I have stayed here in the past buy the last time was 3 years ago. It has totally gone down hill. No tubs..just showers and my room vibrates!!!! It has to be the AC. We stayed in the Comfort for 3 nights. When my husband called to make the reservation, they said they would give him the "contractor's rate" but not what that meant. When we arrived there was major construction at the entrance so we had to use a back, side door and lug our bags--no cart available-- up to the second floor. The hotel is old enough that an elevator isn't required by law. Our room was never cleaned. They did give us a few towels. When we requested the room to be cleaned, we were informed, cleaning would be every 3rd day. Two issues: We were never informed the hotel was undergoing remodeling or that we wouldn't have any cleaning during our stay. When their hairdryer sounded like a plane taking off, we looked at each other and shook our heads. Management did give us a replacement. On day 3, when we asked if they were going to finally do our room, the employee asked if they could do it tomorrow. We will not be back. read more

Always the same. They tell the same lies to business travelers that make tourists say "Aw shucks". If you don't want to help professional travelers just be honest. Telling me there aren't any rooms cleaned yet at noon simply tells me you couldn't possibly care less. Maybe I need to go look at a clip board on a housekeeping cart and show your unhelpful self which rooms are ready. Would Hawaiian shirt Mickey Mouse hat guy do that? Carpet was filthy and room smelled like fried food. Bathroom was clean, although the lighting was terrible. TV control was impossible to figure out. The hallways smelled like someone spilled a bottle of fabreeze. Gentleman at registration desk was friendly and helpful. read more

The Bellefontaine Comfort Inn is always a good place to stay, and this visit was definitely above average. Not quite perfect, but good. Our room was clean but had a smoky odor to it, and the carpet was a little worn. We alerted front desk and they gave us deodorizer spray and a glade plug in, which worked fine. This is my 3rd or 4th stay here and I'll definitely be back. read more

If I could give it no stars I would but I had to give it one star. First, I asked for 2 queen beds and was not told until after that they don't have any queen beds only king and full sized beds. Second, I have the habit of checking the beds for signs of bed bugs, not only did I find bed bugs but there was also hair in the beds. When I asked the night clerk for a refund and have the reason why, she did not seem at all surprised. This was the first time that I've stayed at a comfort inn and I will NEVER stay at one ever again. I've attached a photo of the bedbug but it looks blurry. read more

I made a reservation to this hotel and cancelled it a few day after on the phone with someone at the hotel. The weekend after I was suppose to stay there I got charged for the room. They keep saying that there's nothing in the system that I cancelled the reservation but I did and still after all these months I still can't get this fixed. read more

Started off our weekend at Mad River by walking into "our room" with other people already in it. Of course it was a confusing trip to the front desk with the lady repeatedly telling us "This is our room." Apparently they accidentally put us in the wrong room and reassigned is a room just two doors down. The room was clean and acceptable to the naked eye, I didn't whip out any black lights though so don't quote me on cleanliness. The WiFi is spotty and the bar is depressing. Online it said there was a hot tub/spa which there wasn't. The free breakfast has a decent. My biggest issue was with the employees, all of which didn't seem to take their jobs or the money people are spending to stay there seriously. We spotted empty beer cans in the manager officer and there was a serious lack of professionalism. I doubt we'll ever comeback. read more

We have been staying there periodically for 10 years. Recently, there has been a large turnover in staff. The best front desk employee has been reassigned to maintenance. Cutbacks are evident. The breakfast offerings are much less. Juices are watery. The worst has been the recent hiring of a new manager. According to a long time employee the room card machine that programs to your room has been faulty. On our recent stay, there were two occasions where the key card would not work. However, when bringing it to the new manager's attention, you get a finger pointing lecture about how you are at fault. Telephones in the rooms no longer work by design. The manager's reason? "People have cell phones." Then why are they still in the rooms? Even the cleaning staff were unaware of this. We intend on renting a vacation residence next time. read more

We were going to RV Wholesalers in Lakeview Oh. This hotel wasn't far from there. We got into town around 10:30pm. We felt the parking lot and surroundings were safe. We were greeted by friendly service . Our room was nice and clean. The bed was so comfortable. We had breakfast in the lobby. Very clean the food was good. If ever back on this side of town we will be staying here again. read more

Stayed here for a wedding at Mad River Mountain. Upon arrival it appeared that no one at the desk knew what was going on. We had been in earlier in the day to see if our room was ready. It wasn't but we were early. They told us after 10 minutes of searching we would be in 241 that evening. When we arrived at 10pm they again couldn't find our room and had to wait for them to figure it out. Before bringing luggage in we checked for bugs and found none! We couldn't make the room entirely dark because the curtains didn't go all the way over. There was a nice jacuzzi tub but it was always because there was nothing to hold onto if u wanted to take a shower and the shower head came out of the ceiling. read more

Wow what experience! I arrived there after I made a reservation and waited for about 15 min at the front desk and nobody showed up. I went to bar and they didn't know where the clerk went. Finally this guy shows up and says he was busy. I get to my room 201 and shower was broken so no shower and they were sold out so no other room. The bathtub and bathroom floors were grossly filthy dirty and I was stuck. At 2:30 am I was awakened by loud people down the hall. No more choice hotels for me!! read more

I stayed here with my wife and 2 kids. It was perfectly fine. Looked clean. We got a non-smoking room with a king size bed plus an extra bed. The bathroom had a jacuzzi and had a big opening 4x4 feet to the bedroom, with only a shower curtain to separate. read more

The staff especially the house keeping staff was amazing. Rooms cleaned when needed and not cleaned when requested. Very generous with towels blankets and pillows. Whatever we needed. We were there for a wedding and had almost a whole wing of the hotel and we had to back and forth between rooms and such and were in the way a lot as they were cleaning and didn't once make us feel like we were I the way. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ever. The only complaint, was the suites had a gust hole in the wall between the bedroom and the bathroom. Zero privacy while sharing a room. Also, the wifi did not work on our phones and iPads. We followed all the steps but that may not necessarily be their fault. read more

I love this hotel!!!! A hidden gem. Get the room with the king sized bed. You get a microwave, refrigerator, and a sink that is separate from your bathroom sink. You get a sweet Jacuzzi tub. You get a good sized room. And seriously, the bed? So comfy and clean. Your choice of pillows; firm or soft. Who does that? On the second floor my window opened so I actually got..... wait for it.... fresh air in a hotel room. The staff is personable and breakfast includes eggs and bacon with a delicious coffee. Do not get me started on The Fountain. Hotel guests, locals, visitors, and well-priced beers. There is a pool table, some TV's, places to sit or stand, what more could you ask for. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the lower quality personal items and the old and not so safe looking weight machine. Other than that, if I am ever in the area, this is where I will be staying. You cannot find a better place to stay. Did I mention free wi-fi? read more
