So gross. The lobby was recently renovated but maybe they should have used that money on cleaning. I couldn't even use the bathtub. The shower had mold and green growth. There were spiders everywhere which I would have guessed as I was checking in the gal had a bottle of the ortho bug spray in her hand. And I don't think the floor in my room has ever been mopped. When I say gross I mean so gross I won't give the details gross. And yes I told front desk about tub And was informed the cleaning staff was gone for day. Ick. Ick ick. read more

Bed was a disaster IMO! Bed sheets would not say on mattress they kept popping off because the bed is worn out! Nothing like sleeping with your wife and both of you end up in the middle of the mattress feeling like you're in a taco! I will update more when my stay is done. Well it gets better! No hot water for my shower......are you serious! The two things I look forward to when at a hotel is the bed and the shower and they failed on both! So the two stars are for the amazing employees that were doing what they could !! As far as the room, I couldn't say the same. Furniture was dated and sliding door to the shower was installed oddly. My boys came across a random pill when trying to use the pull out. There weren't enough towels for my Fam. Tv channels didnt work .. Went there a little over a year ago and it was badly outdated. Felt like I was at an old hotel from the 70s.

This place is an absolute SHIT HOLE!!! I made reservations for 2 rooms almost a month ago and paid in advance. When I made the reservations I was told check-in was at 3:00 PM. We got there at about 3:30 PM and were told one of the rooms was not ready . We went to the room that was ready and waited. This room smelled bad. There was mold and pubic hair in the shower. An hour and a half after we first checked in the second room was still not ready and we had to leave so we told the desk we want to cancel the room and expect a refund. They refused. Several phone calls with the reservation company and hotel management just got us the runaround. read more

Our original hotel overbooked and we called here at 1am looking for a room. They had one and I was so thankful. We got there and the gentlemen that was working was wonderful, he was very pleasant and we were at ease that we made a great choice at the 11th hour. The next morning I went to make the bed as we werent going to have service done in the room and while making the bed there was a bed bug going full speed across the bed. I went to the front desk and the woman there was not the least bit sympathetic. Her response - we can put you in another room but until the exterminator comes Monday or Tuesday to check for proof, there is nothing we can do. I was like oh I shouldnt have flushed it then? Ok well now I am not staying here for another night what needs to be done and she says nothing. I ran into one of the house keepers in the elevator, not realizing who she was and she was more sympathtic than the desk clerk. I saw her behind the desk when I checked out telling the clerk what I said. I get that there are bedbugs at places, but this clerk acted as if it was nothing new nor surprising. And when she finally got me a business card with the GM's info whereever she reached into, she pulled her hand back fast and her comment was oh that was a big one- a big one what?? The lady in the bandana started yelling at me when all I asked whether or not we had to pay to check in at 11a versus 2p. They lied earlier and said they could do a 2p checkin for free rather than for an extra $35. Then they tried to hustle us and say that it was $120 for an 11a checkin, which isn't even the group rate of $89 for another night. Once I pointed it out, they said they could do $89. This place is pretty horrible looking. Makes me never want to come to Indiana again. read more

Was immediately greeted with a friendly staff upon check in, which was much appreciated after a 16 hour drive from Fort Worth, Texas to Fort Wayne, Indiana. The atmosphere was so nice that I immediately booked a second night. The room was well air conditioned, clean and all of the electronics worked, which already put it in the lead above other nameless hotel chains that I've stayed at in the past. Easily one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! Complimentary breakfast in the morning was the perfect way to start my day. Even though all I wanted was a bagel, a banana and a yogurt because I'm a creature of habit-there was a relatively large selection of breakfast food. Tables were constantly bussed and the dining area was kept clean by a very friendly member of the staff who made pleasant conversation with me as I mocked an infomercial on the TV. All members of the staff were very friendly and professional. The orange juice from the machine was surprisingly delicious, had to keep going back for more. There was a pool available although I didn't have a long enough stay to justify using it. During my two day stay I observed no less than 3 cars with some variation of "Just Married" written on the back windshield which I feel speaks volumes to the level of comfort that Comfort Suites provides. read more

We've stayed one night here in this hotel while traveling on wheels to the Mississippi gulf coast with my mother. I really liked the suite. It was like brand new, and it had a comfortable couch, an HD TV, and stuff that looks brand new. The indoor pool was extremely warm, with just the perfect temperature setting in the pool. The one problem in the pool room is something dripping into the pool from the ceiling. Perhaps the roof is leaking due to snow, and it needs to be checked. I had a good night's sleep in bed, and I'm clearly satisfied with the complimentary breakfast. We might come back some time soon when we're in Fort Wayne. read more

Stayed at hotel while on vacation here in Indiana. The staff was courteous and welcoming. Our room was clean and well prepared. Staff was quick and responsive to our requests. The hotel was overall well maintained and clean. The establishment is centrally located amongst other businesses and restaurants in the area with close highway access. We did not experience any noise or disturbance issues from other guests (probably due to luck). The pool was warm, clean and in working order along with the sauna and gym. I didn't use the gym while I was there, so I can not rate what it was like. We slept well and the wife was happy. I guess that is what matters most, lol! Overall a great experience! read more

