Before giving an honest review of this Comfort Inn, we need to establish the current national baseline for American hotels. ​Today's average US hotel features carpet in every conceivable shade of vomit--with "Upchuck Elegance" being the clear fan favorite. Every room comes standard with a pristine view of the asphalt parking lot, wall artwork that looks like it was fished out of a shower drain, rattling AC vents, shower controls you need an engineering degree to decipher, a youth hockey team roaming the hallways at 3:00 a.m., and either no Bible or--worse--one replaced by Fifty Shades of Grey. ​So, where does this particular Comfort Inn rank? ​THE GOOD ​Exceptional Staff: The staff is genuinely friendly, helpful, and courteous. Big points for that in a day and age when service industry interactions can feel pretty hostile. ​Free Breakfast: A solid perk, though a little daily rotation would be nice for guests staying more than a night or two. ​Cleanliness: The hotel and rooms are clean across the board. (I won't debate mattress firmness, as bed comfort is purely subjective.) ​Convenient Location: Easy walking distance to a few restaurants and the local, slowly fading mall--which still has a few surviving stores! ​A Classic Touch: There was an actual Bible waiting in the drawer. ​THE BAD ​Curtains with Boundary Issues: The main curtains don't shut, letting "Mr. Sun" give you an unsolicited early wake-up call in the summer (though the sheer curtains at least provide privacy). ​Loose Outlets: Multiple wall outlets are so loose that plugs just fall out, rendering them practically useless. ​TV Quirks: Closed captioning didn't work on the remote and wasn't available in the settings menu. ​Minor Inconveniences: Front desk service can require a brief wait, and while there is a pool, there's no hot tub. ​Dynamic Pricing: Rates suddenly hiked during our stay. Look, this is Great Falls, not Rome--it's not that touristy. ​THE VERDICT ​At the end of the day, I felt safe inside and comfortably protected from the dark elements outside. It's a solid, dependable stay and still cheaper than the other hotels in the area--just pack a eye mask for the curtains and a portable battery pack for your phone! read more

Nice room. The toilet ran all the time so I never had to flush it. All the outlets were so loose I couldn't find anything place to charge my phone. Probably won't stay there again. read more

Pillows are terrible. Staff very unprofessional. No name badges or corporate clothing. I can guarantee you won't sleep sound here.

This is a shi* hole! I swear to god my room was free and I would never stay here again. EVERYTHING IS DIRTY! Blood on the curtains, vent filled with lint, dead bolt on door doesn't work, towels are dingy. There are so many things I could list. Do NOT EVER STAY HERE! read more

Checked into room 104, dropped off our stuff and went to a family dinner. When we got back late to the hotel we unpacked and dropped into bed. The bed was horrible! The mattress was so worn out that we were laying on hard springs and wires. One of the rooms next to us had their TV on full blast...all night! I called the front desk 2 times and there was no answer. We got zero sleep all night. Then at 7:15 am a worker was drilling into the side of the building directly under our window! The hotel is going thru some remodeling of bathrooms. They are removing the tubs and putting in walk-in showers with glass doors. Whoever is doing the work has horrible skills! The doors are all crooked and don't stay closed when showering, towel bars on doors falling off, cracks in shower wall units, and silicone caulking everywhere! They look and function terribly! When I went to the desk to complain about our mattress, noise, and wanted another room the manager was not the friendliest person. She said she would get back to me shortly. There was another woman at the desk who said the workers were pounding so hard on the outside of the building that her curtain rod fell off the window! We packed up our room and went to breakfast. The breakfast room is run down, worn out chairs, dirty, and the tables all rock. The manager was also tending the breakfast room. She came carrying in a container of biscuits that were sitting up at the front desk when I was complaining to her. Breakfast was not very good. We waited about an hour and finally went to the desk about a new room. She said she didn't have any info yet. So we put all our stuff in the car and left for the day to do family stuff. When we "checked" back in she had moved us over 1 room! Really? The loud TV person was still there and the mattress was just as bad! The girl behind the desk (super nice) informed us that they had had streams of complaints that day about the mattresses. She moved us up to the 3rd floor #312. Great mattress, clean room, horrible new shower that was already falling apart. It was super quiet on 3rd. All the public areas were dirty and run down. There was never anyone at the front desk. The whole place is sketchy and I am never staying there again! I feel like the whole Comfort Inn brand has gone downhill. It was always a reliable place to stay but not anymore! read more

