Paid more and customer service (Taylor) was horrible. 4 irritating phone calls. Salesman took us to appliances and we walked around them noting no dents or defects. Why they do that I have no idea because they came in a box and the dryer had a huge dent across the front. Delivery people took it out of the box and set it in place like we ordered a dented dryer. Did not mention it, like it did not exist. We were leaving on vacation in the morning and had laundry to do before we left since our washer died. They stated one other dryer in store also dented. Solutions - we could send them both back and get a different color - after vacation. Or get different appliances altogether since dryer was on back order. Horrible customer service. While I was in the store I was looking at refrigerators. I will buy that elsewhere and will not feel one bit bad that I will not spend my money at this local family owned business.

Here's why: I am a witness to the fact they put NEW price tags on all their furniture, grossly inflating the prices then marking them down 30%. A sofa that was $699 a month ago has a new price of $1099 minus 30% is....you got it, $699. The customer thinks they're getting a deal. What they're really getting is the original sales price which is to say, there is no sale, only deception. It's unfortunate there are nice salespeople trying to make a living at this store who are being paid to know there's customer deceit.

The furniture is returned to the store and resold for the same profit twice! I observed being told prices are what it's marked and no discounts are given! Later found out from store manager that it was discounted because it's 8yrs old and it's been returned! So imagine how much dust mites and bodily fluids in that bed, that should've never been sold in the 1st place! Things sit back there for months at a time and goes back up in price! So excited to have a HomeGoods in the North Charleston area! I have always traveling to the Mt…read morePleasant location or West Ashley, but this one is much closer to home. The store looks great! It's eye-catching, decorative, and if you don't stick to your list you will definitely spend all of your money. The store was crowded which I totally expected, but it was hard to find a salesperson to help me with what I needed. When I did find someone, actually two salespersons, one seem very friendly and the other look like she was bothered. I asked for the item that I was looking for and the older sales person, that looked bothered, instantly stated, "No, I don't believe we sell that". The younger sales person said, "Yes, we do sell things like that because this is HomeGoods. Would you like for me to show you?" I said yes and she took me right where I needed to be. For this shopping trip I decided to stick with my list so after picking up my item I proceeded to the checkout. I was surprised to only see one cashier, but another one came up after seeing the line. I'm looking forward to shopping here more often because there were several items I had to turn away from so I could stick to my budget. I'm giving this a four-star because of the lack of help and the salesperson who wasn't helpful on the floor and wasn't very friendly.

This is the very first time I've ever written a bad review on anyone or anything but after…read morereceiving numerous advice advising me to do so I decided to do so. I was a diehard HomeGoods shopper in fact the majority of my home is furnished by HomeGoods. I went into the store (Dorchester Rd)August 27th and purchased several items including a large picture frame-when I got home I felt it didn't work well with my decor so I decided to return it to HomeGoods the next day. As stated before I'm a loyal shopper and had numerous receipts so I brought in all necessary receipts for proof of purchase. I also use the email and print receipt app. I was greeted at the register by two very nice (female) associates they tried to assist me but after several attempts they called the manager Chris. The associates explained to him what was going on and they didn't understand why the receipt kept coming up as transaction already refunded. Chris told them because I had already been refunded(he then starts yelling at me in a crowded store )'you're not getting your money back . I know he couldn't take my word for it so I explained that they were two employees(on the date of my purchase),I described them and how one of them was so kind to help me put it in my car trunk, I know he couldn't stop and get in contact with them right then and now but when they returned to work. My reasoning was they could at least let him know I didn't take it and that I paid by cash. I must say I didn't like the way he was speaking to me so I said I don't steal!!!!!Chris goes I'm not going to contact them and you're not getting your money back. (yelling) I saw that the situation was going to escalate so I got my receipts and the items back and left the store. While loading up my trunk I looked at my receipts and apparently he missed looking at one of the receipts-the one with the transaction. I went back into the store and asked for him ,so he could see that I was telling the truth , he looked at the receipt and saw I was right and instead of apologizing he blamed it on the cashier saying she didn't show him the receipt or let him know there was an email receipt. I thanked the two ladies that tried to help me and let them know it wasn't their fault., I also let them know I would be returning all the items purchased the next day and not shop at HomeGoods again. It saddens me that I must do so because I had planned to purchase a large giraffe statue for over $500.00 after Labor Day. I truly am heartbroken that I can't purchase it but the way I was treated I would be rewarding bad behavior. I also wanted to start a registry for someone who just purchased a new home but I won't!!! BUT WHAT I WILL DO IS LET EVERYONE KNOW WHAT I EXPERIENCED AND ADVISE THEM TO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HOMEGOODS!!!!! I know some stores policies allow audio or video recording in their stores. If so please look at the tape(s) I believe you will see I told no lies. # disappointing