Nice, clean room. Whirlpool tub was nicer than I expected. Didn't get up in time for the continental breakfast. Negatives...The bed was very uncomfortable. My girlfriend was not able to sleep all night. Also, there was a very cold draft coming in from under the furnace/air conditioning unit. And lastly, it was impossible to maintain a comfortable temperature in the room. The "fan" blew out cold air. So we tried putting it on "heat low" and then turning the knob to the area where the hot hits the cold, it just blew out hot air. They really should just upgrade to the wall thermostat so guests can set it on their desired temperature and be comfortable. I would stay at this hotel again in a season other than winter, and if they updated the mattresses. read more

The hotel is clean & I had a spacious room with access to a rooftop lounge area! The room was very comfortable and the hotel staff went out of their way to make sure I enjoyed my stay. Nicest hotel from the choice hotels group I've stayed in. Once you enter the hotel you can see they take pride in this location. They had a prize wheel at check in for members and a nicely stocked store corner near check in. The room smelled extremely clean (cleaning products- note NOT a complaint at all I like being assured it is clean) upon walk in, the room is updated and the bed is comfy. We stayed in a king suite (?) with a half wall couch and walk in tub in the bathroom. The "balcony" rooms are really cool. It's a huge balcony that the rooms connecting all share, it overlooks the parking lot and shopping center. Even location for this hotel is pretty amazing, like 10+ food places and tons of stores within walking distance. Will stay at this location next time I'm in town. read more

I spent my birthday weekend in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and stayed at Comfort Suites on Coventry. I got there Friday, February 24th, and left for a while. Saturday, we went to take advantage of the jacuzzi tub, and the water would only stay hot below the jets. The water became cold, and we had to leave out of the tub as we could not take advantage of that amenity. On Sunday, we went to take a shower, and there was no hot water at all. We complained to the front desk, and they stated that the health department requires them to keep the water temperature at a certain level, and upon their checking that morning, the water was fine. The front desk only made excuses.. We immediately purchased a water thermometer and found that the water temperature was below the health department's standards. We shot a video and still got nowhere with the disrespectful staff member. Having an arthritic condition was the major attraction to finding this room with a jacuzzi. How awful the stay where you couldn't properly bathe. Disturbing! read more

CURRENTLY UNDERGOING A TWO-YEAR RENOVATION - CAVEAT EMPTOR! My wife and I stayed here on a Thursday Night after a concert at the War Memorial Coliseum. The staff never communicated they are currently undergoing a two-year renovation before a reservation was made (I wonder why?!). The building exterior looks like a hurricane blew through SW Fort Wayne, and there are construction workers walking around the lobby throughout the day. The Swimming Pool is not available, as it is being used for a material storage area. The room they gave us was not ready, as it appeared someone took a nap in the bed, and washed up with a towel in the bathroom before leaving. So, the replacement room we were given was right next door to the construction area. Naturally, we were awaken to beeping construction vehicles and pounding outside of our room around 8:15 AM. Also, the room door had a gap in it when you closed and latched it. I would say the overall condition of the room was in good condition, the Direct TV Options were above average, and the shower was nice and hot. However, I certainly would not rely on the staff to look out for you if there are rooms near heavy construction. Buyer beware! read more

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the Fort Wayne area over the years. This property is one of the nicest I have ever found! First of all, the check-in process was a breeze. I was a little concerned when I walked into the lobby behind an entire flight crew from an airline. I figured that I was in for a long wait...amazingly, I was in my room and relaxing within 10 minutes. The room itself was perfect. Very comfortable furniture. A great workspace and very roomy too. I like to workout in my room and often I have to move furniture around to make that happen. Not the case here at all! The wifi was very fast...the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a hotel and my shower had a ton of pressure and was VERY hot! There was also a free breakfast, but I chose to sleep in and did not take advantage of it this time. Add to all of this that the location is very convenient and it all adds up to a perfect stay! What a shitty experience. Apparently understaffed and no way to check in over 2 hours after check in time because "the rooms aren't ready". There were probably 25 people waiting I the lobby when we went to check in and some had been traveling over 5 hours to get to a hotel where they could not get into a room. My wife and I had dinner reservations that we could not get ready for. I did however feel bad for the young girls at the counter with no answers this is a lack of training on the hotel chains part. Trying to diffuse an angry clientele by offering g them miniature bottles of water is definitely a desperate move. They were trying to be hospitable but we're noticeably frustrated. We will not be staying at Comfort Suites again there are just to many affordable options out there. read more

