The sink was outside the bathroom, which is a handy layout for when two of you are getting ready. Toilet had a sanitation seal when we arrived. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel in pumps in the shower. Lotion and soap by the sink. Free outdoor parking. Short drive to Parkside strip mall restaurants and shop, which felt newer and upscale. Microwave, fridge, hair dryer, iron, desk, chair in room. Carpeted room. Complimentary cookies on arrival. Basic hotel buffet breakfast consisting of things like grits, oatmeal, cereal, bacon, waffles, bread items, yogurt from machine, fruit. Fancy coffee machine off the lobby/breakfast area so you can make more than just a basic coffee. Yes! The price we paid was excellent -- we booked a last minute flash sale. Most Disrespectful, Incompetent, and Infuriating Experience of My Life - Best Western, You've Lost a Loyal Customer Forever Let me be blunt: This hotel is a disgrace, and Sara (or Sorah, whatever the hell her name is) is the most incompetent, unhelpful, and disrespectful individual I have ever dealt with at any hotel--and I'm a Best Western Elite member. After driving 10 goddamn hours, exhausted and just wanting to check in, I walk in with a confirmed reservation and a valid digital credit card that shows full numbers, expiration, and CVV. This is 2025, and I use this method everywhere, every day, without issue. But no--this disaster of a front desk agent decides to argue with me and flat out refuses to even try to manually enter the information. Instead, she acts like I'm committing fraud or something and demands I get someone else to fill out an authorization form. Are you serious? That's your solution? After I just drove across the country? The level of stupidity, laziness, and zero-effort mentality this woman displayed was so far beyond what any trained hospitality staff should ever be capable of, I'm honestly shocked she still has a job. She made zero effort to resolve the issue, zero professionalism, and treated me with total disrespect--as if I was the problem. I am filing a full corporate complaint. Not just a casual "let me speak to a manager" type complaint--I'm taking this all the way up, because no one should be treated like this, especially after being a loyal Best Western customer for years. You want to treat your top-tier guests like dirt? Fine. Then you've lost this guest for good. I wouldn't stay at this place again if it were the last hotel on Earth. To the management: You better look long and hard at your hiring practices. Sara is single-handedly destroying your reputation. And to Sara: You clearly don't belong in customer service. The reason for the low rating is because my clothing was stolen out of my suitcase at the hotel. I notified the manager and she was apologetic, but couldn't compensate me for my stolen property. It is infuriating that my personal things were violated by the hotel staff. The items were new with tags and were purchased specifically for the vacation. To add to this, these were the only things that I had to wear for cold weather! How disappointing to know someone went through my bag and stole my personal property. We Reserved two room for our large traveling party. Check-in was nice and easy and front desk people were amazing. Both of our rooms were spacious and clean. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a Hello and how can I help you, room was great, nice beds, clean, bathroom was clean and toilet had a band that it had been santized. The shower gel,shampoo and conditioner along with lotion had a fantastic citrus smell. The breakfast in the morning had a good variety of cereals, along with yogurt, waffles, egg, bacon and biscuits and gravy along with hot drinks and juices. The only bad thing I can say is you can hear the interstate but they do offer ear plugs not that we used it we just turned our sound machine on, which drown out the noise. This hotel is clean and basically friendly, not overly friendly. Check in was quick and thorough. The room was good and clean inside and everything worked and there were plenty of towels and wash cloths and toilet paper and Kleenex. The coffee is awful as they use Nescafé in a machine with other things and it's awful. The breakfast selections are OK, but it seems to be the same everywhere. If there's a shortage in something how come, some hotels are fully stocked while others have none as I'd say that has to do with poor planning or if they need a better source. No yogurt. Best Western Cedar Bluff has a lot going for it. I was in town doing a show at Central Cinema, and I wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again. Check in with Kristin was fast and painless. The room was great. Some of my favorite things -- a vanity area outside the bathroom, fridge and microwave, plenty of easy-access power ports on the night stand (and the light fixtures above it), and comfortable beds. Breakfast was nicely varied with plenty of hot options. Two kinds of waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, lots of choices. I'm always a fan of a fitness center with some sort of resistance options. Best Means Best Ambience and atmosphere are the name of the game at this establishment. Courteous staff was available for our late night check in. We were even given wonderful tips on the next time we visit town where to go and who to contact for performances (once we let it slip that we were comedians). Immaculate Lobby and clean rooms make this an A Plus Stay. Wifi Fitness Center Breakfast and Bottomless Coffee take it to the next level. If you forget your equipment, Printing and Computer Use are complimentary as well. Just don't forget to log out before you go. If you're hungry there's 24hr oatmeal, grits, and apples and a microwave and a large "mini" fridge to handle the aftermath. That bottomless coffee is always replenished, even at 3am. Hot breakfast is early but has protein, with a few diff types of eggs, bacon, and hash browns/homefries in addition to the Southern Staple Biscuits and Gravy and the cold bar with toasts, buns, donuts and yogurts. The Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff has been our go to lodging for the last couple of years when performing on WDVX in downtown Knoxville. