My family needed Hospice carer for my mother and we had no idea how the process worked and needed to rely on someone to explain to us about Hospice and what it entailed. This is a very stressful decision to make for our loved one, but Apreva quickly eased our concerns and uncertainty. From the first contact on the phone to the last contact I can't say enough about the incredible team that cared for my mom. Dr Danque was professional, compassionate and was always available when needed. Initially Dr. Danque came to the house and explained the process and what to expect. She answered all our questions and we stayed until all our questions were answered and we never felt she was in a hurry. RN Kaylyn is an absolute ANGEL! She was the main RN caregiver for my mom for almost a year. Kaylyn was available for my 80 year old Dad who was by my mom's side the entire time. He would contact Kaylyn any time he had a question or concern about my mom. As my mom declined, her medications needed to be changed due to increased pain and phycological issues and Kaylyn was always there to help treat my mom and was a personal sounding board for my dad. Kaylyn has become a member of our family!! Kaylyn's compassion, empathy and knowledge made a difficult time on our lives much better. Knowing if we had a question we could contact Kaylyn was such a relief. And if Kaylyn was not available, Apreva is available 24 hours. There were several times we needed help late at night and during weekends and Apreva promptly sent nurses and/or Doctors to our home. The entire Apreva Hospice provided outstanding service and care to my mom and our family. Apreva offers many services and their help does not end after your loved one passes. They are still there to offer assistance like grief counseling, etc. We NEVER had a problem with supplies needed or medications as others claim in their reviews. Liz was amazing with helping me coordinate medications list and the proper paperwork to ensure my fathers medical conditions and limitations were understood and he would be handled with care. My favorites: the people and cleanliness. Every visit I made to the CRV I was greeted by smiling people and the place is always spotless. Harborview Senior Assisted Living exceeded my expectations…read more After an increasing number of falls and associated hospitalizations, I was no longer able to care for my 91 year old mother at my home. She didn't want to have to move into an institution and I didn't want her in one either. However I also didn't want her in a place so small there wasn't activities and stimulation. I'm so happy that with the help of a placement guide we found HarborView. It's a beautiful mansion with manicured gardens set on a hill overlooking the stunning San Diego Bay that has 30 residents, a full staff and daily activities. After moving in we quickly found out that the staff is what really makes this place special. They are loving, attentive, respectful, courteous, caring and fun. There are always lots of smiles, laughter and music to enjoy as well as good food and the highest quality of care. I cannot recommend this place more. HarborView Senior Assisted Living was truly an answer to our prayers. It was the perfect place for my beloved mother's final days. It is a beautiful loving caring home, not an institution. As we are both in our late 70's, we determined that some in-home weekly assistance would be needed. Relying on Yelp reviews we contacted San Diego Home Caregivers and met with the owner Sterling Miles. It was clear from the start that finding the right caregiver and meeting all of Mom's needs was his top priority. He even gave us information on other options in case his services might not meet our needs. He is genuine in his concern and commitment to providing top level care. We could not have been more impressed when we met Mom's new caregiver Jasmine. Her cheerful, warm personality was a perfect fit, and Mom was immediately comfortable with her. She went out of her way to not only care for Mom but to also help us in any way she could. Unfortunately, by the end of January Mom was at the end stage of her life. Because she was so comfortable with Jasmine, we had her continue to come even though Mom also had Hospice care by that time. As 20 family members came to say their goodbyes over the final two weeks, they were also very impressed with how caring Jasmine was and how much Mom appreciated having her there.
