The first night, I told my wife this isn't a 5-star hotel, but it's not a 1-star either... more like a 3-star. You can tell it's dated by stains on the carpet. I can forgive stains on items that aren't easily replaceable, but towels and bedding? Not replacing these items is going to kill your sales real quick! The room was as clean as the housekeeping employees could get it; anything that looked dirty was stained and not actually dirty. The A/C worked fine; all the appliances in the room worked without issue... but I can't say that is the case for the free breakfast; don't expect coffee LOL. I recommend "Fresh Start Diner", a little diner that is within a 5-minute drive from the hotel... GREAT FOOD, AND GREAT SERVICE! A little Diamond in the rough. So, here is where we went from 3 stars to 1: Toilet seat lose (I attempted to tighten nut under and found piss all over), toilet paper holder lose (Roll fell off multiple times), Hook on back of door in bathroom falling off (Couldn't hold the weight of one towel), Paint chips behind pull out bed from ceiling where it was leaking, Freezer part of fridge had left over food in the ice, bedding was ripped and stained (sheets didn't fit the beds), pillows extremely lumpy????? BUT, here is the real kick in the face... We checked out, and within an hour we were charged additionally because the rates went up after we made and paid for our reservations. Choice Hotels said this is at the hotel's discretion to charge more if rates go up? WTF!? SERIOUSLY??? It's kinda like seeing the price on the menu and ordering steak and then getting charged more once you have eaten it because prices went up while you were chewing. How would you like reserving airline tickets 6 months in advance and then getting charged a few hundred dollars more after your trip? To be honest, I feel Twinsburg is a hole in the wall in Ohio; even their Walmart was nasty! If you plan on stopping in Twinsburg, read the reviews and pay attention to them... they're not wrong! We did visit other places in Twinsburg that were amazing, so not all hope is lost. read more

BEDBUGS!! The hallway was a bit rough - a little dirty, plasticky baseboard peeling away from the wall, etc. The carpet in our room had splotches of some crusty white substance. Fortunately, we always stick our bags in the bathroom and check the bed and sofa first thing, because for the first time ever, we found bedbug feces in the seams of the mattress. Given the state of the rest of the room and the hallway, we didn't trust any other room either, and we had to check out and find another accommodation. Comfort Suites has refused to reimburse us for the room we couldn't use, even after I contacted them. Don't stay here! If you have a problem, they will not make it right. read more

This is a pretty good hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and clean; the location decent with eating establishments within walking distance; and the staff very friendly. Price was good for this time of year. The hotel seems to have been renovated fairly recently, so everything looked in good repair. Some aspects that kept this hotel from receiving a five-star rating: 1) The breakfast was singularly low-effort. I don't care much about the breakfast, but in general the quality of the breakfast reflects on the management's attitude toward the customers. 2) The wifi was annoying; it was slow, and requires the user to reconnect every single time he wants to use it. 3) Small maintenance details that, again, show a lack of attention on the management's part. 4) The pool was closed for repair -- who waits until the summer peak to close a pool? read more

Would I stay here again? Yes. We picked this hotel for our road trip because it is dog friendly. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. They are still renovating so the pool was not available, which is fine, since we were only staying for the one night, but the gym was available if you wanted to get in a run on the treadmill. The continental breakfast was the same as it usually is if you stay at similar hotels, breads, toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, waffles, eggs, and sausage but bacon is better, lol, lousy coffee. If you look for something to be wrong, I'm sure you could find it but nothing that stood out. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It was late when we checked in. They overcharged us vs what the website listed. The AC didn't cool off the room, the room smelled like cigarettes, the bathroom sink was clogged and they couldn't even give you regular sized pillows. They had 5 throw pillows on the bed. The smoke detector kept beeping and the sheets were itchy and felt dirty. We finally had enough and left after 2 hours. The guy at the desk said he couldn't credit me, but could give me a different room. Hmmm......that's weird. Because when I checked in he said I had the last room. Lovely staff and reliable facilities, the shower head had GREAT pressure! Breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL for what seems so simple?! Eggs were great, cereal was Kellogg's, and there was a waffle station. Breads all looked fresh, yogurt and juice were well within date stamps, and the ladies were SOO friendly and happy to help and cleanup! My sister and I felt VERY welcomed from the minute we pulled into the parking lot; they had signs out saying,"Welcome Twins" (we were in town for the annual twins festival!). The check in went smoothly and they even gave us gift bags for the event, and placed a marker board in the lobby for twins to introduce themselves! We had tears in our eyes just making our entry, we felt like family! This is going to be our home away from home EVERY year for twins days! read more

