I am currently staying at the HI, and it's one thing after the other with this damn place!! 1st, they booked us for Thursday-Sunday, when I specifically asked for a Monday checkout. Get here and they charge me an extra $163!!! Then. Every single time I leave the room, when we get back in the evening, my damn keys don't work!! And they blame it on ME!! That's I'm placing the close to my cell phone or mobile device of some kind!! I literally held them in my hand, and placed them in the glovebox of the car!!! They came to clean the room, but left us no toilet paper. Now if I want TP, I have to walk down to reception and get some!!! Lady, I gotta poop! I ain't got time to walk down there and get it!! Overall this experience has been absolutely horrible!! They really dropped the ball on this one! They ruined my experience with Tennesee. The headboard had fell off the wall. The smoke alarm was laying in the floor. The vent cover was off the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Burn holes all in the bedspread. We kind of got a weird vibe when we parked outside the room and there were abandoned articles of clothing strewn across the parking lot. We still aren't sure the room had actually been cleaned before we got there, but we were only staying one night and leaving first thing in the morning. Bottom line: if you want cheap, stay here. When I arrived, it took a long time for anyone to come to the front desk. The owner eventually appeared and listened while I explained what I had just gone through, which I appreciated initially. However, the stay itself quickly became concerning. I had booked a King non-smoking room through the My6 app, with all of my information--including two dogs--clearly uploaded in advance. I was told that the room I reserved was not available and was placed into a double non-smoking room instead, which I was charged extra for, despite it being a downgrade from my original reservation. I was also charged additional pet deposits, even though my pets were already disclosed in the My6 system and I was asked again at check-in. Multiple extra charges were added with little clarity upfront, which made the experience feel disorganized and disconcerting. Only after I mentioned that I intended to leave a review and contact Motel 6 corporate did the tone change. At that point, discounts were suddenly applied and things became more transparent--but this should have been the case from the beginning, not after the fact. The room itself was another issue. Neither the sink nor the bathtub had stoppers, making it impossible to take a bath. While washing my face, I nearly lost my ring down the sink, which was unsettling. The bathroom showed visible wear: peeling paint on the tile, which raised questions about maintenance and cleanliness. The overall appearance felt cheap and poorly finished. The closet contained exposed wire and flimsy plastic hangers, the kind typically given away for free, which contrasted sharply with the owner's repeated emphasis on how many hotels his family owns. Most concerning, the sheets and towels were yellowed, to the point where I did not feel comfortable using them. I ended up sleeping in my sleeping bag on top of the bed instead. This stay could--and should--have been straightforward. Instead, it involved delays, room changes, unexpected charges, and a room that did not feel properly maintained or prepared for guests.

Also killed four bugs the first night and only night there. I think they came from the gap in door. Floor was filthy. Fridge defrosted or went out I left after cleaning up the water in the floor. Once you find it (on the left), you will do what I did and drive around it in a circle, not seeing the office. Then, hopefully, you will do what I did and go to the Baymont office, where they can actually check you in. That's really the major issue here. I got an upstairs room and it was fine. Watched some TV, relaxed for a bit, went to bed. Turned in the key in the morning, picked up a piece of fruit and a yogurt, and was on my way. Nothing to comment on here. Very quiet despite being outside-opening rooms. I would consider staying here again, now that I know where it is.

Every sound outside and from the second floor is heard. So, even though the beds are comfortable, it's tough to get a good night's sleep with the high level of noise. In our case, a motorcycle rolled in at 2 am and revved for the next 30 min. The weed and cigarette smoke from adjacent rooms flowed from the vents into our non-smoking room. The bathroom vent was particularly polluted. The amenities were from yesteryear and one of the (very few) outlets was so loose that it couldn't maintain a plug. There is NO grass for the dogs to use. We had to go to the back of the Hardee's next door to find a patch by the dumpster. Finally, the morning that we left, we loaded the car while the owner shouted at an employee about checking rooms. He then proceeded into a room with a rag and a spray bottle. It was an uncomfortable experience.

I arrived @ 11pm and I'm not sure if the front desk guy just woke up or if he had been drinking. He was having trouble talking and standing. He asked me what I booked the room for and I told him, hethenproceeded to tell me that I hadn't paid for it yet (which I used my Google wallet to book the because it was priceline) but whatever I paid again. The room looked nothing like the pictures and was a non smoking room but smelled like a smoking room. It feels like a bed bug breeding area. I mad a last minute decision to drive 3 hours at night rather than start out at 4am in the morning. Been there, done that, not a fan. I made the right decision. I checked in at 3:00am and the manager/owner slept in his office until I got there. That is going above and beyond! This is not a chain. It's a small family run operation and they have obviously spent a lot of time fixing this place up. Its the best $60.00 room you will ever see. The place is not new and there is a slight smell of age in the room, however the smell was just the old building smell. That cost them a star. However my room was immaculate and my mattress was awesome. I go to this festival every year and this motel is my new go to for lodging!!!!!