I haven't had much luck with dress shopping and felt a little defeated but something told me to make an appointment. I found an opening on Friday and went in with little expectations. Needless to say, I left with a wedding dress that fit me perfectly. Neely and another lady helped select some dresses for me to which I was open to trying various styles but also they respected my concern for alteration costs and budget.. Neely took great care of me. She's professional, kind, honest, and shared some neat tidbits about formalwear. The shop is size inclusive and carry a range of prices for your budget. My dress came with a protective carrying bag and sturdy wood hanger. They offer military discount for active duty and vets. You don't have to pay for an appointment or give your credit card to schedule one. Appointments can easily be made online. I'll recommend this shop to future brides in a heartbeat!

BEWARE OF THIS STORE! My daughter fell in love with a dress at Ash & T's.Unfortunately, after we…read morebought the dress and while we were shopping for all the accessories, she realized the dress was damaged. We went back to the store to ask the owner to make it right. She immediately told us she didn't even remember us coming in just a few hours before. We proceeded to further explain the problem with the dress and ask for a partial refund to help pay for the work our seamstress would have to do to fix it.The owner immediately told us that all the dress she was selling with this mesh material were tearing like this.So I questioned why she was still selling them. She stated that she didn't even know she had another dress like this.(We tried on two dresses with this material by the way.)So she told us she would order us a new dress that would probably do the same thing or refund our money and go home with no dress. My daughter loved this dress and it was too close to her prom to search for this particular dress,so I bit the bullet and kept the dress. But I've learned some lessons and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. First and foremost, PRAY FOR THIS OWNER.She swore on the lives of her "children and grandchildren(with her hand raised to the sky) that she was not taking advantage of me."As a business owner, you should never bring your family and their lives into a business transaction.Clearly, we were taken advantage of because she would have never had to "swear on the lives of her family" to try and appease me.Also, she would've remembered us from earlier that day if we truly mattered to her business and even if she didn't remember us, she should've never told us that. She also would've made every effort to satisfy us so that we would return again. Two, DO NOT SHOP ASH & T's FORMALS! The store name clearly states what will happen. You will have ASHes in your wallet for the amount of money they are going to burn you for and T, Trash to take home!Three, DO YOUR RESEARCH!Don't just check these Google reviews.Check Yelp. Check the SC Better Business Bureau too(this business is listed as a children's clothing store and not a formal wear shop). The reviews are not good on the children's clothing shop either, by the way.Four, FOR GOODNESS SAKES, CHECK THE DRESS OUT WELL BEFORE BUYING IT FROM THIS STORE!They do not allow you to help fit the dresses(and I understand why). However, be careful because they are quick to rush you in, get your money, and send you on your way.

Overall, it's pretty darn close in terms of products and prices of that big blue place that starts with "L." But what I think sets them apart is customer service. The employees are always more than willing to assist while knowing where everything is as if it's the back of their hand. Walking in the place is stunningly clean, as if no soul has ever dared soil the floors or leave one product out of place. I did see a person cleaning the floor and another restocking shelves when I dropped by after an early church service but they weren't in the way at all. Overall, HD has a pretty efficient business going on. As for what to buy, I was after a light bulb changer extender and couldn't find it. I asked for help and it was one isle over! Doh! Oh and I checked online before dropping by so their PoS (point of sale) system is very accurate between the web and store. After retrieving my bounty, I wondered around. I had to stop by the Tregaer grill...... oh buddy if I already didn't have a Webber and a smoke box, I'm not sure I would have left with only one product in hand. Moreover, they had a lot of grilling accessories which made me drool! I'm not going to carry this review out for sake of having a long review. Home Depot is a little bit better than that other place. My advice is if you have home improvement needs, stop by here first. They have that "IT" factor which I really appreciated.