I've traveled all over the world but twinsburg Ohio has kinda been home for me for the last ten years I was an over the road truck driver for many years until I had a stroke on 4/20/2024 I was paralyzed on my left side so as I was really living in my trackter trailer these past 5years I have stayed in my fair share of hotels over the last few years especially since joe Biden was in office I've stayed at the Hemingway hotel in niyrobi Kenya all the way down to the super8 in twinsburg Ohio your better off staying in your car than go to that place! Alright back to the comfort inn the lady at the front desk was asked 3 times for room service including telling a few others of the staff the mirror in my room was off the wall and ready to fall on the floor I'm in a wheelchair now mind you they told me they have a handicap room but it's out of order! I asked the same lady about that room several times but was told it's still out of order! The breakfast is pretty good for being included in your room they have a swimming pool it has a layer of oil floating on the top of the water there was a bunch of little girls here for the weekend they went swimming Friday night I really wanted to use the pool I'm rehabing myself I'm starting to walk again! Today is Sunday I've been here since Thursday night !! I will see if I get room service today? All in all this is a decent place to stay but if these people that own it don't start maintaining this place it will become a roach infested dope house like the super 8 down the street read more

This hotel needs a total renovation. Everything is worn, not working and only marginally clean. Staff is friendly and they gave out a welcome bag. That was the highlight! Every time the heater came on, the room reeked of cigaret smoke. The pillows were musty and carpet very stained. We should have checked it more closely. read more

Lately, I've been doing my best Jack Kerouac impression because I've been "On the Road" for what seems like months now. Normally, I don't review hotels though Comfort Suits is my "go to" hotel while traveling on business. In general, the hotel chain isn't spectacular but their prices and availability where ever I go keep me coming back, having said that I know its not "the Waldorff" and as a result my expectations are within reason. The rooms of every Comfort Suite I've ever visited were clean and comfortable...they have free wifi for all guests and as a business traveler that's all I need. However, the difference between one comfort suite from another is their breakfast service. This location serves hot breakfast!! I like to get my day started early...especially on a business trips...the early bird catches the worm as they say. During my week long stay, I arrived at the breakfast area as early as 545am...mind you they officially open at 6am. Without fail (during my week long stay) danishes were available, so was bold coffee as well as one component(of the two component hot breakfast) such as scrambled eggs or sausage were consistently available. This is no small matter to me. I've stayed at many comfort suites and never once do I assume that breakfast will be ready by 6am. In fact, I've stayed at locations that don't have any of the hot components of breakfast available until 615am and by then there is a line along with all the early birds for coffee and such. This place is refreshingly different and is the sole reason I'm giving this location 4 stars and writing this review. If hot breakfast isn't available until 615am, when they said it would be available at 6am...does that ruin my day...of course not but I think back about the money I'm saving and think, well this is par for the course...you get what you pay for etc. This location is different...they really do live up to their word about having breakfast available by 6am. That extra level of effort makes me feel like I'm getting more value for my money. The rest of my stay was fine...the front desk people at all hours are not overly friendly but that's no big deal to me. It has a pool and a nice gym but once again not a big deal to me. This hotel allows me to start my day as early as possible and for that I'm grateful. I want to send my compliments to those who get everything going much earlier than expected so that I can get going early. I'll always come back to this Comfort suites for that reason. To the staff(an management of the hotel) please keep up the good work and to those who read this and experience the same level of service from the staff that makes breakfast very early...make sure you express your thanks! read more

The Twinsburg Comfort Suites was extremely dirty. My first room had hair clippings all over the night stand, phone, lamp, ledge, and edge of the bed. There was urine on the rim of the toilet seat. A red stain on the comforter. Toothpaste splatter on the mirror. The floor and couch were stained and needed to be vacuumed. And the bathroom door was filthy. Do not stay here you care about cleanliness. My second room was better, minus the hair clippings and urine, but still dirty enough to make me feel uncomfortable. I tried calling around to other hotels but availability was limited otherwise I would not have stayed there. read more

The outside and lobby were the cleanest areas. Our hotel carpet was so dirty my kids' feet were black on bottom. I gave them showers to be sure it wasn't from having sandals on earlier, but it was the carpet. There were also hard water stains in shower, holes in walls and many signs of neglect on their end for room upkeep. Staff was very friendly but I won't be coming again. read more

