My wife and I stayed here for one night while in town for a wedding. The facility is beautiful and has much to offer, along with a few minor drawbacks. It is situated on the Columbia River so many of the rooms have partial or full river views. On a beautiful spring day, that's hard to beat. Our guest room was nicely appointed with a king bed, sleeper sofa, work station, huge TV, coffee and tea service, a small fridge with bottled water and glasses, iron and board, and in-room safe. The bathroom had the usual amenities along with the choice of a shower wand or overhead rain shower. Staff was helpful and attentive, from the desk clerk who checked us in to the server at the lounge to the desk attendant who rang up our purchases from the pantry off the lobby. The drawbacks, at present, include that the restaurant is closed for renovation. Guests can order from the menu of small plates and dine at tables that have been moved into the bar area, but it lacks the ambience of a proper stand-alone restaurant. As to the "bar" side, they have a list of specialty cocktails, including a "Signature Gin & Tonic" made with Hendrick's gin, a thin slice of cucumber cut lengthwise and wrapped inside the glass, and a star anise for an additional layer of flavor. Another drawback, in my estimation, is the nightly charge of $35 for parking. I heard one guest talking about using street parking, which is free overnight, rather than pay what he saw as an over-the-top charge. Given the hotel's nightly room rates, I understand his point. A third drawback is something that is all too common in hotels: curtains that do not close all the way and let the morning light come streaming in much too early. Unfortunately, the curtain is a single panel that runs from wall to wall, so guests don't have the option of using a binder clip to keep two halves together as at many hotels. The AC Vancouver Waterfront is within easy walking distance of Waterfront Way with its eclectic collection of restaurants, shops, stores, breweries and wine tasting rooms. There are also other hotels nearby, including the Hotel Indigo, which boasts an indoor-outdoor rooftop lounge that our son recommended. All told, a very positive experience we would not hesitate to repeat.

I wanted to love it here. It's on the waterfront. It's close to Portland. Everyone was friendly. The restaurant was good. Bar staff was good. One bartender in particular was super friendly. She shared a lot of information. I don't know her name, but if someone from the hotel reads this, she had a lot of tattoos. One was of a cat and moon knight the back of her arm. Loved her. I wanted to love our room. I got the suite because it's our honeymoon. Having a balcony was great. We went out on it quite a bit. The shower was terrible. No space. I'm not a huge person but I could move without touching my naked body against a cold shower curtain. Room did not have a microwave. Maybe not important for some, but we would've like it. No closet. The automatic black out curtains sometimes worked. Sometimes didn't. Upon check in the very friendly desk clerk said there was room service, so on our last night, being very tired we opted for room service. We called the front desk, because there was no literature in the room telling you how to access services. We even pulled up the menu on our phones. We weren't told that you access all info from the tv. Front desk transferred us to room service. We got a voicemail. So we went downstairs to order. We were told we could wait there or come back down to get the food. It wasn't even brought up to us. But hey, you can find a bible and book of mormon in your room. Yay.

The hotel rooms are pretty basic, and the housekeeping was lacking in terms of bed service. They did bring fresh towels and took out the trash, but my sheets weren't changed, and the floors didn't get cleaned. The restaurant does offer room service, but everything comes in to-go containers, and the staff was laid back. The highlight of my stay was definitely the food--it was absolutely amazing! My favorite was the shrimp toast; I ended up having it twice during my stay. The sausage stuffed shells were also tasty, although I expected more chunks of sausage in it. Instead, the sausage was blended with the cheese inside the shell, but it was still delicious. They have a great selection of wine too! I would totally stay here again just for the food, even though the hotel rooms are quite simple and nothing special.

Chicken and steak skewers with lithe best brussel sprouts ever!!!

