Enough Is Enough. I'm standing up every immigrant woman treated like she's disposable. Especially someone like my Mother She gave years of hard work to Comfort Inn & Suites, and instead of respect, she was met with mistreatment, manipulation, and silence. The general manager, Ronnie Nelson, created a work environment that was unsafe, degrading, and abusive. Here's what happened: - She got hurt on the job and was accused of not showing up to her schedule shift, btw she was seeking medical attention. - Her schedule was tampered with to set her up for failure on multiple occasions - She was paid unfairly and pushed past her limits - She was emotionally targeted by someone with a personal grudge - When they fired, another worker she was physically shoved. There are deeper issues too--like inappropriate relationships in management that create fear, favoritism, and intimidation for vulnerable employees. It's toxic. And it's wrong. We've already taken this to Labor & Industries, but I'm not staying quiet. This is about more than one person. It's about how immigrant workers--especially women--are treated behind closed doors. If you care about dignity, safety, and justice: Please don't support Comfort Inn & Suites until change happens. This is personal. I'm not afraid to speak up. My mom deserves better--and so does every worker who's just trying to survive. Immigrant workers deserve safe workplaces, fair treatment, and respect. Please help stand up for what's right. We stayed here for two nights. I thought it was decent. Nothing spectacular. It was clean and quiet for the most part. We traveled with pets so it was a bit hectic. The staff were nice at check in. Other than that we had no interaction with them. The area is not the best. Homeless abound there. Some looked ok but others did not. I found used syringes, foil, and used condoms that I had to keep the dogs from nosing at. I would probably pick a new place next time. read more

As I was enjoying my 2 day vacation in Vancouver to visit my friends I decided to stay at the Comfort Inn. First night wasn't so bad, beds were comfy, room was fairly priced. However, the morning after I woke up and as I was walking from the bedroom I injured both my left and right ankles because of a safety hazard that has not been taken note of. There is a black metal strut that is sticking from the bottom of the bed about 5 inches. It is not easy to see unless you happen to look down or get hurt. In my case, I got really hurt and was bleeding in my both my legs. I think this sort of thing is unacceptable in any sort of hotel. Regardless if it's fair priced I care more about my safety than anything else and it seems clear comfort inn might not be so comfortable to stay in. Absolutely one of the worst experiences ever. Dirty dirty dirty from the hallways to the bedrooms there wasn't one place that needed extra attention. The room numbers were tapped to the doors with blue tape, other evacuation signs were simply leaning next to the wall on the floor. The toilet was absolutely disgusting. The lobby was the nicest place. The outside was as unkept with weeds and garbage as a recycling center. Stay clear...... no sense of pride. read more

Overall, this CI was pretty good. The room was large, I disliked the pillows, and the bed was great - no back ache! The internet signal was excellent. The bathroom floor was kind of sticky. The breakfast area was a bit disorganized, it was hard to find things. The price was right so you can't expect four seasons perfection. I definitely would stay here again. read more

Well... when we first showed up to check in the girl at the front desk informed us that we would have to wait about ten minutes to for her to help us because she needed to make coffee and clean the coffee bar area... and then help the other people that she also made sit and wait... a half hour later, we finally checked in... As she checked us in, she did not mention any of the housekeeping policies. So when we needed clean towels, we figured it was left over Covid era stuff and called the front desk. This is when the guy at the desk laughed because i asked to have some clean towells sent to my room and then very rudely informed me that we would have to come down and get them ourselves because they did not pay him to do that. And if I didn't like it, I could call back in 15 minutes and talk to the manager. So my wife went down to get the towells, after he lectured her about the housekeeping policy that no one told us at check in, he tried giving her 4 hand towels to use for showering, because that is all they have at the front desk. She had to argue with him to get him to give us some normal shower towells. Then i tried to call several times to speak to the manager, and they will not answer the phone at the front desk. If you feel like battling a bunch of self entitled employees that think think it is okay to be be rude to customers when they ask for basic amenities and a little Comfort, things that are normal at even the cheapest of hotels, then enjoy your stay.... i will probably never stay at this one again. The one by the mall doesn't make you feel like an inconvenience. read more