Well... i didn't get shot! Looked like a newer place so we gave it a shot. The rooms were not vary clean. We did find great places to eat around this place but thats about all that was good (everything around comfort suites) The pool is not a place you want to go. The walls are 2 ft from the side of the pool. Looks like they just added it so they can say they have one. Cable tv is like most cheap places ... you have to call the desk to have the box rebooted so you can get all the cable ch's. Wifi was good so i was able to watch netflix on my 3ds. Came back from eating and the cops looked like they found a dead hooker in someones trunk of there car... idk it just was a strange place. Staying here on business and immediately tried to get a refund after checking in as the rooms are that bad. First room I was out in smelled strong of musty mold and I went into the bathroom and after a minute of waiting the lights finally came on allowing me to see everything the previous guest left on the floor, only one towel hanging and it was wet. Second room I was placed in stank, not as bad, a little cleaner but the a/c couldn't/never cooled off the room, mind you that all the halls have no a/c, so it was just nasty. Stayed here for business and will be sure no one else in my company will have to stay here. They are in the middle of renovating, so things might get much better, but I was incredibly disappointed, almost appalled, at how bad it was. First, the parking lot was not plowed and incredibly icy with the recent snow (I understand it's winter, but I've never seen a business care less about customer safety in the winter). Then, there's an odd smell when walking in to the place that dissipates once you get off the first floor - almost a pungent body odor smell. Room was dated and pretty basic. TV was too small for the size of the room, lights flickered, heater made noise constantly, and there were some other odd noises that made it hard to sleep. Bathroom was okay, but definitely needed some work - no toilet paper holder was odd. The bed was actually pretty good, no complaints there. Pillows were equally nice. The rest of the furniture was mediocre at best, just seemed old and well worn. The fitness center was okay. TV was stuck on one channel with no remote in sight. Machines weren't very clean, but it was adequate to get a quick run in. Breakfast was disappointing. Typical options, but not the best quality. I stayed here for a couple nights on a business trip because the Hilton was booked. Apparently this was the next best in the area. When I arrived there was no one in the lobby, so I waited..then I waited some more...then I called 3 times with no answer...then I waited some more. Finally I decided to wander around looking for the receptionist and I found him helping someone break into their room because they were locked out. My girlfriend and I come up about once a year or so to go to West Side Market and then stay in the Cleveland Area with Choice Hotel points. We like this place because its outside of the city on the highway home, and they have whirlpool rooms. This stay was exceptional. Upon arrival, our room was clean and ready, but it had an adjoining door (first time I saw adjoining rooms in all the Comfort Inn's I have visited!). The gap underneath the door was pretty tall and we thought they might be able to hear us and vice versa. I asked the gentleman working the front desk at around 4pm on 11/7/15 (didn't catch his name, looked like a shift manager). He was so kind to check the computer for empty king whirlpool suites for that night and then walked me down to one to see if I liked it. He kindly hooked us up with that room in exchange. It made us feel like we had more privacy, and we planned on watching Trailer Park Boys that has a lot of swearing so it was more for the other guests. The morning breakfast was standard Comfort Inn spread, and the nice lady tending to the dining room went above and beyond to make sure the facility was clean and buffet trays were continually stocked. Also I think they got new internet as a SpeedTest got me around 50megs down. Overall this place is pretty rough, even for a Comfort Suites. The mattress is extremely lumpy and the linens are extremely dingy. The a/c in my room struggled to keep the room at an acceptable temp even though it was only 70 degrees outside. The lighting in the room was horrible, too dim in the living area and in the bathroom the fluorescent lights flickered for 30 seconds trying to light and then were so bright you had to squint. My first impression of the hotel was okay. but I never in a million years expected what would happen to me during my stay. By the end of my week long stay, I walked away with BED BUG bites all over my body. I was put up at this hotel for a work trip and was horrified, disgusted and in complete disbelief. I had noticed the bed linens were not constantly changed and never thought twice since I was the only one coming and going from the room for the next few days. They agreed to switch my room for the remaining day stay, but after what I had discovered I really couldn't sleep the rest of the night, even in a new room. The assistant manager advised he would go inspect the room I had switched out of but I never heard back. At checkout I requested to speak to the manager and she was not in. I advised the attending clerk of my situation the night before and she looked shocked as I proceeded to show her my arms. I hate to write a negative review and wish I could speak of the other qualities of this hotel but really, who can overlook the bed bugs? I had to run to the urgent care before my flight home to have medicine and ointment prescribed to help control the itch and redness. Needless to say had to trash my entire luggage in fear of bringing any of it home. I would not recommend this hotel and advised my company of its hygienic condition so they could stop all future employees from staying there. read more
