We live out by Lake Kachess WA. Not an easy trip but when I contacted Comfort Pros Casey made it easy. He came right out and assessed our furnace situation. It was determined that our system had burned mother boards as well as our heat pump caused by having no surge protection. He explained the benefits of a new, more reliable energy efficient system with a 10 year warranty. The installation was effortless and his whole team was very efficient and reliable. I have bought a mini split system samsung still under warranty, have some problems over 2 months ago, I have insisted to get it repair, to the point he had told me im on my own hes not going to repair my system. he has no knowledge of the system he has even search youtube videos, he said is thru samsung warranty, he's been waiting for samsung tech to call back. Woke up on a Saturday morning to a house that was 56 degrees and our furnace blowing cold air. Super. Called two places- the first wanted $140 just to come take a look. Luckily I got ahold of Casey who came out within a couple of hours. Casey was focused, professional, and very respectful of my home. Two weeks ago I discovered my 25+ year old heat pump/AC wasn't working at our short-term rental property in Packwood, WA. With high temperatures forecasted and guests scheduled to arrive the following week, I starting making calls to see what my options were and how I could get the issue resolved. After many calls to other HVAC companies, non of which could get out to our property for a service call for 2-3 weeks out, I lucked out and got Casey. Although he doesn't typically service Packwood he still listened, offered help and was and was extremely responsive. He recommended replacing rather than trying to work on such an okay piece of equipment. He also had a finance option to offer me and three days later, he was installing our new heat pump. Casey is amazing! We've been struggling with smoke coming into our house for a couple days now. Couldn't find the leak on our own. I called Casey and he walked me through all the different places to check. He didn't have the availability to come to my house till Wednesday, so he was extra thorough in his trouble shooting descriptions. One of the places he mentioned was exactly where the problem was. just now I had my electric hot water heater replaced with a tankless gas hot water heater by Casey with comfort pros. There was multiple communication errors that lead to many inconveniences for me. After the installation he didn't have a thorough enough inspection to realize he didn't have a seal in place and left me with a brand new hot water heater that would spill water everywhere and even though he was informed of the problem hours later it wasn't resolved for days. He left me days with a useless hot water heater that he had installed right then. I'm starting to believe that he had never done anything like this before, also curious that for a company that has been around for so long they would have only 18 reviews. I explained everything here and more in great detail to Casey in an email and his response was "sorry you feel that way". Now only a few weeks after the installation my hot water heater is leaking from a new place. I'm not going to bother with having them repair it and I'm going to have to pay a different company to fix their mistakes. I would avoid this place at all cost. Edit: the reply is a great example of the company not being able to take responsibility. It was a gasket that needed to be put in place, all gaskets and seals should be checked. It was a simple fix that could have been caught with better attention to detail. read more

I had a furnace and heat pump installed by Comfort Pros. I think overall they have the ability to do a good job, but are understaffed. The other problem is that it is a small family business and it is run just like a...small family business. This company almost exclusively used contractors to do all the work. Just about everything that could go wrong did...there was a faulty electrical pump installed, which eventually failed to remove condensation and caused my ceiling to crash and fall down, and could have injured the occupants of the house. Comfort Pros position is that the faulty pump was not their fault - true. However, I question that such an important piece of equipiment is not regularly checked in th first couple weeks of use - as a service item - because it's failure could cost lives and property damage. There is no followup. Also, because they use contractors, we had a contractor repairing the ceiling from the faulty pump interpose himself between me and Comfort Pro and pretend to each one of us that he was hired by the other. Again, not Comfort Pro's fault, however, they once again showed no followup - who did they think was doing the work, and why were they not calling the contractor every day to make sure the repair on the faulty pump error was going well? Again, not good follow through. Lastly, this company offered me $150 payments every month after a substantial down payment on the new furnace and heat pump. Nothing was said about interest, and I didn't think about interest. (Not very well drawn up contract.) A year into the agreement, Casey Thaxton asked me to refiance and pay off the balance. It is the WAY it was done that was offensive to me. When asking didn't help, they made an emotional plea that it was the "right thing to do" even though I was making all the payments - and more - as agreed. Very nonprofessional. Then, this last week, after multiple emotional emails back and forth which started with questions about the finance charge and simple wording on an invoice , they said they were turning me over to collection for the unpoaid balance. Really, it was a fight between husband and wife, because I was told I should have never been offered payments. The wife said that I really wasn't even due "administrative" items because my acct was not paid in full (which is was not supposed to be.) Casey Thaxton said my bullet points on facts was "BS" and therefore he would turn me over to collection. True, I wasn't being an easy "roll over" customer. :) If you use this company, expect true professionalism and the start, not good follow through, and discrepant information and understaffing. Oh, and don't expect them to take responsibility for their equipment and contractors, if something goes wrong, you can expect they will ALWAYS blame others, although they will try to make it right. read more
