    No washcloths, 1 hand towel
    Richard S.

This it the most expensive hotel in Asheboro!! I was supposed to stay 2-3 nights. I left after just a few hours. ThIs is the worst Hilton/Hampton experience I have ever had. STAY AWAY!!! No washcloths 1 hand towel No toilet paper No hand towels No soap No cups at all, water coffee, bathroom No pen and paper No tissue No lotion / shampoo Mold in the bathroom! No privacy door hanger Just fruit and yogurt for breakfast. Guest computer down. When I arrived at midnight, after a long day of traveling, and found NO AMENITIES. I called the front desk to make sure I wasn't charged for some of the missing items, the front desk lady was rude and dismissive. I slept 5 hours and got out as soon as I could!!

Hairs in tub that we did not use. Gross.

There was an unexpected but fully refundable $10 charge upon check in that wasn't disclosed ahead of time. That was irritating after prepaying in full and 12 hours on the road. Also pool is closed. Pool was why we chose this hotel so that was disappointing. The response from the hotel was that it's posted on their website so even though I was on the road and booked through Expedia, that was my bad I guess. The staff is lovely and very friendly. The elevator we used smells like cigarettes. The tub had hairs in it so that was gross. Beds were comfortable. Pillows were just ok. It's an ok place. Hampton Inns are usually better than this. Such a disappointment and loss of faith in the name for us.

This hotel gets people in the door by its proximity to the zoo, and that alone. Certainly not from its cleanliness, updatedness, friendliness, or by taking the COVID pandemic seriously. This place is the worst Hilton property I've EVER stayed at and I'm a diamond rewards member. Neither the check-in lady or the manager were wearing masks despite signs everywhere asking its customers to do so. And NONE of the cleaning staff were wearing masks. Take a look at my photographs to see the stains, damage, and uncleanliness in my one room alone. When I checked in there was no coffee cup. There was a single roll of toilet paper with 2/3rds already gone. Honestly, I was relieved to not find bed bugs. At one point I was trying to make my way down the hallway and two cleaning ladies were chatting with their carts blocking the entire hall. I waited for about 20 seconds standing there before asking to be allowed to go past. They rolled their eyes and then laughed at me once I was passed. The whole culture from the manager to the cleaners is one of disrespect and lack of concern for their job. Even if you are a Hilton rewards member, if you are coming to the area to visit the NC Zoo, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Caught three cleaning staff coming out if our room, not a SINGLE ONE was wearing a mask. Front desk was hostile, incompetent, and rude. We left. They are NOT taking this pandemic seriously.

i am very disappointed in this hotel. as soon as i walked in i had to use the bathroom because i had taco bell on the way to the hotel, when i walked into the bathroom i saw a gorilla in my shower... i've never been so confused in my life.

This was one of my worst hotel experiences. We love Hampton but this particular one in Asheboro, NC was awful. Paid in advance, drove 13 hrs with 2 children, called earlier in the day to let them know we would be a late check in and was told that was no problem, in a city I had never been to before. Arrived 15 minutes before midnight. Receptionist said they didn't have our room ready but was giving us a room identical. Went to that room and the door was open, trash in trash cans, dirty linens on the couch, counter tops with trash. Went back to the receptionist, told us that was house cleanings fault. She then told us they had no available rooms. We sat there for awhile just trying to figure out where we going to go. Other customers who had paid were coming in and she was turning them away it's reimbursements. All rooms in area were booked up. The receptionist literally left my 2 daughters and I out on the street in the middle of the night in a town we have never been to before with a receipt saying I would be reimbursed in 5 business days!!! She told me I needed to work on my customer service...I'm the customer. On check in, I offered to show her my ID and card and she declined. When she gave me my reimbursement receipt, my address was from another country. No explanation. No help. Just that nothing was her fault. Tried to talk to manager but no one ever called back after many attempts of calling. Complaints made to Hampton and Hilton and to the hotel itself with no call backs. Will never stay at this hotel. Very disappointed in the Hampton brand all together bc of this and no call back. All around dirty hotel with horrible service. The only reason there is 1 star is because I did not have the option to give 0 stars!!!

    Unacceptable!