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean, right down to the detail of a sealed toilet seat, and offer the usual amenities. The exercise room is well maintained and a blessing after a long drive, or in the morning before the show. The continental breakfast was good with choices for different tastes. I stayed here while in Knoxville for a concert. The hotel seemed brand new... modern bathroom with eco-friendly dispensers for shampoos, body wash, etc. and LOTS of fresh towels. The bed was huge and comfy, more like the beds you'd find at more expensive hotels! They had free breakfast, but I slept so well that I slept through breakfast! The hotel was in a nice area just west of Knoxville, it only took about 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville to the hotel. The hotel was surrounded by tons of shopping of all kinds, and MANY restaurants. Great bargain, would definitely stay here again, the staff made if very pleasant! read more

The Cedar Bluff Best Western was a little older, but cozy and welcoming. The front desk staff were very sweet and helpful, even at 8am when I thought I left my wallet after check out. I started this experience with Best Western Plus GREAT and finished FANTASTIC! I booked a 7 night stay with Priceline for a GREAT price. The booking was for two queen beds or a king (whatever available at the time off check inn). I called immediately and asked the person at the desk if they could reserve me the king bed. His response was let me see what I could do. He finally said yes and booked my stay in a King SUITE for now extra cost. I was shocked at his efficiency and his friendliness. I got off the phone excited for my stay. When I entered into the hotel I was feeling a little apprehensive with my decision to stay because the Lobby seemed a little dated. I soon was distracted with my apprehensions with the gracious welcome that my wife and I received. The room was nice and up to date, it had a desk, large flat screen a refrigerator and a microwave. The bed was clean and mattress good. What really made the visit was the Staff! Every employee greeted me with a smile, eye contact and a greeting. Maria the housekeeper who watched after our room was so loving that we felt like she was really taking care of us. We share our lives during conversation. She always made our bed the way we like with extra blankets between two sheets. She always talked to us and the last day we saw her she purposely stopped working and gave my wife and I a big hug. Then we had Debbie at the front desk who went out of our way to make sure we had cookies when we got back to the hotel late. If you don't know they have a cookie service with free cookies starting late afternoon. We always got back around 11pm and missed the cookies, but Debbie took care of that. Then there was ms Wanda who always had the free breakfast stocked and a fun laugh that made you feel good. Her and Debbie had a great personality and would joke with you. I have truly felt like I was staying at a family member's house this week. I will be back to knoxville and I am going to make sure I stay at this Best Western Plus even without a good price. The stay at The Best Western plus cedar bluff inn was wonderful. Friendly front desk service and staff. The lobby was comfortable and homey. The lobby's lounge was equipped with a beautiful stone fire place that really added to the home like atmosphere. I enjoyed the option of taking the carpeted stairs to the second floor. It made for a unique experience of feeling at home when going from our room on the second floor to the open lobby for coffee and a plethora of breakfast options. The fitness center met all my needs with its treadmill, ellipticals, stationary bike, and a very nice multi gym. The room had everything you could ask for. Two queen sized beds, an arm chair, work station desk with a relaxing computer chair, a rather large mini fridge, a microwave and a nice tv. I loved that the bathroom's shower had three separate dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. It was incredibly convenient and the products were quality. I also enjoyed that the bathroom had a fan vent, which is becoming increasingly rare in hotels these days. All these amenities lead to a very comfortable and joyous stay. When we drove in, we drove right passed the hotel into a randomly large parking lot cause there was no sign for the hotel... So that doubtful left turn...take it. We enter and it doesn't look run down and old but it isn't modern either. It's clean and what you would expect from an average looking hotel. They had free Valentine's Day cookies available (much needed after a long car ride). They person that checked me in was very sweet: told us about the complementary breakfast from 6-9:30AM, coffee and tea is offered 24/7 and front desk service also available 24/7. When booking, we were pressed on getting a room with a whirlpool. What I didn't know was that whirlpools were in the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE-- so we were pretty happy when we walked up to our door and saw "PRESIDENTIAL SUITE". The room was large, clean and roomy! The bed was incredibly comfortable. The whirlpool was AWESOME! The bathroom in general was great. The large tub was practically in its own room within the bathroom, with stone tiling surrounding it and a shower head above. WARNING: when turning the knob, TURN IT VERY SLOWLY to set the speed of the jets. The first time I turned the knob, I didn't know how sensitive it was and shot ALL the water on to the sink, out the door into the hallways and all over the floor. The second time I did it, I managed to keep the water in the tub but it was still pretty strong. Once I got it past the 5, I was able to keep pulling to set the time. I was paranoid that the tub would be dirty and such but it was very clean! Only issues: the windows are pretty thin so we could hear the highway. Also the room is so large, it took a while to get the room to the right temp. Lastly, the TV was soooo far from the bed that we couldn't clearly see the TV from the bed but other than that, everything was great! read more

