My experience was mediocre and I wanted to share that. Pros: Scheduling/billing is really easy. Fun notes & photos. Prompt responses to inquiries. Cons: Not very attentive. Not very punctual/reliable (one time she was late almost for an hour, which is a lot for a puppy's scheduled potty time).

This place charges very high boarding fees, charges extra $15 a night for blocks of holiday days, charges an additional $65 if you pick the dog up after lunch time. You may end up paying $180 to board your dog for 1 night so beware. This price does not include walks, the dogs all pee inside in the play pen. For the outrageous fees, you would expect more. It's so unsanitary. I will never again book this place for my puppy. I don't see how they stay in business. The grooming is abosultely terrible. It's shocking, and for the price you pay you would expect it to look semi professional. Each time the dog was shaved down despite asking for poodle cut. I am done with this place, I only went back for convenience but never again. They need some new management, re-evaluate their fee structure or actually hire some people. Greedy owners will do theirselves in.

Creating an online profile and scheduling an appointment was a breeze (no more phone call attempts!) It was clear as day to see when there was availability, and yes, I was even able to schedule same-day! The place was welcoming and staff were friendly. They did an excellent job on my dog's nails (he has long quicks and usually most groomers don't get short enough out of nervousness cutting the dog). We were in and out in a jiffy! Happy to have found a place nearby with fair pricing and great staff that make my dog feel comfortable. We will be back!

I found Kevin by bringing Seamus to the park myself and marveled at his skill in managing all the dogs in his pack. I have such respect for him and comfort in knowing his dog management acumen helps train our dog. The cost is well worth the benefit. During Covid I increased visits to the park to give myself a break and get Seamus the right level of stimuli so I could focus on working at home. Fast forward to now, when I decide I will at least inquire into their services...only to I find out they don't even offer overnight stays for cats, only dogs. How discriminatory against cats. What, like cats couldn't possibly need extra in home attention? This is such a common misperception about cats & I am surprised that any company catering to "pets" would allow themselves to buy into that BS.

Einat, the owner, is very responsive and clearly cares about both her customers and her employees--and it shows in the quality of their service. Charlie typically had the same walkers at the same time each week. They were all professional, caring, attentive, and TRUE dog lovers! I loved Strut the Pup's daily walk reports and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing he was being well taken care of while I was at work. On a few occasions when I was working from home, I watched as his regular walker arrived--Charlie would be waiting at the window and greeted them with full-body wags every time. When Charlie's hips started bothering him as he got older, the team helped me adjust his walks so he could continue enjoying his outdoor adventures. Sadly, Charlie has since passed, but I've saved many of the walk-report photos his walkers took (like this one), and they remain some of my favorite pictures of him. In both cases DDO passed with flying colors! Our initial resident husky, Cassie, became a better dog (seriously!) as a result of her time socializing and learning the rules at DDO. And all of our subsequent dogs (yup, huskies) trained to be good canine citizens with either Danette or Erika. The positive impact that these two and DDO have made on their local neighborhood is significant! In fact, so considerate of their neighbors that our first husky was not accepted for fear she'd jump the fence and escape/disturb nearby neighbors. Eventually, Cassie was accepted but watched very closely. Ironically, in my volunteer work at the Seattle Animal Shelter I have found that both Danette and Erika have made significant contributions both in person and in helping to write the training materials that guide new dog walking volunteers at SAS. And they hire like-minded, conscientious people at DDO who also give their time to Shelter dogs. Truly, these are the best people! And I say that as an approaching 70 years semi-curmudgeon-ish woman who likes dogs way better than people most of the time. Check our DDO in Ballard or Burien. I'll likely be there too, as I'm down to only one senior-ish husky.
