Cookies Pet Corner & Wash - Birthday treats for my baby

    Cookies Pet Corner & Wash

When you walk in if you're a dog person you go to the left if you're a cat person you go to the right since I have a dog I enjoy looking at all their home made treats, which my dog loves. I always get the peanut butter hearts , since they have such a huge assortment of fresh made treats, it was her birthday recently, so I got her specialty treats that they do have an assortment against the window as well. They have dog food for sale as well as beds, toys, treats, and safe bones for your dogs. And they do have a rewards program where are you just sign up for free and I got a little card and then they save your points that can be used at other purchases. I do not use their grooming services since I do not want to wash my dog and let the pros take care of that .

My husband and I brought our two dogs here for the first time last week. We believe the person who…read morehelped us was the owner. He was the absolute best and I can't hype this place enough. First, he coached us on how to bathe our dogs with their wash station. We've had our dogs for 10 and 15 years and have never been told instructions, which we really found helpful. Next, we got 30 minutes to bathe our two pups... we've been limited to 6 minutes apiece at other businesses. And yet the price at Cookies was almost half of what we've payed for at other places!! Third, we received free packages of treats both during and after the bath. There were chicken, beef, or fish varieties in case the dogs had allergies. We were also given bottles of water for ourselves because my husband was sweating from bathing the dogs. Finally, the variety of treats, bones, and dog food here is broad. We've been to a few other dog stores in the area and nothing compares to Cookies. We'll be coming back to this place probably 1-2 times a month. The customer service alone was enough for us, the variety and attention to detail in product selection was the cherry on top.

Please note that my review is of Cedar Creek's business ownership structure, not of the veterinary…read morecare provided there. Cedar Creek Animal Clinic is owned by Thrive Pet Care, which in turn is owned by a private equity firm, TSG Consumer Partners. TSG/Thrive bought up our local independent veterinarian in Tacoma, Columbia Veterinary Hospital several years ago and ran it into the ground. When Columbia Vet. closed, Thrive evidently sold/transferred their patient list to Cedar Creek, who started sending us reminders that it was time for our cats to get their check-ups, shots, etc. We long ago found another local vet when Columbia was floundering and have never been to Cedar Creek, so it was galling to keep receiving these personalized reminders in the mail. (For the record, there is a 0% chance that we would ever drive all the way to Port Orchard for veterinary care.) These mailings were quite literally going on for years until I finally called Cedar creek today. The representative who answered was nice enough to take us off their mailing list. The veterinary care at Cedar Creek may be wonderful for all I know, but if you feel like you're overpaying for your vet care, know that the money isn't going to the folks who work in Port Orchard--it's going to TSG Consumer Partners in Stamford, CT. Private equity is a cancer eating the world. PE turned its attention to veterinary clinics a few years ago because it realized that because people love their pets, it represents an opportunity for extortion. I'm not sure what the solution is, but I thought that I'd take a minute to demystify things for folks not in the know. Take care, all.

I'm incredibly frustrated with the service at Cedar Creek Veterinary. My dog, Betsy, had her first…read moreappointment there, but since my husband took her in, they added his information to the account (which I have no issues with, they were following protocol). After her second visit, I went in personally to provide my own details so the account could be updated to reflect me as the primary contact. Unfortunately, it seems that change was never made. When I called today to follow up about a separate issue, they couldn't even find me in their system. To make matters worse, the staff member who answered the phone--Rachel--was shockingly rude. She kept cutting me off while I was trying to explain the issue. She even asked me why my husband was listed and the reason why he had previously brought Betsy in. Which I replied "because I was at work at the time". It was clear that customer service was not a priority for her. Between the mishandling of our account and the unprofessional behavior I encountered, we've decided to take our business elsewhere. If you care about being treated with respect and having your information handled properly, I'd strongly suggest finding a different veterinary clinic.

    Pet Town - Great selection

Absolutely Amazing Experience at Pet Town Port Orchard!…read more I've been to Pet Town Belfair before, but this was my first visit to Pet Town Port Orchard, and honestly -- it was outstanding! The staff here are genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly love what they do. It happened to be Halloween, and my dog (dressed up as Krypto the Super Dog ‍) got a full-size bag of premium dog treats from the kind gal at the counter -- such a sweet surprise! I had questions about dog food and fresh meals, and Dan, who turned out to be the store manager, went above and beyond. He walked me through different options and recommended A Pup Above - Porky's Luau and Natural Balance L.I.D. Lamb & Brown Rice kibble. My dog LOVES this combo -- even more than his Science Diet Small Bites! What stood out most was Dan's professionalism and humility -- he was stocking shelves one minute and giving thoughtful pet nutrition advice the next. You can tell this place has a strong sense of care and community. The store is spotless, well-stocked, and full of great pet supplies, toys, and treats. If you're looking for a local pet store in Port Orchard with amazing staff, fair prices, and real heart, this is it. We'll definitely be back soon -- thank you, Pet Town Port Orchard, for being such a gem!
