We were traveling drove for 12 hours. So we decided to get rooms here. We walked in and rented two rooms. One of the rooms was wide open and a man was leaving tge room as we walked up. The door didn't really lock. The beds were filthy with hair and stains. They had bed bugs and roaches. No way we were staying there. I didn't even let my kids out of the car we went and asked to be refunded they said sure it would take a few days. I ended up calling my bank because they charged my card 3 separate times 400$ I got the money back that was over a month ago. I'm laying here trying to go to bed and my phone alerts they are trying to get $ 50 .. this is wrong. How do they get away with this. The owner pretends he doesn't understand English and everyone else we spoke with is RUDE!! It's not letting me attach all pictures

Is it the worst place to stay, no. Is it great, also, no. I would say this is trying to be an average hotel, but it is failing. Used to be an Econo Lodge, but i guess they were bought by Quality Inn. Well, this place is certainly not quality. Its like someone bought a decent hotel, and then ran out of money. Its falling apart. Smelled pretty bad in the hallway, and worse in the rooms. Booked two rooms for my wife and kids. They were equally bad. Do not recommend for families.

I brought Clorox wipes to give our room an extra once over because of covid. Photo after wiping down the counter around the bathroom sink.

This hotel is disgusting. You get what you pay for. The woman working the front desk was wearing sweat pants, a tank top, slippers, and no mask. She looked like she literally rolled out of bed. The lobby bathroom was dirty and had no toilet paper. Upon exiting the elevator on the 3rd floor to our room my children and I were not only greeted with the smell of cigarettes, but also marijuana. There was clothes and shoes in random corners of the hotel hallways. I believe people live there full time. I brought Clorox wipes along to give the surfaces in our room an extra clean because of covid. See photo - the room was filthy. I have no idea what was in between the beds behind the dresser... a mix of chewed finger nails, food, and something green. I spoke to the front desk about the marijuana. She said she would call the police. Needless to say - we left! They will not refund us. Lesson learned.

Maroon firebird that was doing burnouts out back and to the right where the partying was going on.

No elevator but I like it! Breakfast was nice. The hair dryer in our room caught on fire but very clean and family oriented. Good prices too

I am highly disappointed by the quality and condition of this Fairfield, and expect more from…read moreMarriott properties. We have never stayed at a Fairfield that was in this much need of a renovation. The hotel looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 80s, and is tired. The furniture inside the rooms are old, there are no USB ports, a small TV, and a bathroom in bad condition. The bathroom itself had grime in the crevices of the floor and had blood stains in the crevices of the bath tub. The shower curtain doesn't even cover the entire length of the shower, and water temperature is inconsistent. Sometimes it's lukewarm at the hottest setting, but suddenly it gets up to a burning capable temperature. There was a damp washcloth hanging on the shower curtain when we walked into our room, which should have been picked up by housekeeping. This made us wonder if our room was thoroughly cleaned or not. The beds are as hard as a rock and pillows are so flat that you need three of them to make the size of one pillow. The whole bottom floor smells like microwaved food even at night AND in the morning. The staff are kind and informative, which is needed at a hotel but is no excuse for the condition of this Fairfield. This hotel just needs to be demolished and a new, fresher, and modern one needs to be built.

Room was clean with enough room for us and our dog. Shower had good water pressure. The breakfast was excellent. Every employee we encountered was helpful and pleasant. Bathroom sink was not draining and maintenance showed up within the hour after I reported the issue to the front desk. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

One of the more successful iterations of the tiny-accommodations communities I've seen. (One note…read moreis their website calls these Charlotte-Raleigh for the area. It does note that each of those cities is about an hour and a half away. I cannot imagine why you would consider staying here if you were doing anything in either of those two cities. These seem to me much more suited to the nearby NC Zoo or one of the natural areas in the region.) I appreciate that everything is on one level (no sleeping in a loft where you crack your head sitting up in bed) and that the bathroom is surprisingly large, particularly the shower. There is a single sink, so kitchen and bathing uses are combined into one facility. I guess one of the casualties of this design is any comfortable seating space to read, etc. There are two wooden chairs at the small desk/table, but the only suitable place to read indoors would be the bed (which has a firm but comfortable mattress). The outdoor space is nice provided the weather cooperates. Other cabins are close enough that you can probably hear incidental noise, but people are far enough away that you should get peace and quiet unless people in a neighboring unit get out of control. There's a peaceful pond with a path around most of it. Having walked the compound, I think it would be worth it to pay the nominal extra amount for one of the "view" cabins that would overlook the pond. The zoo is very close by, and downtown Asheboro is about 10 minutes away.