Not a planned stay, but ended up being great We sort of got trapped by a winter storm and didn't want to drive home 2.5 hours after a harrowing drive in to drop family off near PDX. All the hotels near the airport were booked, so we drove across the river and chose this Comfort Inn to stay at. The front desk guy was very nice and super helpful when we asked if they had availability and also set us up with a couple of complementary toothbrushes/paste as we didn't have that with us. The room was clean, quiet and just what was needed. In the morning we ate the breakfast provided. It's your typical complimentary breakfast. Not a restaurant and not too bad. It got us going. When we stepped outside, we were glad we stayed - it was a whopping 18 degrees at 8AM. Brrr! Chances are, we won't stay in Vancouver again overnight, but if we did, I think we'd seek this hotel out. read more

Non consensual biting - flea the scene Was in town for a country concert, so check in was a little bit crazy with a portion of the rooms not being ready and the hotel being sold out. We all lined up waited patiently (20-25 people) as the two desk ladies did their best but they were clearly unprepared for a sellout night like this. 35 minutes later I pay $231 and we get the key to our room. We start to relax and as I'm unpacking my suitcase in between the two beds I felt something on my legs. I brush it off and keep unpacking excited to go to the concert. At 3:50, I walk into the bathroom, and look down at my ankles and see all these tiny dark brown things. I honestly thought my self tanner was melting off due to it being like 95 degrees out. Unfortunately, they were bugs, biting all over my ankles. I brush them off, can't believe what I'm seeing, go back to where I'm standing and they refill on my legs. Go to the other side of the bed, they're there too. Ok cool. So I call the front desk and calmly ask them to come up and take a look. They sent Jordan who was nice but also terrified of the bugs. I showed him my ankles, both with the bites and the bugs, on my ankles. We together, guesstimate that they're flees, since I've never encountered them before this visit. He brings up a terrific point of how we should probably pack up our stuff as to not take any fleas home with us .. ok perfect I hadn't even thought of that. Great. Jordan takes a picture and goes down to talk to his manager or whoever is in charge. My friend and I pack back up our stuff and leave the room as we don't really want to hang out in there. About an hour later we get back from our walk and stop by the front desk, at which point she tells us she tried to call the room, but then she tells us our options. We can agree to 1. A bug bomb -in which we would have to pack up all of our things 2. A spray flea treatment 3. She can refund us and we can leave For some reason compensation wasn't even brought up- so I ask if we can get our money back if we agree to do a flea treatment. And she said yes, we can compensate you tomorrow when you check out. She didn't offer to change rooms, upgrade rooms, any apologies for not having any appropriate accommodations available. My friend and I understood the hotel was sold out as well as most other hotels in the area since there was the event in town. But still, it seemed like compensation would be given for us having to stay in the flea room with the risk of us and our stuff taking them home. The lady was very nice as she was spraying down our carpets with Spectracide. I get the bank notification on my phone while she's spraying that the charge for 231 has gone through, but I remind myself I'm getting compensation tomorrow for this scary bizarre experience. Then we played the floor is lava game and laid down towels to walk on and kept shoes on while we got ready for the concert. We left and had a great time, came back, walked on our towels, carefully got into our beds, went to sleep, but not easily. It's super hard to sleep with hen you have the flea feeling still on your legs. The next morning we packed and wanted to get out of there by 9 because the fleas were still staying with us, so no point in a leisurely morning. I go and talk to the front desk lady, who has been helping us this whole time. She says what she can offer me $30 back plus taxes. What $30 back for flea bites on my ankles and potentially taking them home with me ?! I ask if that the best she can do cause this is ridiculous af --and I've stayed calm this whole time until now She says that $50 is the best she can do, plus some $8 fee plus tax. So I'm writing this with some sort of flea rash on my ankles and in 7-10 business days I'm going to get $64 credit back on my debit card So this hotel is nothing to write home about... holes in the dirty walls, large stains in carpet, dirty lint filled drawers, the chair had been stabbed, the fridge was dirty, the pop up was broken in our sink ... whatever, I'm not asking for the world, you want to charge me $200 for that, that doesn't make sense but I can live with it. But $200 even $165 for a flea infestation ... just because you know every other place is sold out ??? Do better read more

