We stayed 5 days. Twice we asked for clean towels and an extra blanket and were told both times that they didn't have any to provide. The breakfast was decent, but the area was not clean. The pool was designed for small kids - we were 2 adults and 3 teens so did not enjoy it. Also the water was greenish brownish. There was a wedding on Saturday and by Monday, there were still rose petals all over the floor in the main hallway and all of the trashcans in the public areas were still overflowing. Price was very reasonable. No surprises. Breakfast was what one would expect as were the rooms. Front desk staff were friendly. On the downside, the maid staff never visited our room during our 3 night stay. In addition we had a vanity light that was out which we reported on Friday and Saturday mornings and on Sunday when we checked out on Sunday and mentioned it again, we were informed that they only have maintenance staff Monday through Thursday. read more

The stay was wonderful. Room was wonderful. I'll never be able to look at a shower the same way again. 7 Jets of pure bliss. It was the best and most frequent shower I have ever taken. The food at 1951 was super tasty. Enjoyed on several occasions over the weekend and of course, no pictures. All delicious though. For real. All of the friendly staff are taking COVID precautions with masks, & hand sanitizers. No, there were no unfriendly staff, in case you were wondering. My hubby and i here overnight with our friends for our pilgrimage to Our Lady of Hope shrine in Champion Wi. There are not much hotels in the area. We're glad we chose this place. The room was spacious enough and comes with coffeemaker and mini fridge. Room was a little dated with cracks on the sink but it was clean. Comes with free continental breakfast. Staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. They also have an indoor heated swimming pool which unfortunately we didn't have time to use. read more

It was not enjoyable and when we were swimming and having fun all of a sudden turned off the water for no reason when it wasn't even close to closing time, then a rude lady came into the waterpark saying it was closed at 9 o'clock, even though it was open till 10! She was incredibly rude saying"GET OUT" front desk was not responsible and incredibly rude to us the whole time we asked a question like where was our room the room smell horrible the couches were hideous. My family of 6 stayed here on a weeknight in July. The hotel was very reasonably priced for rooms and amenities. Our family of 6 easily fit in a double queen suite with pull out bed. Some hotels don't allow 6 in a room or give a huge up charge when you need a room to fit 6 , and that drives me crazy . There was no upcharge here, which I appreciate having 4 young kids. The room was spacious and beds were incredibly comfortable with clean ultra soft bedding. Bathroom was clean and basic. The room also had large desk, large tv, coffee maker, microwave, fridge. Free breakfast had bacon, eggs, pastries, waffles, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal. Pool area was almost empty and had my kids entertained for hours. We will definitely be back read more

My coworkers and I stayed here during our business trip to our office in Green Bay. The hotel had a complimentary airport pickup service so when I arrived I called and someone was there to pick me and a few others up within minutes of arriving. The staff was friendly and even arranged for someone to pick me up the following morning to take me to the office. My room was clean and cozy, no noisy neighbors. I opted not to use the water park but it was a nice addition. The restaurant attached to the hotel 1951 West is probably the best restaurant I have been to in Green Bay during my bi-yearly visits. I was happy that I didn't have to leave the hotel to get quality food and drinks, and I had the option of dining in or taking it back to my room. The food was delicious, the portions were large and the prices were reasonable for the quality. On our last day at the hotel I had the opportunity to try the continental breakfast which I skipped the rest of the week thinking it was a bunch of pastries and things I didn't eat. I was surprised that they had a guy who made omelets to order and mine was scrumptious. Next time I am in Green Bay for work I am definitely requesting this hotel. read more

Bleach, bleach, and yet.....wait for it.....MORE BLEACH! How can you not see that your walls, carpets, and patrons are turning white? Without measuring, or testing, the staff came by and poured a gallon of BLEACH into the pool. This is on top of the huge amount that was already in there Kids were coughing. Parents were fighting for air. My own eyes were burning so bad I had to leave, go out into the night air (a balmy 25 degrees here) and only then, after 5 min in my swimsuit outside could I see again. If your idea of fun is a chemical bath not experienced since the troops in trenches during the First World War, this is for you! If your family members are in any way sensitive to chemicals, or if for just some twisted reason you would like to torture them, by all means have at it! Comfort Suites is a fine option for staying in Green Bay during the Packer Games. I'm assuming you're here for the game, because there's nothing else going on in Green Bay! Rooms are a bit small, I guess we didn't have a "suite". The beds are comfy and rooms are clean. There's a shuttle for $10 per person to the Packer games which drops you off right across the street from Lambeau at Kroll's. You also get a $5 coupon to use at the restaurant/bar afterward. But since our game was a night game the restaurant portion was closed save for pizzas. We just wanted to drink (and for free at that) and our server came by about once every two minutes to try to sell us a pizza or more drinks (that weren't free). For our money I would have skipped the shuttle in favor of parking for $15 on someone's lawn or near the stadium and tailgating; but if you're old like my folks and think driving in traffic for 20 minutes after a game is unbearable, the shuttle is for you. read more

