To start with I was traveling and knowing I had a pet traveling with me I called ahead to clarify the pet policy. I was quoted a price and I confirmed with the individual who took my reservation that the price quoted included the pet fee. The person stated, "yes, all fees included". So imagine my surprise and anger when I arrived at the property that graciously took my money right out of my account l, they wanted to charge my card again for a pet fee. So now I feel I have been misguided by the person who took the reservation and I am extremely upset about this but my experience isn't over. No, I explicitly asked for a King room and the waste of oxygen working the front desk assigned me to a double queen. When confronted about this faux paux the clerk tried to call the manager on duty who evidently keeps bankers hours and doesn't understand what the term "on duty" means which he replies nothing he could do and I could take it up with management in the morning. Well the saga continues. So now thoroughly pissed we go up to the room and try to get comfortable. Well these beds are mounted on metal frames and evidently the maintenance staff doesn't know what lubricants are and both beds squeaked incessantly all night everytime someone moved in the bed. Needless to say I didn't get any sleep. So about 4 in the morning after a miserable night. I left without the benefit of letting management know how incredibly unprofessional this place is. I am a member of several veterans groups and I assure you I will be sharing my critique with everyone in those groups to prevent them from making the mistake of staying at any property managed by Choice hotels. read more

Brand new! Comfy bed, very quiet even though you're close to the interstate!! Great customer service!! Right off i40 and close to several restaurants. If you like Buccee's, you'll love staying here and being a tiny drive away! We'll definitely be back! read more

If I hadn't have booked on-line with a non-refundable price... I'd have left in search of a room that didn't make me feel dirtier upon leaving. I had a late check in bc of a wedding I was in town for so when I got there it was posted NO VACANCY. The bathroom was disgusting. Mold was in the tub corners, the bottom half of the tub granite was discolored, mold on the ceiling, and the door was warped and peeling. The room itself smelled musty and was in a general state of rundown. When I advised the staff at the desk - they said they'd tell housekeeping. I informed them that it wasn't necessarily a housekeeping issue but a general state of disrepair.. to which she said she'd also tell maintenance. But I'm sure the room is rented out tonight to another unsuspecting soul! Based on this experience - I feel the need to leave all of my belongings outside for a week just-in-case anything crawled inside. read more

This was hands down one of the best Choice Hotels we've stayed at and we've stayed in a LOT of these hotels in the last 8 years. The rooms were clean, beds nice and comfortable, pillows just the right softness/hardness, plenty of towels, wash clothes and the complimentary soap actually smelled NICE! But the very BEST part of this stay was dealing with the front end desk auditors. Each and every one of them were friendly, thoughtful, kind, understanding, very polite and competent. They actually cared about each and every guest and went over and beyond. The atmosphere here was relaxing and fun; the outdoor seating area is perfect for morning coffee and watching the sun rise. The breakfast was beyond what you'd normally expect; they have a mother and daughter running the kitchen and there wasn't a single thing we didn't like, from the waffles to the coffee, how clean everything was at ALL times, even during the rush hours - we can't say enough about how wonderful they did and how great the food was. Thank you Vicky, Donna, Diane, Dale and I'm sure I'm missing someone - but thank you to everyone working there; you made our first family vacation in years something fun and special, so much so that we bailed out on Washington D.C. to come back to you for the remaining days and we will certainly come back each time we go to the Smokey's. We've already told several family and friends to stay there and we can't wait to see y'all again! read more

Updated a few months later: Kenneth (coincidentally the bearded guy I earlier referenced) the night auditor gave us a great deal and rate due to travel drama we experienced with a Budget rental moving truck (note see my Love's truck stop review). We were able to check in at 5:30 am with a very late checkout. And the breakfast lady reminded us to come get bacon and eggs at 6 am. Room is awesome again (instead of the not so great accessible one from before). We love this hotel and would stay here instead of GBurg or PF proper. Updated two days later: second stay in the same week was three stars so overall 4. We had a king accessible room this time (I may have accidentally booked it). Room smelled dank and moldy. Bathroom was horrible - can't imagine how a handicapped person would have done much better unit. One sink, dim lighting, handheld shower with a curtain too short. Couldn't get under the nozzle and water went everywhere. Steam set off smoke detector....otherwise, still clean, quiet, good breakfast and great service. Guy with the beard at front is awesome - saw him both visits. I'm giving this location 5 stars in comparison to other similar chains. Easy to get to from I40. Gravel lot for semis, campers, etc, which is why we chose the location. Check-in easy, with coffee and ice water available. Mini pantry with reasonably priced snacks for sale. Stayed in a king "suite" on 4th floor at great rate (84 total!!). Their suites are really same size as regular hotel rooms, but it was clean and comfy. Bedding was great. Shower hit with good pressure. Toiletries a step up from some places. Breakfast was basic, but plentiful and clean. We are actually staying again later in the week since this stay was good. read more

I am very disappointed in this hotel. The staff were friendly and professional but the accommodations were substandard. Our room was worn and the furniture was way beyond its useful life. The mattress was stained, the refrigerator wood cabinet splashed with some kind of liquid that had dried, the wood on the bathroom door eroded, and the carpet was so filthy that I had to wash my feet before getting into the bed, leaving the washcloth dirty and soiled. I was so uncomfortable and couldn't wait to leave the next morning. I recommend you pass this hotel by. read more

Do not stay here. This hotel is not anything like the reviews or pictures on google would show it to be. The two girls for front desk staff were rude. They just stare at you as you come in and don't even really speak to you during check-in. I was not informed about WiFi or checkout time or anything. The room was not clean and was full of scuffs and broken furniture and the bathroom full of mildew (or mold.) The bed was so old it bowed in the middle. Definitely wasn't comfortable for me, and I'm not picky. The AC has a mind of its own and I woke up 6 or 7 times throughout the night to turn it back on. I've already contacted my travel company to request a refund. read more

The rooms are very tiny and don't look like they've been cleaned that well. When we first arrived everyone went to use the bathroom and we all agreed it wreaked of urine, no one had even used it yet. We then proceeded to find food crumbs in the furniture and weird stains everywhere. The lighting is also horrendous and the breakfast was TERRIBLE! Everything was gone and people were waiting for someone to bring more food out. Would not recommend. read more

Clean, comfortable hotel with great breakfast service. We stayed at Comfort Suites -Kodak as we were on the Foothills Wine trail. The hotel is in a great location, right off I-40. The lobby and dining areas were clean. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was hotter than most hotel showers. The breakfast service was outstanding. Compared to most hotels, the food was delicious. A good place to stay close to Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, Dandridge, and Douglas lake. read more

This hotel offered a good night's sleep at a reasonable rate. Breakfast, parking, and Wi-Fi were all complimentary. We arrived to a friendly member and clean room. The staff even made complimentary coffee for me when I arrived, which was awesome. I didn't mind the 20 minute drive to Pigeon Forge (traffic was easy and no windy mountain roads) in lieu of the great price and service. read more

What a disappointment! Comfort Inns are usually a good stop when traveling, but not this one. The parking lot was pitch dark at 7 pm (clerk said it was because of the time change -- At the end of January????) Then we had to walk through 4-5 people who were standing right at the entrance smoking. Much to our disappointment, one was the clerk who checked us in. I had to step back to get away from the rancid smoke smell. Our sleeping room was in dire need of updating but thankfully was relatively clean. Mark this one off the list! read more

This hotel met all of my families needs... The price was great, $99... It was super clean, the staff was all incredibly friendly, the location was great for passing through, right off the interstate, and the hot breakfast in the morning was adequate. Although, the eggs left a lot to be desired, otherwise, no complaints for a great prices hotel. read more