Upon walking in, the first thing was the smoke smell. Next found out that the bathroom door doesn't close and the toilet needed some desperate cleaning. Found a used bandaid on the carpet and stepped on a rock. When I opened the drapes, I found that the window was wide open. When I opened a drawer, I found a smoke detector. Looked up and sure enough, smoke detector not attached. Breakfast was watery eggs, meat tray was empty, muffins were empty, 3 bagels left toaster at highest level and it barely toasted. The hair dryer barely worked, then let out a spark and died in my hand. The WiFi is very weak. Instructions to connect are misleading and the connection is SLOW. read more

Worst Hotel Experience Ever! I stayed at this hotel for one evening so I could attend a family member's funeral. This hotel charged me a smoking fee of $250 after I checked out. I'm a non-smoker, as I have asthma. I'm very appalled and feel like it's their way of scamming people out of money. The assistant manger wouldn't listen to me and hung up on me. read more

The smoke detector is damaged/hanging, the toilet seat is melted or has burns; the bathroom floor tiles are STICKY; the room was advertised on special for $55, but when I booked they charged closer to $80! For $80, I would have booked a nice room. read more

Rooms weren't too bad but location isn't great. We had our vehicle gone through and they stole as much as they could.

The rudest people I ever met took my money for a TV I didn't break most of the people that work there are very unprofessional and doesn't really care about anybody but themselves would never stay here again anybody at smart wouldn't go there eitheralso late charge my credit card for the TV and then also try to charge the company that I work for for the TV and charge me for days that we weren't there and won't give it back read more

We were put in a room directly above the pool and we could here echoes of the the children screaming and playing until midnight. We only got 4 hours of sleep! Never mind the kids getting on and off the elevator running down the halls and slamming doors until midnight. Then when we woke up groggy we discovered we could not use the sink in the bathroom. The pipes were on the floor! Never staying at a comfort inn again!!! read more

My family and I stayed here December of 2019. Upon arriving at 1030 pm we had to request 2 full sets of sheets and someone to clean our bathroom. There were long hairs all over the bathroom, stains and hairs in both beds. The pool area is not like the pictures in their website. It is rotting and falling apart. read more

After a long day, having to come into town on an emergency, and not know where I was going to stay, I was pleasantly surprised by a very kind and helpful front desk attendant. My pup was able to stay with me for a reasonable additional fee. My room was very clean, bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. I was able to get a good nights rest. Then start the next day off with coffee in my room and a very nice complimentary breakfast. read more

Have stayed here many times in the past last night we reserved our room through choice privilege rewards. When we came to check in the woman at the counter was speaking with the young man for almost 15 minutes, she just talked . I finally interrupted her and asked if there was a public bathroom because we had just driven for 3 1/2 hours and she said no there wasn't sorry she would be with us shortly another five minutes past. Needless to say I was a bit upset and she was not as talkative. Don't care for the instant coffee in the morning, would prefer brewed. Rooms were clean bathroom is clean. read more

This is definitely more of a budget style hotel, but it has almost everything we needed for a good three night stay. The hotels' amenities are that of a 2 star including free wifi, free breakfast, free in room coffee, and heated indoor pool. Our room didn't come with a fridge but I'm sure we could have received one if we asked. The staff was friendly and the location of the hotel is great..It's right across the street from the mall and 10th Ave. The beds were really comfy and it looks like they are slowly updating the rooms because the bed linens were modern. My fav part of the hotel was how hot the pool was!!! It was almost as hot as a hot tub, so that made up for them not having a hot tub! This hotel is nothing fancy, but for the price we paid we had a great stay! read more

We got there at 5 in the evening walked up to our room and they weren't even made up and someone else's swimming trunks and underwear were hanging in the closet. We told them we were going to grab dinner and would come back. When we got back the beds were made, but the swimming trunks and underwear were still hanging in the closet and we had no towels and no toilet paper. There were several brown/red smears on the ceiling. The elevators were broken, the outside doors weren't working. I do not recommend staying here. read more

What a noisy dive. People running around until 12:30 am last night. Bunch of worthless drunks and complained to front desk and they did nothing. After coming back to the place after work this afternoon, the parking lot was full of garbage and booze bottles. You would think someone from this place would go clean up the parking lot ! Nice hotel! I asked for a quiet room and got one-in fact they cleaned one just for me and on a very busy soccer tourney weekend thanks so much! The hotel is nicely updated and the linens were nice. The area is a little sketchy-we had a few panhandlers asking for money. There's a Starbucks right across the street always handy. All in all great place! read more

Don't stay here if you can avoid it. While the rooms are clean, that is the only positive thing I can say. The breakfast is the same thing every day, including questionable rubber eggs, cold potatoes, and weird tasting "ham". And Wi-Fi is shit, well more than that considering its been down for 2 days and counting. When asking the staff about it, they literally say "it's down and should be up soon" or "it will be another day". We will not ever stay here again. read more