Just checked out after a 2 night stay. In town for my Mother's funeral we booked 3 rooms and much to my surprise the hotel offered a funeral or bereavement discount. The discount was incredibly generous and helped significantly offset our travel costs. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly. On top of all of this the hotel left a small gift basket in our room with water and snacks and a sympathy card. Never would I have expected to receive such consideration from a hotel chain. Bed was very uncomfortable, I actually slept better on the couch. Despite the signs advertising smoke-free, we could smell cigarette smoke much of the evening, apparently being sucked in by the heater from the outside. Bill was not the rate promised at the check-in but they did make an adjustment. Hopefully that will show up on the credit card. Breakfast was sparse. One employee on a weekend morning with a full hotel trying to keep up. Overall a very disappointing stay. I haven't stayed in a Comfort hotel in a long time and now I remember why. read more

Our family stayed at this Comfort Suites for a funeral. I didn't know this, but they offer funeral rates for your stay - 50% off - which was very much appreciated. Their staff also put a couple bottles of water and a very sweet card in our room. Thank you, for this kind gesture during such a difficult time! The Comfort Suites in Fort Wayne was one of the most conveniently located and friendly hotels we've stayed in. The staff was phenomenal and accommodating during our stay! We were stationed right next to Starbucks and multiple eats! Huge non-smoking rooms with insanely soft queen beds, a fridge, microwave, and anything else you could possibly need! After a wonderful night of rest, we woke up to a breakfast that included fresh made eggs, sausage and waffles! I can tell you we'll definitely be back next time we are in Fort Wayne. A family member reserved a book of rooms for us for a family event earlier this year. We called back in March (2017) to make a reservation for 4 rooms. We received a confirmation, via both verbally on the phone with a confirmation# and email, and, as a standard, we left our phone# and email as part of the confirmation. We called to confirm the booking a few weeks prior to our reservation, all was OK. Come day of reservation, the first 2 groups arrived, they got their rooms, no issues. Third group arrived, and THERE ARE NO ROOMS FOR THEM OR US! We were the fourth group and still en-route. They say the 2 rooms had water damage and they are no longer able to accomodate us!!! What the heck?!?! As a "convenience", they booked us at Super 8, 20+ miles away, south of Ft Wayne. Reviews of the hotel showed it was pretty much a dump hotel. Obviously not the same class of hotel. We called the hotel and talked to a manager. She had no answer for us. We asked why we did not receive a phone call, an email or some kind of communication telling us about the incident so we could start looking & making prior arrangements. She had no answer for us. All she could offer us was the Super 8 room. Are you kidding me!? Horrible customer service! So here we were, en-route to the hotel, 3 hours away, with no rooms for the night. Not a single hotel left in Ft Wayne with availability, from what we were told. Luckily, I had a smart phone to start looking. My parents are part of an older generation and own classic flip phones instead of a smart phone, but luckily, I had a smart phone and was able to download a few travel apps looking for hotel rooms and calling hotels in Ft Wayne. At this time it is 8pm, and no room! Every single hotel is BOOKED SOLID! Apparently there was a big tournament in town, hence no rooms. We finally find a hotel en-route to Ft Wayne. We will NEVER, EVER be staying at this hotel ever again. What HORRIBLE customer service! I have never experienced such horrible customer service from the service industry. Furthermore, I would love to know who/how determined which person got which room since we were all part of the same party/confirmation/book. Did the hotel give our rooms to somebody else who paid more for the rooms? Or did the staff give it to a friend? We will never know! There was no sign in the hotel indicating of water damage or any issues with the hotel. Was there ever really damaged rooms? I guess we will never know. But I do know that I won't be staying at this hotel ever again. I will be contacting corporate! I would recommend to stay away. Or make sure you call frequently & the morning of to confirm. Very friendly place. With 3 boys 6,7 and 9 it was great! Pool was great and we got to sit in the sun while watching the kids in the indoor pool. Kids loved the breakfast but couldn't wait for their grab and go bag before going to the hospital. The staff took them down to the office to get a treat from the treasure chest "awesome man" was one of the boys reply. Rooms were clean, roomy and affordable. Thank you for a great time. I've seen worse, but I've also seen better. First, let me start by saying the staff at this hotel is very friendly, and accommodating. The hotel itself, however, is starting to show it's age. The first thing you notice when you pull up is the stains on the exterior. It could definitely use some updates. The lobby, and dining areas are nice, but the floor to the elevator up to our room (3rd) floor, was about 6 inches below the level of the floor of the hotel. There are a bunch of warning signs inside the elevator, and two more when you get off. When you get out into the hall, it looks nice, but there were two nasty old couches set up in the hallway. One looked like it came out of a fraternity. The room itself, was clean, but the AC unit was about to fall out of the wall. One dial was broken off, and the unit made an annoying humming sound when the compressor came on. When I closed the door on the top, the cover fell off on the floor. I managed to put it back on, but it wasn't attached very well. There was a weird odor coming from the AC unit as well. Also, one of our lamps didn't work, and neither did the provided USB charging unit on the desk. It was NOT disgusting or gross, it just needed some projects done. With a little remodeling and repair this could be a very nice hotel, especially for the price. I'm pretty picky about hotels, so the average person would probably think it was fine. I think, based mostly on the experience with the staff, I would stay there again. read more
