My mother developed Parkinsons several years ago and as a widow who lived alone independently she started to need some assistance with her activities of daily living. Brian Seiki and the comforcare staff provided consistent, warm, kind, empathic caregivers. Some of the caregivers were individuals who became deeply important to my mother. Were there occasional hiccups? yes - like a caregiver cancelling at the last moment and a scramble to get coverage, and as with all things, some caregivers meshed better with my Mother than others. Overall though, Comforcare allowed my mother to remain at home instead of going to an assisted living facility for the remaining years of her life. Used this agency for almost 8 years, starting with part-time care and then 24/7 the last 3 years until my father moved to an assisted living place. They run a pretty strong business that is not always easy to staff. Most of the caregivers stayed quite a while (some for years), which was nice, as my father has a particular "style" so getting to know him helped. Caregiver training and competency were generally good, though occasionally a new staffer wouldn't last--sometimes the handoff of info was not solid enough for our situation (father could be short on patience if someone came and was clueless). I have not had experiences with other agencies, but certainly Comforcare is a good place to start and be certain someone will show up when expected. Not always a guarantee in today's world, and since I live far away, it was great to know someone was always there, esp. in the later years when my father needed 24/7 attention. read more

If I could give Brian and his team ************** stars I would! Brian cared for my family and took care of us in our time of need. Our mother was being released to go home on hospice. Brian helped arrange full time loving, caring and amazing caretakers for us within just a few days. We thought that was amazing. But then Amila showed up. She one upped Brian. She was professional, thoughtful and very thorough. We knew immediately that Brian had sent us an angle. Amila was with us for 3 nights. Then Verma came and spent the duration of my mother's life with us. It was a hard 5 days but Verma led my family and I and took the best care of our mother. The sweet, soft, nurturing way that these women cared for our mother was truly amazing and beautiful. Brian personally came to visit us twice during our short time with ComForCare. Brian sent his own registered nurse to meet with my mom to gauge her medical needs. We found Brian to not only be professional, but he is thoughtful and sensitive as well. Brian took 4 pages of notes during our first conversation to make sure he found us the right people to help with our family. Brian accomplished that and more.