We came to check out the happy hour that I heard so much about. Sat down at the bar and Olivia said she would be right with us once she got down jotting down what supplies the am shift was gonna need the next morning. We were kind of ready to place a drink order but we waited. Then another waitress came by and asked if we were being helped yet. We said yes as soon she gets done jotting down looking thru the shelves on what the am shift is going to need. That lady was nice enough to give us some menus. I saw our waitress so the same thing to the two next couples who came to the bar to eat or drink. She told the first couple as they were wanting to order that she had to run across the way to kitchen to get something. The other couple she said she would be right back and went over to the dining room are to talk with her coworkers. She needs to pay more attention to her customers if you ask me. Jot down what the AM shifts supplies they're going to need later like when you don't have customers? Just saying. We got the chicken skewer, the steak skewer and the brussel sprouts. Wow, the food sure made up for the service. The brussel sprouts were amazing. They had hot honey, pistachios and red peppers on them. Best we have had ever!!! The chick skewers were delicious and they came with some pickled celery, jalepenos, red peppers and very garlicky hummus. So good. The steak skewers were tasty had been marinated in some kind of sauce which was delicious. I really like the blue cheese they sprinkle on top of the steak. I was surprised they came with fries which was nice. But unfortunately the fries were cold. I would definitely one back for the food. You can tell the chefs out a lot of heart into serving their food.

Beautiful, clean, and modern hotel located right on the waterfront. Walking distance from multiple restaurants and dessert shops, the farmers market on the weekend, and a paved trail along the water. Pros: + Walk-in shower + Floor to ceiling windows + Light and bright rooms + Parking garage on floor 2 ($25/night) Cons: - N/A I stayed here for a brief one night work trip. Absolutely loved it. Beautiful artwork in the lobby leading to the elevators. Would stay again.

This was a solo trip staycation! Absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The views from the corner suite were incredible I didn't want to leave! The staff were friendly and welcoming!

Very nice hotel at the trendy Vancouver WA waterfront. Excellent restaurant in a hotel with a full bar. We hear that the hotel is going to promote the restaurant to attract more people, not just guests staying overnight. We had breakfast a la carte twice and dinner once, and every time the expensive was very nice. Unfortunately the buffet breakfast was not available due to the Christmas holiday. We had the buffet breakfast at another AC hote, in another country and it had sufficient selection. Notable staff: Olivia in the restaurant and Becky at the bar, both have friendly personalities and are very knowledgeable about the food and beverage program at the hotel. Noise level: the PDX airport is near and I could hear planes overhead. This may be a problem for light sleepers. Currently in December 2023, it has been open for year and half and there is still construction around. This did not pose any problem. Overall, we plan to stay here again on our next visit to the area.

Our stay was amazing thanks to Katie and the staff! They truly made our anniversary memorable! From the beautiful room with an amazing view to the treats and friendly vibes, this is our new go-to spot in Vancouver! Easy access to the paid parking garage, nice breakfast bar, lounge, and conveniently located near all the fun places on the Waterfront. There was a disturbance with a gentleman on some sort of drugs outside the hotel entrance, and it was law enforcement arrived quickly to manage the situation. Sigh...due to the homeless/drug crisis our state (WA and OR) has been facing. We weren't concerned for our safety, and the staff made sure to follow up.

Decided to pop downtown Vancouver for a little Friday night date night. Surprise by the live music that provided a fun ambiance that I heard was here every Friday night! Food menu offers lots of great and VERY reasonably priced items. The pizza was killer, and the Chicken Harissa appetizer was a great dinner option as well. Well worth the visit!

Beautiful new restaurant lounge on the waterfront in downtown Vancouver. I was impressed with the modern design and openness of the bar area. We sat at the bar Marissa was our bartender she was fun and knowledgeable. I ordered their signature Gin & Tonic and my husband ordered Smoked Manhattan. The Gin & Tonic was served in a large goblet with Hendricks Gin, Fever Tree Tonic and fresh cucumber. It was very large and delicious. For eats we ordered a Waterfront Burger and Ricotta Toast with a spicy meatballs. Both were incredibly delicious. The burger was cooked as requested. The bacon was cooked perfectly atop a juicy and flavorful burger patty. The big winner was the ricotta toast with spicy meatballs for $10. Everything about this dish is a win win. Perfectly toasted French bread with ricotta cheese topped with two savory meatballs and Italian style sauce. DELICIOUS!!! They have a beautiful outside area with plenty of seating and gas fire tables. Compared to all the other restaurants on the waterfront this is a hidden gem.

