Then today the pool was closed all day for maintenance. My kids were so excited to swim, so we had to pay to got to the aquatic center. THEN we go to wash our laundry and the washing machine isn't working. The front desk said it's been having problems. The solution is that we have to just keep trying and it will eventually work, BUT they don't reimburse with quarters so we have to go back to the gas station to get more quarters because our clothes are covered with soap.

Oh and coincidentally there is no manager on the weekends so not sure how any problems will be addressed if they arise. But hey thanks for paying all that money for not even half a day. Not much I can do with 3 sleeping kids and no one that can do anything since there isn't a manager available. What a great hotel! Also just found out this morning that Hannah lied about the price and it is not what she had said . Tried to talk to the new person at the front desk and got told oh well you can talk to the manager who will be in at 3 pm, really Hannah I thought there was no manager on the weekends? No pool and no breakfast but if you need a reasonably priced place to rest that is still clean and comfortable, this is it. Kellie, the GM called when we were about two hours outside of Hermiston. I had accidentally booked a handicap accessible room when using Orbitz. She was calling to see if that was a necessity and if there was anything else they could prepare for us if that was the case. We told her that we did not need an accessible room. She mentioned they'd had a crazy day and she worried our room would not be ready by 4pm. This was fine as we wouldn't arrive until after 5. No big deal. She decided to upgrade us to an extended stay room anyway, equipped with a fridge and range top. The room was nicer than I had anticipated. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. There are blackout curtains in the room that made for very peaceful sleep after a late night at the county fair. No streetlights leaking in. If your kids want to swim and if you need tiny boxes of cereal in the morning, this may not be the place for you. For me, I spent $50 less than what the other hotels charged and was treated to a great room with an incredible staff of people making sure all our needs were met. Thank you to Kellie and the team. Also, the staff were very nice. I could tell that they were kind and took pride in their jobs, however they had to know that the quality of the rooms were just so so. However, compared to the hotels in the area Econo Lodge seemed like a 5 star hotel. For a week stay it was okay as I was in and out, but longer than that and most of your time is there I would pass. The bathrooms need some serious TLC and if you are tall or even average size good luck closing the bathroom door. I would change this out for a barn door. The tub and sink just needs to be replaced--especially the tub. Also, the hot water takes a minute to come on no matter the time that you try to use it. I would take the drive and stay in Pasco. Minus three stars as the hotel needs some TLC, especially the bathrooms. Also, they need to add an elevator as there may not always be a first floor available for those with a physical disability or injury.