I would like to start off by saying that the girl at the front desk was absolutely amazing. She definitely tried very hard to solve our issues, but it came down to this hotel not being clean enough for us. Check in was extremely easy, and the girl at the front desk made that a great experience. The room on the other hand was a completely different story. The first room that we were given smelt like smoke and onions. Upon further inspection we found that there was food trash from the last guest left in the room. There were stains on the sheets, and they were so old that they had a large amount of pilling to the point where it would be uncomfortable sleep on. We immediately asked for a new room and the girl at the front desk was very accommodating and apologized. I want to emphasize that she was NOT the problem. The next room that we were given was even worse than the first room. There were stains on the bedding which I pictured below. There were also smudges on the headboard, and brown stains all over the wall. Only one wall is pictured below, but stains were consistent throughout the entire room with a weird brown splatter on many of the walls. We immediately left and asked for a full refund, and the girl at the front desk was very understanding and gave us the refund without question. I believe that this has largely to do with how hard it is to get staff nowadays, but with the pandemic I did not feel comfortable staying here. I think that the majority of the hotel should be redone as it smells like smoke and is very musty. I also think that better lighting in the rooms would help a lot, because they are so dark that I felt like I was in a cave. I give high marks for my stay here at this property. The rates are competitive and include a full breakfast. From the entry to my leaving all was perfect. I was nicely greeted at the desk, the lobby was clean and comfortable, and decorated for the holidays. Our room was nice size, and clean. Bathroom well stocked. And to my surprise, and newly renovated full breakfast area. Nicest I have seen yet with out going to the massive properties the competition has. The selection was spot on. I would recommend this place to those on business in Portland or Vancouver areas. read more

This hotel has stained period blood that guests used to stop their blood flow. Bugs, condoms, hair and other objects were found in the beds with no sympathy from the front desk staff members. I have found globs of hair in the shower because it never been clean. The staff here are completely unprofessional. And the GM manger needs to be fired from his duties. If you want a better stay and good night sleep bed free stainless bed go to best western going cheap with this hotel is not always good . Because you might pay for things you never thought would be there use condoms in bed's and dirty dogs that been in the bed with sheets with dog hair , or her PewPew hair in the bed under the covers my recommendation would be going somewhere to Best Western instead of these local hotels are there cleanliness is not up to par. read more

