My family and I stayed at the Hampton Inn Ft. Wayne-Southwest, the day before our trip to Miami. We live over an hour away in Van Wert, and we had a very early 5 am flight. We did not want to miss our flight and we did not want to drive very early in the morning for such a long distance. We just needed a hotel room to crash for the night to make our flight the next morning. Hampton Inn certainly made that happened. The room was comfortable for us and we slept the night peacefully. The front desk staff is attentive and courteous. We did not try the breakfast, so we cannot opine on how good it is. Certainly a good hotel to stay at, especially if you just need a comfortable room to crash for the night.

Did you know there were hotels in the world that don't offer room service?! I did not. This location is one of them. What made this even more puzzling is the fact that they offered breakfast. Confused, perplexed, and befuddled my whole soul. Besides that, the rooms were nice. Not as modern, but clean. The staff was pleasant and very welcoming. I had a double queen, which came with a fridge and microwave (which I needed to warm up my fast food since there was no room service :-)). The hygiene products were by Neutrogena and they smelled and felt great. The in-unit air condition made it easy to adjust the room to my preferred temperature and not the ice box they originally maintained it at. The tv was about a 20-24 inch, but my television only received the news and there is only so much politics I can watch in one day. Luckily, there was FREE Wi-Fi so I just watch a movie online! This location had an in-door pool and a small gym, with two treadmills and an a elliptical. All of the entrances, including the side entrances, were accessible with your key card for your room.

I can't believe that people are rating this hotel as being clean! Our room looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a month. During times like these, I would have figured that would make businesses like this step up their cleaning services. Mold in the shower, dust everywhere and sequins on the carpet that clearly hasn't been vacuumed. Never again.

As others have mentioned, parking isn't that close, and there's a walkway between the parking garage and the hotel. Also, this Hampton Inn is right next to a Courtyard by Marriott. The staff was helpful, especially regarding our 10 pm, 12 am, and 2 am irritation from someone in the fitness center dropping the ball weights. This went on for two nights. Nothing but repeated loud thuds. Come to find out it was a bunch of kids; at that who's bright idea was to put a fitness center on thr top floor? It's a nice hotel with some minor issues. Id likely stay again, but perhaps 2-4 floors.

Well managed. Super great staff. That's an important reason we stay only at Hilton. Yes, it's an older building. It's Fort Wayne, Indiana, folks. There are no new buildings. This is clearly the best hotel if you're staying in town. That said, it is true, I expect Hilton to invest in this property to maintain brand standard. There is no better alternative nearby, but hurry up and step it up. The building is old and musty, and Hilton knows it. We stayed in the 1 bed-1bath King Suite and it's a lovely layout. Great furniture. Very clean. Once in the room, it's a Hilton Hampton Inn. Until in the room, it's Fort Wayne. The staff accommodated my family's every need. The lobby is lovely for late night work while the family sleeps and the pool is super kid friendly. Plus, nice breakfast area. I do think Hilton knows it's time to invest in the infrastructure updates. Until then, give the staff a raise. Big time. Management, front desk, and maids. Your people are making Hilton look good in an old facility. It speaks volumes for Hilton's quality of management, Conrad Hilton would be pissed about the corporate's inattention to the need for an update. Conrad would also give each of these staff members a free vacation for making him look good. I expect Hilton to act accordingly. Veritas! Harvard '24. Thanks from the family.

Glad I did. We stayed 2 nights. I had my friend and her son and my kid on the reservation but they just ate breakfast and stayed at her house so the kids could play. The breakfast was amazing!! Definitely upgrade to include breakfast. So worth it!!! When I first checked in, Ashley was at the desk and she was so nice and helpful. She explained the water situation, which didn't really end up effecting my stay but one time... but they are remodeling the floors and have to shut it off at set times during the day to remodel the bathrooms. My room was already remodeled and it looked amazing. The hotel is clean and attractive, and I didn't hear any neighbors. The beds were comfy and yes, my back thanked me for it. The shower was hot and spacious. I didn't use housekeeping because I had my pup with me and I didn't want her to bark if they came in. But they were friendly when I passed in the hall. So this place was 5 stars in my book, and everything was great. Food 5/5, room 5/5, service 5/5, Ashley 5/5... thank you for a great stay!

The woman working the front desk, Letra (spelling?) was absolutely amazing. She was always smiling, greeted us by name whenever we walked through the lobby and was just a ray of sunshine. Employees like her really do make a business. The location was great for us because we were at a convention and the convention center was right across the street. We were able to drive a short distance to go to dinner and a movie one night. The bed was very clean which I so much appreciated. I'm very very particular about things being clean. There were employees mopping and cleaning common areas throughout our stay. The shower and sink area were also clean. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that there were handprints on the walls in the hall, dust on the baseboards in the room and a big chair in the room that was made of material that would need to be cleaned instead of wiped off so for me, it was just a waste of space. If I can't clean something with my Lysol wipes, I prefer not to have it in my hotel room. I just avoided sitting there. I would recommend the hotel and if you stay and have a chance to meet Letra, you're fortunate.