We have never stayed at a Fairfield that was in this much need of a renovation. The hotel looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 80s, and is tired. The furniture inside the rooms are old, there are no USB ports, a small TV, and a bathroom in bad condition. The bathroom itself had grime in the crevices of the floor and had blood stains in the crevices of the bath tub. The shower curtain doesn't even cover the entire length of the shower, and water temperature is inconsistent. Sometimes it's lukewarm at the hottest setting, but suddenly it gets up to a burning capable temperature. There was a damp washcloth hanging on the shower curtain when we walked into our room, which should have been picked up by housekeeping. This made us wonder if our room was thoroughly cleaned or not. The beds are as hard as a rock and pillows are so flat that you need three of them to make the size of one pillow. The whole bottom floor smells like microwaved food even at night AND in the morning. The staff are kind and informative, which is needed at a hotel but is no excuse for the condition of this Fairfield. This hotel just needs to be demolished and a new, fresher, and modern one needs to be built.

I had a good experience here with the family with no issues. Staff were great and the room was perfect. Shower was great. Pool was good for the kiddos. But there is a Keriug in the room so you could bring your own pods. Location is right off the main drag in Asheboro. If you have a trailer the parking lot is ok, but if this was full you wouldn't have a place to park it. You would be ok driving around the building as the parking lot does circle it. There is an empty turn below the hotel that might work depending on your trailer? We would stay here again. Perfect location for a visit to the zoo or surrounding area.

When I complained the lady told me they don't even have those rooms in the hotel and the website promotes something you do not have. Next our heat did not work in room 211 they didn't send anyone to look at it and she offered to move us to a room that was not even equivalent to what we had so we stayed in a room with no heat. I called today to see why nobody had gotten back to me about the complaints I had. Angelia picked up the phone she basically blew me off and told me I can call back tomorrow and speak with a manager, did not offer to have a manger call me. I explained to her I wasn't going to wait any longer and she told me to call cooperates and HUNG UP on me. I called back to get the number to cooperate and she told me to look on the website and hung up again. Surprised she is still employed if she can't handle a simple complaint. We checked in on 11.14.2020 into room 210. Looking at the lobby, it appeared that it was going to be a decent hotel. When we checked into the room however, we wondered why a light was on and the tv going. We then had to go back to the front desk because there were no towels, shampoo, or coffee. (We were told they were out of coffee.) Because we were tired, we went to bed early, planning on showering the next morning. Sometime during the night, we turned on the light to go to the restroom only to find a bug climbing on the wall and another on the desk. After using the bathroom, we then had no more bathroom tissue left and no backup. Early the next morning, we started to take a shower and discovered that there was no shower curtain! We had to shower with water splattering all over the place. Getting out of the shower, we discovered that the walls were filthy with something splattered on the walls in multiple places. Going downstairs to get coffee, we found that they only had a frozen pizza and a bar to go with that coffee...no juice, yogurt, fruit, pastry, etc. (The pizza was just sitting out in bags and were not in a refrigeration unit.) The man working said that someone must had forgot to order and the truck had not come in. Checking out, my husband told the lady working the front desk. We did not even get an apology. The woman told us "thank you" in a nonchalant voice. Can you believe it??

One of the more successful iterations of the tiny-accommodations communities I've seen. (One note…read moreis their website calls these Charlotte-Raleigh for the area. It does note that each of those cities is about an hour and a half away. I cannot imagine why you would consider staying here if you were doing anything in either of those two cities. These seem to me much more suited to the nearby NC Zoo or one of the natural areas in the region.) I appreciate that everything is on one level (no sleeping in a loft where you crack your head sitting up in bed) and that the bathroom is surprisingly large, particularly the shower. There is a single sink, so kitchen and bathing uses are combined into one facility. I guess one of the casualties of this design is any comfortable seating space to read, etc. There are two wooden chairs at the small desk/table, but the only suitable place to read indoors would be the bed (which has a firm but comfortable mattress). The outdoor space is nice provided the weather cooperates. Other cabins are close enough that you can probably hear incidental noise, but people are far enough away that you should get peace and quiet unless people in a neighboring unit get out of control. There's a peaceful pond with a path around most of it. Having walked the compound, I think it would be worth it to pay the nominal extra amount for one of the "view" cabins that would overlook the pond. The zoo is very close by, and downtown Asheboro is about 10 minutes away.
