Through a coworker, I learned that a family member of hers was already receiving acute physical therapy at Encompass, and she spoke so highly of the professionalism and the facility that I shared it with my siblings. Not sure if manifestation did its magic, but the very next day, Gina, the liaison, reached out to me to confirm our interest in moving forward with the referral. She was warm, thorough, and deeply reassuring, guiding us with clarity and kindness. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the environment: calm, organized, and thoughtfully designed, with each patient given the dignity of a private room. Gina had advised my mother to bring comfortable clothing and activewear, preparing her for the intensity of acute rehabilitation. The nursing staff met every expectation with grace and care. A heartfelt thank-you to Nurses Lupe, Daisy--whom my mother called her "my friend," a name they shared for each other--JP, Tiffany, May, and all the others whose names I may not have learned, but whose presence we felt deeply. The food and cleaning service crew were wonderful in maintaining a clean environment everyday and nutritious meals! My mom loved the food & it definitely provided her more insights on the importance of eating a variety of foods! I wasn't able to attend most occupational therapy sessions since they were held early in the morning before visiting hours at 8am, but I did have the chance to meet Peter and Cassidy. They were grounded, kind, and made my mother feel safe and at ease during her first shower in a week--a moment she described with profound gratitude, calling it "the best shower of my life." And finally, to our main case manager, Nhã Vũ and the physical therapy team Matt Lê, Kevin Lê, and the therapist with the earring who was described as "Kevin's student," (sorry I wasn't there to catch your name) ,Tâm & Christine- each of you left an enduring mark on her recovery. Even those I did not meet were spoken of repeatedly with admiration and warmth. My mother often recalls how one of you said you would care for her as you would your own mother and you did exactly that. There is something powerful in how she continues to remember these sessions. During home PT, she will sometimes pause mid-exercise, laugh to herself, and recount a story or moment from Encompass. Those memories have become part of her healing. We are especially grateful for the diversity within Encompass, and for the Vietnamese physical therapists who played such an important role in her comfort and motivation. Being able to communicate fully and be understood, I believe, made a meaningful difference in her recovery trajectory. She is not yet fully recovered, but she is undeniably on a strong path forward--built on a foundation of skilled care, encouragement, and human connection. The level of care, compassion, and professionalism shown by everyone at Sun Mar is truly remarkable. No matter the situation, their staff consistently go above and beyond for their patients. Every issue was addressed and resolved in a timely and caring manner, and my dad's needs were always their top priority. From the nurses and physical therapists to the staff who assisted with meals, bathing, and medication, every single person played an important role in my dad's recovery. Since my mother has dementia and tends to walk around on her own--putting her at high risk for falls--they placed a bed alarm under her mattress and an alarm mat on the floor, which gives me peace of mind. The staff is sweet and thoughtful. Vanna from Customer Service is enthusiastic and friendly; she regularly visits my mother to check in on her and answer any questions I have. The kitchen even serves Vietnamese food, which my mother really enjoys. The nurses--like Kayla, Tran, Richard, LyLy, and many others whose names I can't recall right now--are all wonderful. I saw noticeable progress in her condition through her therapy sessions, and I deeply appreciate the clinical expertise at The Grove Post-Acute. Many thanks to Earl, Faye, Nicole, Niki, and Albert. The facility truly offers a family environment where my mom was given excellent care, comfort, entertainment, and spiritual enrichment. The food board and kitchen staff were absolutely awesome--thank you for your nutritious menu! The CNAs and housekeeping staff were on their feet 24/7 to keep the facility spotless. Thanks to Anita, Dana, and Jasmin. My sister even flew in from France to visit our mom, and she was amazed by the cleanliness of the building, the hospitality of all the staff, and the diligence and expertise of the therapists. During that time, our family had the opportunity to get to know many of the wonderful people who cared for her. From the beginning, we felt welcomed, and we are truly grateful for everything everyone did for my mother. Gina, her CNA, was especially wonderful, and we really appreciated all the CNAs who took care of my mother. The administrator, Mark, was very helpful and patient and took the time to listen to our concerns and help us whenever we needed him. Meena, from Admissions, was so sweet and helpful that she made me feel comfortable and gave me confidence in choosing this place for my mother. Jane and Destiny from Case Management were always there when we needed assistance. I also want to thank the nurses, especially Jhon, Freddy, and all the others who cared for my mother. A special thank you to Jhon because my mother was always calling out, "Amigo, come!" and he would come to see what she needed. That always made us laugh and became one of those little memories we will never forget. And Freddy knew how much my mother loved having fruit, especially a banana for a snack. He would remember and bring one to her. Those little gestures meant so much to us because they showed how well they got to know her and the things she enjoyed. Thank you also to Lihan, the nursing supervisor and Ira the wound care nurse. My mother especially loved the therapy staff, particularly Melany and her team. She looked forward to her therapy sessions and really enjoyed spending time with them. The activities staff were wonderful too. My mother loved the painting activities and the ice cream socials, which she still talks about and really misses. One of our favorite things about the facility was the large common room with the big TV, called the Matrix Room. We spent many hours there with my mother watching soccer games. Our whole family even went there together to watch the World Cup. Sometimes we watched with other residents, and it felt like a little community. Those are memories our family will always treasure. My family and I visited my mother every morning and afternoon, and we always felt comfortable being there. The staff worked different 8-hour shifts, and we got to know many different people throughout our stay. We truly appreciate the effort everyone made to care for my mother and make her feel comfortable. We miss this place and, most of all, the people who became part of our lives during this time. This review is for Dr. V (Veeramachaneni). My uncle came from a different SNF where I honestly…read moredidn't think he was coming home. The lack of care he received there was unacceptable and honestly was neglect. Needless to say, I reported them to the State. This facility was recommended by a Doctor who oversaw my uncle's care at Orange County Global Hospital. I was very hesitant because of the 1st SNF, however, after my first visit at OHWC, I had hope. My uncle left the 1st facility needing an oxygen tank and barely able to walk, in a matter of weeks, my uncle was walking on his own with little assistance and was a completely different person. I honestly thought he was never coming home again. Dr. V oversaw my uncle's care and made an effort to communicate with me 2-3x each week with updates on my uncle. He was amazing at what he did, helped my uncle with his complicated diabetes and found a combination of meds that worked to help stabilize his sugar levels. He always checked in with my uncle despite the language barrier and my uncle became fond of him. He is very genuine and the you get a sense of how much he cares about his patients which you don't see to often nowadays with the workload. I've had to interact with my doctors and nurses over the last 5 months and Dr. V has been the doctor that stood out the most. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to have oversee my uncle's care. Thank you Dr. V. I hope that there are more doctors like you. Thank you for taking care of my uncle and making sure he is always making progress and checking in with him and me. Our family greatly appreciates you and can't thank you enough for what you do.

My family member came here for post knee surgery rehabilitation & care. What was incredibly disappointing was nurse Sharon's lack of empathy, knowledge or help. My family member vocalized numerous times to Sharon & other staff discomfort around the physical therapy exercises as well as her inability to execute the exercise requested of her successfully. Their documentation of physical progress was exaggerated & it felt incredibly rushed & insensitive. For that reason, I'm extremely disappointed by the level of service & I would not recommend anyone else to bring their family here. Please do your research & advocate for your friends or family if they do stay at this facility.
