The building smelled of mold and was in general disrepair. (They had fans running in the stairwells, ostensibly to address the persistent humidity issues.) The fitness center had a mere two pieces of aerobic equipment, one of which, the treadmill, was "out of order". There is no sound proofing at all, so you hear every noise from your neighbors to the sides, above and below. And believe me, there was a LOT of noise. The worst part of this experience, however, relates to the fact that I had requested to shorten my stay by one evening, because my father had passed two days before and the funeral home was not able to schedule his service until 10 days in the future. As such, I just desired to return home to Virginia, rather than waste money on another night I didn't need. The hotel OWNER refused to simply take that night off. (I had already paid for two nights.) Rather, they gave me the option of paying the current rate for two nights, which would have been more expensive and carried with it a surcharge of some sort. So, the only option they offered was a more expensive one than simply eating the third night and returning home early anyway. So, I left early and ate the cost of the third night. I have no doubt they could have simply eliminated the third night, if they so chose. They couldn't even muster that sort of simple humanity for someone who had just lost their father. Please, do not patronize this hotel! Even if you don't sympathize with my familial plight, you will save yourself a dismal stay smelling mold, listening to your loud neighbors, and finding some other venue for your daily workout.

Her husband cooks breakfast and is a musician, and also knows when to relinquish the stage to her. Perfect location just a 3 minute walk to the town green and many great restaurants. The Western Reserve Academy is two blocks away across the street, so book early if your trip falls around graduation ceremonies.

I had booked a king room but they did not have pet friendly king rooms, so they gave me two double beds for the same price as the king room. The pros are that it is affordable and it is close to everything around there, including the Cuyahoga valley national park. The television although small only 19 inches gets a lot of channels and the hot and cold water worked fine. No problems there. However, the rooms do not look anything like on the website. As a matter of fact, I wonder where they got those pictures from. There was holes in the walls and the ceiling looked like it had been patched up 100 times and it's just an old dilapidated building that nobody is putting any money into it. You could see in the bathroom on the bathtub where there were burns, probably from cigarettes, even though there is no smoking . There was dirt everywhere and the sheets had holes in them and there were burn holes in the bed cover, again, even though there is no smoking allowed in the rooms. It's a very old building and nobody is putting any care or money or updates into it and it's sad. It looks like a majority of the people that stay there actually stay there permanently or for long times. Which is fine, but they should still upgrade for these people. I only received one bath towel, which was small, one hand towel, and one washcloth as far as the towels go for stocking the room. There is no blow dryer, and there was only one little trashcan for the whole room where in most hotels there are several. I feel bad for knights inn. I don't know how they could associate their good name with this. It's really sad because so many people buy hotels like this for next to nothing as far as chain outfits go and they don't do anything but collect money.

The location is conveniently near a Starbucks and the freeway. They have amenities like a heated pool and gym but I didn't use them. I booked a couple nights around new years. It wasn't the quietest (I could hear cars/traffic noise). But it also wasn't a party hotel. Be sure to take the time to lower the black out curtains and adjust the thermostat screen for better sleep. The suites were very large and updated. There is a little wear and tear. I saw some scuff marks on the walls. But overall it's a clean hotel. Upon check in they give you bottled water. Breakfast starts at 6am and it's complimentary. But if you have to head out earlier they have a couple brown bags breakfast to go! Inside was a bottle of water, a bagel, and an apple. Check in and out was very quick and friendly. Thank you Chance and Susan. This will probably be my go to hotel for visiting this area.

The bathroom was large with great counter space & a nice large shower (women will appreciate that it has a ledge for shaving legs). Bed was comfy with 4 pillows , room darkening blinds I loved . They have free typical breakfast with eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, etc & the breakfast area is large and has a TV in it . Coffee is available in the lobby all day (but there is also a Starbucks on the right side of the hotel now just steps from the side door, and you are also next to a McDonald's and a Dunkin). Staff is friendly. The only issues I've ever had here were with check in as a Hilton Honors member, check-in has not gone smoothly, and my digital key has never worked here. This time I was almost checked in as a different guest and luckily, I knew I already had a hold on my credit card and that got figured out quickly. There is also a pool & gym. Free large parking lot. The hotel is 4 floors & used stairs easily (2 elevators). my only room issue this time around was the deadbolt did not latch. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The A/C worked fine; all the appliances in the room worked without issue... but I can't say that is the case for the free breakfast; don't expect coffee LOL. I recommend "Fresh Start Diner", a little diner that is within a 5-minute drive from the hotel... GREAT FOOD, AND GREAT SERVICE! A little Diamond in the rough. So, here is where we went from 3 stars to 1: Toilet seat lose (I attempted to tighten nut under and found piss all over), toilet paper holder lose (Roll fell off multiple times), Hook on back of door in bathroom falling off (Couldn't hold the weight of one towel), Paint chips behind pull out bed from ceiling where it was leaking, Freezer part of fridge had left over food in the ice, bedding was ripped and stained (sheets didn't fit the beds), pillows extremely lumpy????? BUT, here is the real kick in the face... We checked out, and within an hour we were charged additionally because the rates went up after we made and paid for our reservations. Choice Hotels said this is at the hotel's discretion to charge more if rates go up? WTF!? SERIOUSLY??? It's kinda like seeing the price on the menu and ordering steak and then getting charged more once you have eaten it because prices went up while you were chewing. How would you like reserving airline tickets 6 months in advance and then getting charged a few hundred dollars more after your trip? To be honest, I feel Twinsburg is a hole in the wall in Ohio; even their Walmart was nasty! If you plan on stopping in Twinsburg, read the reviews and pay attention to them... they're not wrong! So we went to the second room downstairs and I got into bed and there was a used condom, which I'm not gonna show on here because I don't want to get banned. So I went to the phone and tried calling the front desk, and I noticed that the phone didn't work, and there was no buttons. So I looked on the side of the phone and the cord had been cut. I took it to the front desk and he blamed me thinking that I had done that. The trashcan was broken and the shower curtain had stains on them. The toilet comes completely off. Then I looked in the bed under the first sheet and there was urine stains and blood stains. I asked them to come do maintenance and they didn't. He has not sent maintenance either times. There were people behind me also that were complaining about something as well And they just left but I don't have the funds to do that and they refused to give me a refund. I am going to provide pictures just so you can see the state of this motel. For being quality and it sure doesn't have a good quality. Also I need to mention that I asked maintenance today for more towels, and they were extremely cruel and mean.