We absolutely loved our stay at Best Western Plus in Knoxville. Our check in was on the later side because we checked in after a show we played at Barley's in downtown Knoxville that night but it was no problem at all. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the setup of the room and how it was laid out. There was a large, comfortable bed as well as a desk for work. The bed gave us such a good night's sleep that we wanted to sleep in all day. I also love that they have a little market by the desk where you can buy snacks and toiletries so you don't have to leave the hotel for small things like that. Overall we had a great stay at this hotel and would love to stay here again when in town. It's worth a little drive from Knoxville to get a great hotel for an affordable price (and not have to pay for parking). read more

First of all the staff is courteous, friendly and care about providing good service. The house keeping staff does a good job to keep it clean. It is located near the interstate and various excellent restaurants are nearby. The executive rooms have a semi kitchen with a dishwasher, so you could do a little microwave cooking if you are on an extended stay. The hotel appears to be 80's vintage, but it has been renovated at some time in the past. The negatives. The dark furnishings in the room suck the light up. The air conditioning! The first room we were assigned had the air conditioner disassembled, with parts spread across the floor. A bad sign and back to the front desk, for a different room. When we opened the door to the new room (214) we smelled a slight musty mildew smell. Or, the room may have been a smokers room at some time in it's past and they just couldn't quite get all the smell out. It was a cool rainy day when we stayed. The room was warm when we walked in. The thermostat had been set to 68. Another bad sign. I set the temp a 60 and the AC worked hard to just barely keep the room cool. After about 4 hours it cooled down to about 72 and we were able to have a comfortable night's sleep. Had the temperatures out side been in the 90's this room would have never gotten cool. Some of the musty smell was coming from the A/C so, my guess is the coils need to be cleaned to allow better air circulation and eliminate the smell. When you stay, make sure you are happy with the heat and air conditioning before you get too settled in. Other than that, this is a pretty good place to stay. 100% Horrible stay at this location! Hotel allowed/sanctioned/failed to stop or even question, several drunken tail gate parties that errupted in the hotel parking lot, by several different groups all at the same time. We watched the one nearest our room, grew quickly to some 50+ people and dozen or more cars. Non-hotel guest began arriving to join in the fun, which included public drunkenness, both a football game & full on bean bag toss in the middle of the driveway and around already parked hotel guest vehicles. This came with all the drunken noise associated with that. Lawn chairs & large patio umbrellas spread out, car stereos blasting, open alchohal, several BBQs, etc. all filling up an already overly small parking lot and taking place within feet from occupied hotel rooms & the pool. There was another tail gate party in the front of the hotel, in clear view of the entrance that was also going at the same time, albiet smaller, so there was no way that hotel staff at that time did not know this was happening. This was not only allowed to take place, but allowed to continue into the night time hours, with complete disregard to ALL the other (paying) hotel guest. There was no thought to any guest that simply wanted to sleep/rest, day sleepers, the much needed parking needs of actual hotel guest, etc. Our vehicle was parked (prior to) what later became the middle of this choatic cluster and we observed our new vehicle being struck 2 times by the football, before we were forced to go down and relocate it, for fear of damage. We are Bestwestern Gold level members (ie; not new to travel or hotel stays) and had planned on/booked a several night stay at this location, but decided, along with at least 1 other couple we talked to on our way out, to leave our stay early and find a better managed hotel. Besides some sort of BS checkin policy (again, something not experienced at any other BW location) this was by far, the very worst best western stay, actually any hotel stay, we have ever had! Hotel management has already learned about this incident (via BW review) but have choosen to do nothing but respond with a blanket canned reply of "oh so sorry your stay didnt meet your expectations" (WTF), and they have certainly not reached out to us personally to even discuss the matter. Thinking on it, if I didnt know better, Id think someone at the hotel might have been paid, for the temp use of this BW locations parking lot, by a bunch of loud, drunk, non-guest partiers to use, it was that far from anything, we have ever witnessed at a hotel, having traveled thru some 47 states now. I'd strongly recommend when searching for a hotel in this area - absolutely choose elsewhere! read more

