The staff here are genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly love what they do. It happened to be Halloween, and my dog (dressed up as Krypto the Super Dog ‍) got a full-size bag of premium dog treats from the kind gal at the counter -- such a sweet surprise! I had questions about dog food and fresh meals, and Dan, who turned out to be the store manager, went above and beyond. He walked me through different options and recommended A Pup Above - Porky's Luau and Natural Balance L.I.D. Lamb & Brown Rice kibble. My dog LOVES this combo -- even more than his Science Diet Small Bites! What stood out most was Dan's professionalism and humility -- he was stocking shelves one minute and giving thoughtful pet nutrition advice the next. You can tell this place has a strong sense of care and community. The store is spotless, well-stocked, and full of great pet supplies, toys, and treats. I found Sabai Pet Grooming on a Facebook site. It is a new business with a professional groomer working out of her home. Louie is a mini-poodle and he had over 3 months of grow out. He came out of his appointment looking beautiful. Jung had listened to my description of what we wanted in his cut and that is exactly what we got. The tail pompom was a bit longer than I wanted, so she popped him back, trimmed it perfectly and returned him to me in just a few minutes. I have left my dog here many times, on the surface they have always appeared to be nice and taken care of my dog. This is an establishment that likes to know when you're going to drop off and when you're going to pick up, I completely understand that and respect it, so when I came to the kennel to pick my dog up at 3:30, because when asked I specifically said 3:30 because that's the soonest I could be there after work. There was no mention of another time. I arrived promptly at 3:30 only to find the kennel closed, so I knocked and knocked and knocked and shouted "hello is anybody there I'm here to pick up my dog" the place was dark and said closed. I was concerned and did not know what to do. The owners house is just up the hill, I decided to go and knock on the door. When she answered she said, in a very angry voice, "what are you doing here, how dare you come to my personal residence" I apologized and said I'm here to pick up my dog she said "we are closed" and I said "I told you I would be here at 3:30" she said "no you did not" I said "yes I did that's when I get off work" she said "we're closed, I told you to come at 4:10" and I said "I'm sorry you didn't, I wouldn't have come if you said any other time" she said "you better stop talking now just give me a minute I will meet you down at the kennel" so I walked down to the kennel and when she came walking up I apologized again and she said "don't talk to me, I am entitled to a break you shouldn't be here" I agreed and apologized again literally with tears in my eyes I tried to tell her again that no other time was told to me, she said "you better just stop talking right now". Before I left I said "listen I'm sorry, there was obviously some miscommunication and I'm sorry to interrupt you" she said "I don't think you are"!! I am here to tell you I am not a liar and I absolutely do not take advantage of people. She did not even want to try to work this out or accept the chance there was any miscommunication. She may have had a really bad day or a bad week but a person that talks to you like that I think she just might miss handle the animals as well. She lost a repeat customer and all recommendations. I went home and checked the time, I keep very good notes, It said drop off at 4:30 and pick up at 3:30!! There was no miscommunication on my part.