Fantastic Gym, next level breakfast, very attentive staff, amazing view to the river and great shower. New hotel. Gym: very clean and attended. Has a kickboxing heavy bag, multiple cables machine with pull-ups and dips stations, all treadmills, bikes, elliptical and stair master machines are new and feel very comfortable. The stair master even has a fan grid. Great Rowing machine and clean/organized dumbbells area. Water machine and towels are well served and full. Breakfast: great buffet selection with charcuterie meats like prosciutto, turkey, roast beef, ham, salami ,manchego cheese and soft cheese. Super fresh crunchy corssaints with Nutella and other flavor jams. Mango/chia/coconuts cups, juices and fruits. The menu for service was very good as well I had the scrambled eggs, arugula and prosciutto toast four days and the waffle Nutella/fruits and I was very happy. I have to point out that my company paid for it so my review is in the quality of the food, impression and service. It felt expensive. Rooms: big, comfortable, new and amazing river-sea view with mountains behind. What I liked the most was the bathroom as it had a big, illuminated shower with strong pressure and fast draining system. As a person that travels all the time I deal with a lot of hotels showers that are slow to drain and this one was very nice. So nice that every single day I I took long showers and even washed my under wears and socks with the big bottles of shampoo. The shower has the faucet across opposite wall of the shower height adjustable telephone head which I found very convenient. And inside double towel holding inside. Which I used to hand the clothes once washed. Never have I hand washed my socks before in a hotel. Big screen tv and smart compact fridge that honestly I didn't even get to use because I was lazy and didn't know what bottoms to press. Staff: the week I was there I interacted with about 8-9 people and they were all supper friendly and helpful. Only bad experience was one night the bar tender wanted to charge 6 beers to my friends when they only had 3. When confronted with it they still paid 4. That was very akward and unfortunate. I was just drinking water and very sober and know they only got 3 beers. In the other hand, the day I arrived the front lady gave me a voucher for a drink while they got my room ready and since I don't drink I asked if I could trade it for a Häagen-Dazs & D ice cream from their mini market and they pleasantly did. Location: the hotel is located in the water bank which has lots of new nice places to just walk in and eat. I have eaten in all of them and find them to be touristy but with good ambience and view. If you want good food go the opposite side 3 blocks away and you will have The Smokin Oak Pit. This place is amazing and I ate there the last 3 days. Brisket and Cow ribs are insanely delicious.

Had the unfortunate experience of staying the night here in October. Got a room with a nice view and the amenities looked nice. Due to a late check in and early morning for conference it wasn't until my second (and final night) that I noticed the infestation. After talking with the front desk it was made to believe that this is a normal expectation for a room near the water. Also that they "easily get in through the ventilation system". Since checking out I did get followed up by the general manager to get clarification and he also offered some Marriott bonvoy points. Sure, I'm already checked out and and it's better than nothing. Except, I haven't received anything, so it's not better. :/ Overall, spend your money elsewhere until they call pest control.

    Waterfront Burger at AC Lounge
    Ryan P.

This review is for the AC Lounge dining experience. Ok! First off, the ambience here is on point. My wife and I went out for our first date night in ages and got all dressed up and this place was just perfect. I got the Frites and Prosciutto and my wife got the Waterfront Burger. Oh my gosh, you guys. Those fries were hot and the perfect amount of crispy. The prosciutto was also crispy (without being overdone) and the Garlic Aioli was highly addictive. If I'm being honest, I'm kind of a ranch snob when I go out to eat (most places do not have ranch I'd recommend), but the AC Lounge has a ranch that's served cool, and has a great blend of that buttermilk and dill flavor that complimented the frites perfectly. The burger! Oh man. My wife worked in restaurants for almost twenty years, and she said the Waterfront Burger here is easily in her top 3 restaurant burgers she's ever had. (I couldn't eat it, otherwise I'd have totally stolen a bite.) The staff is fun, the service was quick, and the live music was great! (River Twain was playing that night and they were awesome.) Overall, I had a really good experience here and am very much looking forward to returning.