They provide hot water for tea and freshly brewed coffee 24 hours a day as well as a full breakfast every morning. The location is very convenient to all things Knoxville. Since we arrived very late she extended us a late check out which was much appreciated. We didn't get a chance to go in the pool bc it was closed but it looked great. Being on tour can have its challenges and overwhelming elements, especially when it comes to housing. This Best Western put my over-traveled mind at ease. There's an aura of comfort that is felt right off the bat as soon as you step foot into the lobby. The staff is affable and dedicated to providing a their guests with a pleasant stay. The breakfast food that was prepared was simply toothsome, specifically the potatoes, which were spiced to perfection. The gym for me is a necessity, and I was delighted with the equipment that was supplied. Thank you to the employee who quickly returned my missing headphones to me before my departure! Stayed here three nights while wife was attending class in the area. Physical plant good. Adequate hot water. Heat and A/C functioned as expected for a motel - too hot in day, too cold in night. Maintenance of plant adequate although lots of minor things to be done like missing molding in elevator. Nothing obvious that impacts safety, sanitation, etc. Towels very good. Cleaning staff reasonably efficient. Network was adequate sometimes for bandwidth. Wireless is one node per floor rather than in room so architectural dead spots abound. Also many nodes presented to wireless monitor. No network information other than LI/PW provided so selecting node to use is tial and error. Network has web LI/PW and is horribly slow. Apparently incompatible with any browser other than IE and any form of session resume either crashes machine or locks network. Network seems to be centrall managed as front desk clerks and operator are clueless. Only food service is warm breakfast and all day coffee. Breakfast is some variant on rock hard biscuits and fatty gravy augmented with eggs and meat. Stereotypical Southron. No fruit or grains other than stale sugar pastries and instant oatmeal. Very greasy - I had mild diarrhea by second morning of stay. Coffee urns infrequently changed so coffee increasingly stale as day progresses. Parking is marginal. Street access is poor to fair. Area is heavily travelled and exiting the access road took as much as five minutes to turn left. Soundproofing privacy fair at best. Weekend of stay was UT homecoming so late, loud racket obnoxious and sleep disrupting but also admittedly unusual. No efforts by motel staff to moderate conditions. I recently spent two well-rested nights at the Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn. I had two very exhausting days of work, and could not be more thankful for the peaceful stay waiting for me in Knoxville. With comfortable beds, and an incredibly hospitable staff who got me checked in quickly & was incredibly attentive even though I checked in super late the first night (night staff to me always tells you just how good a hotel is, and this Best Western Plus really earned 5 stars from me in that department!). I wish I'd had some extra time to check out the pool, it was clean & inviting outside, and the gym was cozy & ready to use inside. The free breakfast was tasty & warm, a perfect way to get my day started. It was nice to be a few miles out of town to avoid the noise of the city. Average continental breakfast. We noticed a small leak in our room coming from the ceiling above the sink, so we notified the front desk. Within an hour, maintenance came and fixed it. Wow, could this have been more disappointing? We had a living social getaway deal for Knoxville and it included the Presidential Whirlpool Suite at this Best Western. Now, we didn't have any high expectations for the Best Western and it still didn't live up to expectations... When we arrived, the front desk staff was very friendly and sent us straight to our room. The hallways were clearly being refurbished and the bottom half was in the process of being dry walled, which I've only seen in NOLA after Katrina and made me a little nervous. We walked in to the room and thought it was what we had bargained for, but the sign that caught my eye was the no smoking sign... Which was funny because the room smelled vaguely of smoke... But, we were on vacation and we only smelled it right in the entrance so why bother complaining? Later that night we went for the whirlpool and I think I still have hearing damage! It is definitely an older whirlpool model and you may want to bring earplugs! After going up to the conveniently located shopping center, we came back with a new e reader that we were excited to try out! I hadn't been able to log on to the wireless network earlier but figured I would check later, so we called up to the front only to have a rude/short front desk clerk tell me I must be doing something wrong because I couldn't connect to their wireless. I never went to the lobby to try, but either the wireless is broken or it doesn't reach the presidential suite... Breakfasts was included, but the breakfast room only sat about ten people at a time and the eggs tasted like they had been microwaved. The biscuits and gravy were acceptable but other than that we were unimpressed. The last straw actually came when we got home and unpacked. Everything stink stank stunk! Reeked like we had spent the weekend with my uncle who smokes! I was very disappointed in this stay, I don't know that I've ever been so bent out of shape over a weekend in a hotel. Location was good and the bed was comfy, but if I'd paid any real money I would have been straight up p*ssed. read more