I have worked for many high end hotels in all divisions of the hotels, including housekeeping. I am a detail person, and customers (especially now with pandemic) look for cleanliness the minute they walk through the door. Sadly disappointed by condition of room. Light switches were filthy, tub had some nasty substance in it from previous customer, lights did not work, smudge on window from someone having their sweaty forehead against it, blood stains on pillows, dust all over the hairdryer (sign of not being sanitized), tissue dispenser not changed, and as we were packing up this morning I flushed the toilet and the plastic tank lever snapped off. On a brighter note Destiny behind the front desk was friendly, helpful and working her butt off. She came down herself to clean the tub so we could use it. WTF Comfort Inn! You don't conduct maintenance during a guest stay, especially when the guest gets in at 5:00am from working the day before and requested from the front desk not to be bothered or disturbed until 4:00pm so the guest CAN SLEEP! Can I come to your home and knock loudly on your door at 4:00am in the morning and interrupt your sleep so I can borrow your vacuum! I am highly irritated and disappointed in the management and staff at this location. You ignored my request and decided to knock anyways - loudly on my door just to take measurements for curtains - can you read, WHEN IT CLEARLY SAYS DO NOT DISTURB!!! What degenerate school did your staff graduate from? Did your parents ever teach you to respect their request when they told you NOT to bother them! I didn't realize I was staying at a one star, low rated - ghetto hotel. You must have just graduated from Walmart or the Community Care Center with a certificate that read, "if you have a pulse, we will hire you!" I will start making my reservations elsewhere. I will post this experience everywhere on social media. You have a lot to learn about the service industry. I would start by looking up the word "Comfort." Learn and apply the meaning and definition and then go back to customer service school and learn the meaning and definition of the word "service" and begin coaching your staff on how to follow instructions and requests by the customer. The Hotel took no accountability or responsibility for interrupting my sleep. Taking measurements of the curtains was more important according to the GM, Ronnie Nelson. This place is fine. The only thing that was slightly weird is that the front desk is often empty with a sign that says "be back." But other than that the room is fine. The gym is tiny though. But the best part is the complimentary breakfast--hot food which includes eggs and bacon, waffles, and lots of variety. Wasn't the best hotel, bed and pillows weren't that comfortable - overall it's not very new. The water on the hottest setting ran cold and then got to barely lukewarm. Called the front desk and they advised us to turn the cold water on in the bathroom sink, and at the same time turn to the hottest setting in the shower, that didn't help much. The staff were kind enough to come up and take a look but it still didn't help, had to shower in coldish water. This is definitely not my first choice for a hotel in Vancouver downtown, for the price you can find a way better hotel. read more

Here for 2 nights. Even before logging on I thought about how many stars would be right, and both my wife and I thought 3. Which is of course is the average. The lobby is small but fine. It was hot though. Even though I saw a mini split AC. The bellhop guy was extremely nice, very positive. Elevator is small..even has a sign '5 person max'. I'll take the stairs. Our room was on the 5th floor (yeah, that was fun) and the room was sloping. Bathroom looked a bit older. All this is to pay over $300 a night. It was a busy weekend in Vancouver with the pride parade and the big fireworks so I'm sure that contributed. For breakfast for $10 a person (kids eat free) you can eat at the Irish pub next door which was 'good enough' for $5 a person ($20 for 2 adult with 2 kids eating free). read more

I honestly don't get the bad reviews. Maybe some of the rooms are older? Our room was recently renovated- comparable to much nicer/ more expensive hotels. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The rooms are quiet. Someone was being loud in the hallway, and I was surprised that I couldn't hear them at all from inside my room. The room is pretty small without much drawer or closet space. We had to move the desk to fit a twin size roll-away bed. The breakfast area is tiny, so I'm sure it's not something worth eating. I didn't bother looking because I hate hotel breakfasts. The hallways had box fans, and it seemed necessary for ventilation. The elevator needs a remodel. The thing is, this hotel is far cheaper than anything else around. I'm glad it's clean, comfortable, and safe. The area is really cute with quick, easy access to Portland. I wouldn't have stayed here if I read the yelp reviews first, but I was pleasantly surprised. read more

the elevator was tiny and claustrophobic. room was also small and the pretty scruffy around the edges. the pool was outside, in a poor state of repair and generally too cold to stick more than a toe in. on the plus side there was a decent breakfast buffet with hard-boiled eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, pastries, juice, coffee and a nice selection of bread, bagels and english muffins to toast. as soon as we arrived, five-year old son, WYATT, took a quick recon of our room, got one look at the toilet paper dispenser with two rolls stacked on top of each other and proclaimed that this was gonna be the best vacation ever !!! maybe i should work a little harder appreciating the little things ... read more

