The staff is so friendly and kind. Check in was easy. There are no parking fees. We stayed in room 410. The hotel room was clean and bed and pillows were comfy. No carpets. There was a microwave and a little fridge inside the room. The lobby has a little store to buy snacks or goods. There is complimentary breakfast from 6AM-10AM. The breakfast was delicious every single morning. There are so many great options to choose from. Every day there was either complimentary cookies & tea and/or popcorn and tea in the lobby and that was such a sweet treat after we'd come back in after a long day out. It was so awesome. Best tasting cookies/popcorn and tea ever. There is a pool ( it is not heated) but was still great. My kiddos used it. There is a fitness area if you need to get your workout on. This hotel had everything we needed. There were stores and food places nearby. I would stay here again. We had a great stay. He will not help or work with you at all and hides behind "the hotel's policy" but really it's his policy. Randy will send you email after email and respond to you reviews talking about how it would be unfair to other guests to help people on a case by case basis but really, that's just a screw you, I'm keeping the $200+ your charged for this room. The cancellation policy is a joke. I was 45 minutes late cancelling my reservation because our travel plans changed due to a personal family reason and Randy charged me the full rate for the room the second I hit the cancel button which was TWO DAYS before I was to check in! That's right folks, Randy here makes you cancel by 6 pm two days before you check in or he keeps your money. Sound fair? Make sure you really want to stay here before you book. He will steal your money and then respond with condescending oh I'm so sorry, we emphasize with your situation but this is the cancellation policy you agreed to when you booked and we have to be consistent and transparent because it's our policy. Yes I get there's a policy but the full cost of the room for being 45 minutes past the 6pm deadline to cancel! How about a $50 fee or NO FEE AT ALL UNLESS YOU CANCEL WITHIN HOURS AND WVEN THEN $50, NOT $221! Life happens, I couldn't avoid cancelling, did't want to cancel and I was a minutes late, not a day or a no show. Now my family is out over $200! Everyone should boycott this hotel and Randy until he changes his policy to align with most other hotels and offer a more compassionate cancellation policy in case his guests suffer something devastating like my family did.

When confronted about this faux paux the clerk tried to call the manager on duty who evidently keeps bankers hours and doesn't understand what the term "on duty" means which he replies nothing he could do and I could take it up with management in the morning. Well the saga continues. So now thoroughly pissed we go up to the room and try to get comfortable. Well these beds are mounted on metal frames and evidently the maintenance staff doesn't know what lubricants are and both beds squeaked incessantly all night everytime someone moved in the bed. Needless to say I didn't get any sleep. So about 4 in the morning after a miserable night. I left without the benefit of letting management know how incredibly unprofessional this place is. I am a member of several veterans groups and I assure you I will be sharing my critique with everyone in those groups to prevent them from making the mistake of staying at any property managed by Choice hotels.

The sink faucet was broken, there were no lamps--only one light in the far corner of the room--making it difficult to see. The window blinds were damaged and uneven, offering very little privacy. The carpet was worn and threadbare, and the TV cables were hanging out of the wall, which raised safety concerns. We arrived late and the hotel was fully booked, so we weren't able to request a different room. Otherwise, we would have done so immediately. Overall, the room felt neglected and in serious need of maintenance. Based on this experience, I would caution others before booking here and would not choose to stay again."

**1 Star - Nightmare Stay Despite Great Location**…read more While the proximity to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg was perfect, this hotel was a disaster. **The Room Shuffle:** We changed rooms FIVE times in under 24 hours due to: - Room 1: Rain leak from roof (top floor) - Room 2: Ants everywhere between the beds - Room 3: A lizard (4th floor!) - Room 4: Shower only had scalding hot or ice cold - no middle setting - Room 5: Finally acceptable, but weak water pressure **Ongoing Issues:** - Every refrigerator was dented/scratched - Missing fixtures (wall brackets with no pictures, missing hairdryer) - Broken light fixtures in multiple rooms - Mold issues (friend had allergic reactions in 2 of 3 rooms we slept in) - Indoor pool so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom - Outdoor pool closed while others in area were open - Minimal housekeeping (beds made, towels changed, but no actual cleaning) - Spills left on floors for 24+ hours **Staff Response:** Front desk staff tried to help and were professional, but the GM (Rick) never showed up despite three attempts to meet him and never called. Was offered a suite upgrade (only king bed - traveling with friend) or extra day (couldn't extend stay). Final compensation: $25 total. **Bottom Line:** Great location, comfortable beds, but unacceptable conditions. Will never stay at La Quinta/Wyndham properties again or book through Priceline. **Note:** Their own website won't allow me to post a review, so I'm sharing my experience here.