I recently stayed at this location for a two week training session. There were some ups and downs during my stay. Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros. My check in went smooth. I had all of the information I needed and it made things very easy. They didn't take a personal credit for the first week I checked in, but did for the second. Not really a big deal, but they could have been more consistent. Some of the hallway carpeting could use some replacement. The rooms were pretty standard, with a fridge and microwave. I never made it to the pool, but they have a kid's pool and hot tub. There is also a patio area across from the pool that is appears they use for outdoor events. The only bummer is there is no tobacco use on the patio, so I couldn't smoke my cigars that I picked up on the trip. All of my issues on this stay had to do with the housekeeping. Usually I prefer my rooms cold and the fan constantly running to help me sleep. The front desk was able to tell me how to bypass the thermostat so I could get the fan running, but it still didn't run all the time. I was irritated that one day when I came back from class that my thermostat had been taken from 67 degrees to 72. I also placed the "please change sheets" card on my bed, only to come back and see my bed not made and the sheets not changed. Not only did this happen once but it happened two days in a row. I actually had to call the front desk to have someone come change them. Since I was staying there a week, I just wanted to have them changed in the middle of the week. Epic fail by the housekeeping department. There were also 3 times that my bathmat towel was not replaced along with some towels on some nights not being replaced. The saving grace is the breakfast. They have made to order omelets as well as hot scrambled eggs, waffles, a choice of meat and your usual hotel breakfast options. It was very good. I did stop at the attached restaurant twice (see separate review). Also, the WI-FI is extremely slow. I mean turtle slow. I had to rely on my mobile signal more than the WI-FI. All in all, there are probably better options in Green Bay but if you are on a budget and aren't staying for a long stay, it's a good option because of the breakfast. read more

We stayed in this hotel in July; clearly we were not in town for a Packer game. There were two weddings in the hotel the night we stayed there, but I only knew this because I saw the signs outside the ballroom entrances as we were leaving. The employee who checked us in was the friendliest hotel staffer I have seen in a looong time. She set the tone for our stay in a very nice way. There is a water 'attraction' that is perfectly adequate. It is much smaller than the pictures lead me to believe (this is my own fault, I should know better by now) and was a huge hit with our children (ages 8, 5, and 1). The room itself (we got a double queen suite) was very nice with a mini fridge, microwave, and sink outside of the bathroom (there was also a sink in the bathroom, of course). My only complaint was that once I stood in the shower and closed the curtain it was really dark, but that seems nitpicky (though if I'd had to shave my legs like that there might have been a real problem). Well, and also the information binder was out of date (the Lambeau Field phone number was old, and the Bay Beach ride cost information was old). The continental breakfast was impressive. There was a waffle maker (with regular and strawberry batter), donuts (cake and raised), yogurt, juice, coffee (decaf and two kinds of regular), milk (skim and 2%), cereal, very moist scrambled eggs, sausage, and likely more that I am forgetting. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again. read more

We stopped as part of a bus tour of religious sites. The staff made the stay. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and accomodating. We didn't book the room ourselves so we didn't know about the water attraction, but ended up using the water pool and had a great time!! The room arrangement we had was a little strange. This is a great value. I stayed in one of the larger suites (the staff described it as an Executive Suite) and found that the room that I booked was larger than I expected. I probably wouldn't rent this exact room type again unless I was bringing family or friends with me. This suite also had the "Rain Shower" in the bathroom instead of a combination tub/shower. This feature is really cool! It is a custom-built 3' x 6' tiled room. In addition to a standard angled shower head, there is three shower heads mounted vertically on the wall and five shower heads mounted on the ceiling. These three zones are controlled by an electronic control. Additionally, there is a waterproof television mounted on the wall opposite the shower heads with a waterproof remote and stereo waterproof speakers. I also asked the front desk staff for a recommendation on movie theaters and they recommended one based on experience and advised a specific route to get there before showtime. I only regret that I didn't arrive there with enough time to utilize the pool facility. I passed by and it looks like there are a lot of water park fixtures in the pool area. So I may make sure to bring nieces and nephews with me. read more

Staying here with the kiddos on our annual summertime trek to the Upper Peninsula, MI. Needed a place to call home for two nights that would allow mom to work remotely and dad to drive to DePere office while doubling as a fun couple of days for the tiny humans in our party! The price was great, thanks Priceline, and the water park area has been a huge success. As we are celebrating the youngest in our fabulously Southernized slightly travel battle-weary family, this weekend is all about HER. As she has not hesitated to share with literally everyone we have encountered since leaving Kentucky. This hotel that dad found (mom approved) is right up her sassy lil' birthday princess alley! The complimentary breakfast included STRAWBERRY waffles (obviously for HER as they're her "most favorite breakfast ever") made-to-order cheese omelettes (again, especially for HER) assorted danish, bagels, breads, cereals, donuts, yogurts, fresh fruits, and other breakfast necessities such as BACON and apple juice...did I mention they had bacon?! Our room, meh, really what's there to say about inexpensive hotel rooms? It's clean, there's a bed, decent enough bathroom, mini-fridge and my shoes aren't sticking to the carpet (still not taking them off - just ew) but really I don't ask for much at this price. You get what you pay for and frequent travelers should already know this. I will therefore overlook the cloying smell of chlorine that has permeated the halls and our room which conveniently overlooks the splash park *ugh* as well as the paper thin walls. Bottom line, the water park area makes up for those minor inconveniences. Happy kids = happy mom. read more