When we came into our room, it was freezing! We noticed the window was open. No big deal. As we walked over to shut it, we stepped on a metal sheet and screws on the floor. Not sure what they were, we just knew they didn't belong there... Later in the evening, I noticed that the glass I had grabbed had a crack and chip in it. Last but not last, the peephole on our door was just a hole, no actual peephole. Looks like it got knocked out somehow and nobody bothered to replace it. My experience with Cynthia, general manager was far from hospitable. When in need of a last minute reservation, I was misguided by another hotel receptionist. That sweet receptionist was kind enough to help me. A guest in need of a room. However, she misdirected me to Comfort Inn and Suites downtown. Instead, I took an Uber to Comfort Suites near mall. Conveniently located in the same neighborhood. Upon arrival, I was told by the GM of the Mall property that mine is a common mistake, and when this happens, the guest at her property is not charged. Cynthia explained that the policy for the downtown property is inflexible. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she became agitated, raised her voice and gave me an attitude. On top of being charged a night! That's the POLICY! No exceptions. If this is any indication of how a guest is treated by the general manager, I will steer clear of this property! The hotel wasn't too bad. If you're looking for affordable and clean, this is your place. We found a priceline deal for this hotel. I think it was about $70ish including tax. When we got to the parking lot around 11 p.m., there were about 20 teenagers standing out in the parking lot in a circle. It was kind of disconcerting. Anyways, we drove passed them and suddenly, this group disburses and where the kids run in various directions. It was really interesting to see. We thought that our car passing had caused this sudden drastic movement, however we turned around and saw a cop's car pull in. Then, when we were bringing in our luggage, the kids litter an tossed a cup out their car door. Not the best way to have a good impression of the environment you are in. lol. We were nervous about the safety since that had happened within the first minute upon arriving at the hotel. When we asked what was going on, the front desk person kindly told us that this type of suspicious behavior had never occurred before in the 3 years of her working there. She also showed us that they had security cameras and a security guard that patrols in the area. Also, the front doors are locked, making the hotel even safer. Our room was comfortable and spacious. I thought it was fairly clean. The best part of the room was that their tv was really nice and they had the food network channel! We watched Chopped right before going to sleep. The bed was really comfortable and we slept and slept. The breakfast is not bad though their definition of "hot breakfast" is warm eggs and sausages. They had bagels and muffins too. The orange juice was like it came from the concentrate so it was super sweet. Not bad for a $70 per night hotel. It is a little out of the city center though. read more

Fantastic breakfast, compared to our first hotel bananas, orange juice, bagels and all the fixings for a breakfast sandwich. Coffee was available all day and tasty. Good attitude from the front desk for all shifts. On our last night my roomy had heartburn really bad and needed some milk, they actually got it from the kitchen and brought it to us, she got 3 cups of milk, which did the trick. We had a problem with ants when we first got there, they moved us right away to another room. Location was great. Room was clean. All staff we dealt with KNEW what customer service is. Very clean. Very quiet. And the best part is that the beds and the bedding were amazing. Have not slept that good in a long time. There wasn't anything exceptional or anything terrible about this hotel. I was here for one night during the snow storm and was satisfied with my stay. The total price came out to $105 for one night, which was a little more than I would want to pay for this hotel, but I did appreciate that they served free breakfast including eggs, sausages and waffles. I would stay here again if I absolutely needed to, but I would probably look to stay at other places first. read more

Here on business for a night. I travel by car throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Canada. For the past 3 years, I've stayed overnight in Choice family of hotels 50+ days a year on average because that's what employer selects. This is only the second time that I've stayed at this location. Not the best but definitely not the worst I've stayed in. I wouldn't have had anything negative to say here if I hadn't been startled by a spider that ran up the comforter and on to my face when I was relaxing in bed. Upon further examination I found 4 more spiders at the floor by the headboards. Not dangerous spiders but still. Also found an old room key, flossing toothpick, old plastic bottle cap and clumps of hair/dust bunnies. Other than that, not bad. My employer pays so not complaining too much because I only stayed for the night. read more
