it and stealing" her tampons and change from it. I believe it would have been 6$ in quarters she claims and the cost for a replacement machine 300$!! Either way, she called the police and wouldn't let anyone speak to them but her. We were 86ed from the property and charged for 2 nights after staying only 1. Glad to be gone from there anyway. So if you have children or are a female traveling alone don't recommend this motel. Travel the extra few miles to hermiston and stay at Oxford suites. read more

Always double check before checking out. Never leave anything behind because if you do, you won't get it back. The house keeper either steals it or they don't thoroughly check the rooms and put guests in them and then they get to go home with it. Worst service EVER! House keeping is awful. The rooms and everything else look WAY better in pictures. Truck stop in the back side of hotel. (All you hear at night) Pull out bed had no mattress, I had to go ask the front dest for 3 blankets so that I could lay them down under me just so I didn't feel the springs. No internet. They have wifi, but it's so slow it's unusable. Speed tests range up to 1.7m down. I paid the 9 bucks for 5m down. No speed increase using ookla. Called Matrix tech support, the tech on duty said I was indeed set for 5m down. Multiple tests and inability to download email in a reasonable time proved that was a lie. I asked tech on duty for a refund, or transfer me to the group for billing. Their automated system said to press 1 for billing and 2 for tech support. Tech said the hotel issues refund. I called front desk, they contacted the manager, the manager said they do not handle billing for the Internet. I called the 877 number for Matrix again, and pressed 1 for billing. WTF...I get the same "tech". I asked to speak to his manager, he said he was the only one there and I should call in the morning. I'm driving cross country, I don't have time for this crap. Avoid Matrix Internet at all costs and I'll avoid comfort inn just in case. If either comfort inn or matrix would like to respond, I have speed tests on multiple devices to support my claims. Refund would be nice, and advertising claims of wifi restated: Wifi, yes. Usable in any fashion, no. DO NOT buy the 5M package. read more