We were expecting the same comfortable feeling as our last visit. The room was now very modern, almost cold feeling. Don't get me wrong, the room was comfortable except a high back chair was no longer in the room, a modern "L" shaped sofa bed with a low back was in the living room. The room lacked any of the character we have come to expect. I commented to staff whom I met on our last stay, and they privately agreed. There was no longer a table in the suite. Instead there was a "waterfall" bar height "table." The suite was as shown in the photos with the fireplace having been removed during the remodel. The breakfast buffet was above average with different offerings every morning to go along with the eggs. The breakfast area still had the lodge feeling that we have come to expect. It was clean and very comfortable. Coffee was strong and hot, so I was happy. The property was well maintained, except the garbage outside of our room was not emptied in the four days/three nights we were there. The room did not meet our expectations as they were based on our last stay. Things change, I understand that. Had the room been ready on time and the garbage been emptied from immediately outside of our room this would have been a much better review.

What was most disappointing was the lack of flexibility or guidance. No alternatives were offered, and there didn't seem to be much concern for the realities of air travel. For a property that presumably serves many business travelers, the response felt far from traveler-friendly. Based on this experience, I won't be booking this location again and would recommend choosing a property that better understands the unpredictability of airline travel.

The Good The hotel is located in the newish Vancouver (WA) waterfront west of I-5 bridge. Hotel has a valet ($$$$) but there is plenty of metered street parking nearby and a newly built parking garage one block away. The hotel itself is new, smells good, fireplace in lobby, and well-appointed throughout. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and my check-in was quick. Free wine tasting in lobby and drink coupons for restaurants (more on these later). The rooms are well appointed and clean with comfortable beds, large TV, and even a bedside sound machine and earplugs (hmmm, more on that later). Nespresso machine, bottled water, small fridge, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion in bathroom. The hotel is designed with a large atrium in the middle with all room facing inward. This includes a large space on Floor 2 where all floors look down on and includes comfortable seating areas, communal desks with plugs, etc. However on both of my visits this space was either unavailable or overrun by event groups. For dining, the 13 Coins restaurant ($$ pub), El Gaucho ($$$$ steak), top floor bar ($$$), and coffee shop ($) are connected to hotel. And within two blocks are at least 10 restaurants. Room service is also available. Needs Improvement Hotel fees. Although I didn't notice on my first visit, the hotel's taxes and fees are high, most notably a sneaky daily $29 called "Destination Fee." Or as I call it "the Spirit Airlines approach." Can't you just build into the room price? I didn't see this when I booked but guessing there's some fine print somewhere. It also explains the "complimentary" drink coupons at check-in. So here's how my $423.30/night broke out, $354.35 Accommodation $23.03 State Sales Tax (6.5%) $8.15 City Tax (2.3%) $7.09 County Lodging Tax (2%) $2.00 Tourism Fee $29.00 Destination Fee Hotel noise. The hotel has both outside and inside noise. Outside it's cars, motorcycles, tugboats, and people up and down the main street out front and river. Cue the earplugs and sound machine. Higher floors facing the river are better. Weekdays - and I experienced this on both visits - it's the convention they are hosting. And they host a lot of groups. People gather in the main atrium space where all rooms are exposed. My room was on the second floor where I had people gathered 15 ft from my door chatting early in the morning and socializing into the evening. I recommend avoiding floor 2 and going with floor 4+. Space availability. On both visits the atrium space was reserved to groups and unusable to guests. So for portions of my visit I had to stay in my room to work and relax vs use the space as advertised when I booked. Call ahead to find out what groups may be booked. All in all, I had pleasant stays and would return at $199/night or midweek to avoid noise. But I can't justify $400+ again.

Though Residence Inn's are for long term stays, we like staying one night because the rooms are bigger and have a full kitchen. Check in was different both times. On my first visit, the front desk clerk didn't say much. They did their job. No small talk. During the second visit, the front desk clerk was more talkative, and did his job. Both times we were given a nice room. The rooms here are your normal Residence Inn rooms with kitchen, bedroom and a living area. Bathroom is standard with shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion from North 39 degrees. The bed was comfortable enough to give me a good nights sleep to drive 400 miles the next day. The gym is adequate with treadmills, ellipticals and weights. It was enough to give me a good workout. It's a good hotel. For some reason, my wife likes it. We probably will be back.