Standard continental plus hot eggs and sausage. The hotel itself is outdated and staff at front desk were average at best. Hotel was not what I expected... We were here for New Years and apparently there was a wedding there that night as well. We expected there to be some noise until around 1am, and when I say a security guard walking the floors I figured it would definitely calm down. I don't know what happened to that security guard because starting around 2am there were what sounded like 4 or 5 girls actually racing around the hallways, seriously even heard them saying "ready, set, go". Then there was a loud bass noise just randomly shaking the room for the next hour or so. The "water park" is a joke also. The best part is the hot tub, other than that the slide is built for kids and is not much fun for adults. The water basketball area is oddly designed and I saw a few people running into each other playing on the 2 baskets they have placed randomly at the edge of the pool. Overall not worth the 2 night minimum they make you purchase if you are in town on a Packers weekend. read more

I don't know how the stake house is. I didn't eat there. However I can tell you their hotel has its positives and negatives. I was gone all day for work. Come back and the room is hot as hades because of a censer that only allows the ac to be on when someone is in the rm. not cool when it is over 80 outside with a high humidity. For 150 a night for a presidential suite, I'm a big fan. We stayed there on a non-game night (family in town from California) to tour Lambeau Field because they wanted to tour the stadium. First, it was one of the 3 hotels we tried that had a pool open on a Tuesday (the other 2 had the pool/water parks closed on Tuesdays. Rather random). The good: friendly staff, huge room (we had the 2 presidential suites, both presidential suites had pull out couches in separate rooms, fake fireplaces, 2 large TVs, bar area, large bathrooms with really nice large showers and a dining table) The waterpark isn't huge but the kids we were with (2, 10, 13 and 15) had a really good time). My 2 year old LOVED the slide and went down it about 100 times. I went down with her a bunch and it was fun. The pool part isn't huge but you can swim in it and I did. The hot tub was plenty big for all the people there and it seemed clean. The breakfast was fantastic. They had a waffle maker, scrambled eggs and sausage, yogurt, all kinds of bread, a really nice selection of doughnuts, hard boiled eggs, all kinds of milk and cereal, fruit in a bowl, and a guy making great omelets with lots of fresh veggies, ham, bacon cheese (he was really friendly too). I haven't ever seen a "continental" breakfast for free that nice, EVER. Well done. The not as good: The room could have used some new wall paper and maybe some paint. It's pretty clear this place is crazy and really packs them in on game weekends. That said, the room, water park, and general bathroom area in the water park were clean. read more

i had read reviews and looked at pictures before booking at comfort suites.. everything looked good.. shortly after booking, a relative had posted saying that they had stayed at a comfort suites in chicago and had ended up getting lice.. they had said to not stay at ANY comfort suites.. given that we are unable to cancel (and not that i would have), i told myself that i did my research, this is a different location and that we would be just fine.. we would never know until we try it out for ourselves.. well, everything was great! i would recommend staying here if you're ever in green bay.. check in was very fast.. the place is big (enough that they ask if you would like a map).. our room was a great size.. the only thing is that it didn't have a coffee table.. the wow factor was the shower.. it was a gigantic walk in shower with shower heads allover and a tv in the stall.. it was our first time ever having that so it was definitely a treat.. we made sure to use it.. our window faced the back area where the courtyard is.. it was beautiful.. wished we took advantage of the courtyard.. the waterpark was a fair size (we did not use).. you do get wristbands at the front desk upon check in, if you plan on entering the pool area.. we had asked if we could buy wristbands for non guests.. they had said that weekends are free for guests only while non-guests can use it during the weekdays at a cost.. one thing we were a little confused about is that it stated saying there was hot breakfast but noticed it was a continental breakfast only.. the only hot item were waffles.. either way we still took advantage of it.. they have several banquet/meeting rooms.. one of them was decorated already for a wedding so that was cool to see.. it's a busy place but comforting at the same time.. the elevator was always busy so we took the stairs which was 10x faster.. i would definitely stay at this place again in a heartbeat.. read more

Great experience! The room was a deal -- presidential suite for $150 a night. It was bigger than many apartments, with a living room, dining area with six-person dining table, and bedroom. The little people loved the TVs in the rain shower and bathroom mirror. My only complaint is its "window" overlooked an interior conference area, so it was dark. Staff was great -- they even came up and made up the pull-out beds when we were at dinner. The included breakfast was phenomenal, with an omelette station, eggs, sausage, pastry, cereal, yogurt, even a waffle maker. The "water park" was great for the younger kids but any over 11 will likely be unimpressed. read more

Cute hotel with new upgrades. New carpet and wall paper throughout (except for the lobby). Nice size rooms, with a continental breakfast. Breakfast is pretty good with made to order omelets and waffles. The Splash Waterpark is fun for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary aged kids.