He is now rethinking whether or not he wants to use Hilton anymore. They are typically excellent and welcoming. This stay was absolutely horrible. I only slept in the bed once for 5 hours. The rest of the time I only showered, changed clothes and laid down for an hour or two. My mother was at Peace Hospital and dying. I rarely was even in my room which was a good thing. It was extremely loud, dusty and not user friendly. The bar was closed as well as any dining options. The "breakfast" was not good. Hilton usually has good food. This was nasty. I didn't want to chance it and didn't eat. I later found out that being a diamond member meant absolutely nothing to these people. They acted like they were doing the customers a favor by "letting" them stay in this hotel. I tried to buy an OJ at the front desk and the disheveled male didn't have a clue how to do this. I told him to forget it and I would go elsewhere once I changed clothes. The staff with the exception of Renee were not helpful. She was professional, emphatic and efficient. Unfortunately, she worked day shift. I came back to the hotel at 4 am and my key once again did not work. The front desk person was a disheveled male who was asleep at the front desk. I had to bang on the window and wake him up in order to get in to the hotel. He was extremely rude. I think that he was actually a maintenance worker. The next day, once again my key didn't work and this time a housekeeper was in the hallway and opened the room for me and offered to go and get me a new key. She did this and I sincerely did appreciate it. However, that night the girls soccer team stayed there and were running up and down the hallways and the noise level went up again. It wasn't the girls fault. The hotel is under renovation and should be closed until completed. They are developing a horrible reputation in the community. If I had read the Google and Yelp reviews prior to booking the reservation, we would have never booked that hotel. I was there for 4 nights and 5 days. Never once did housekeeping clean my room even though I asked at the front desk. I was told later that because they are renovating, they are short staffed and don't have to clean the rooms. Unbelievable. And to make matters worse, they ended up telling me if I wanted to extend my stay I would have to move to a different floor. My mother was dying and the last thing that I wanted to do was switch rooms. Therefore, I decided to check out and move to a different hotel. Because of the horrible experience that I had there: keys not working (had to be replaced 3 times during my stay), getting locked out of the hotel, internet not working, no room housekeeping services, rude unhelpful staff and a leaky shower that when I tried to sleep it never stopped even though I did inform the front desk that it was an issue and the fact that even though we called to complain, we were told that we would get a refund within 3 days. This didn't happen so we called again. We were informed that Jessica the onsite manager denied the refund and stated that there were no issues. I would never stay there again. The fact that they are renovating and short staffed along with NO amenities is unfortunate. However, due to their bad behavior, I will NEVER stay there again and am now reconsidering whether or not to stay at anymore Hilton properties as there are definitely other options available. They may have stolen/robbed me of the money that I paid for the room. But, in the long run, I am going to tell everyone that I know to avoid any Hilton properties in Vancouver, Washington.

Abby, the lady at the front desk stated he could check in early if he left a review. The gentleman did not know how so Abby took his phone and proceeded to make a review with his phone. When I got to the counter she informed me my room was ready and I needed to make a review to check in early (check in is at 4 and it was a little after 2). I said fine and she took my license, debit card and wrote me out a parking pass. She then asked to see the review. I stated I would do it in my room so I could leave a review on the room. She then looked at me and said my room was no longer ready. Abby said I could come back at 4. When I asked how it was ready a minute ago when she took my personal info and gave me a parking pass she simple said condescendingly that housekeeping needs to look at it. She told me I could wait in the lobby if I wanted too. After waiting 45 min I asked her if I could get checked in now and she dismissively said no and walked away. Needless to say I won't be staying here. I went down the road to Hilton and they are AMAZING! So welcoming, kind and professional. They got me a room right away and because of my horrible experience at Comfort they gave me some freebies. That is what hospitality is all about. If you are thinking of staying here DON'T!
