I've seen some mixed reviews about this place so I wanted to share my experience. The staff is not rude! They are just doing their jobs and not plastering fake "customer service smiles" on their faces lol. They are very professional and listened to my concerns for my big guy who had never been to any groomer before. I was very happy with the job they did and I will be going to them exclusively as their pricing was fair and my Maxwell meshed well with his groomer. I will say- when he got home he did drink two bowls of water, not sure if he had water while there, but he could've been too nervous/excited to drink while there, he does have some marking issues so they could have been trying to avoid him peeing everywhere as well. Overall, I was happy with everything. Maxwells coat smelled so good and is glossy now, his nails were done nicely, and I was happy not to struggle getting a 100lb dog into my bathtub at home. read more

Earlier today I had my first experience with this place. I am relatively new to the area and my Shorkie dog hadn't had a haircut in a long time, and she also had a run in with some fleas. I booked my appointment a week ahead of time, they are a popular place and my work schedule is hectic, but they did have plenty of availability earlier on in the week. I arrived early and was greater promptly by a group of ladies that truly had a love for animals. My dog is very mellow, but she still doesn't like the groomer. Every place I have ever taken her too, leaves her distraught for an entire day. The first thing I noticed about her when I arrived was how clean she looked. They truly did a great job shaping her hair. The second thing I noticed was how totally normal she was acting. It's clear to me they know how to treat animals, even the sensitive ones. The outcome of our groom was great our doodle looks very smooth and smells very good especially considering he was matted. However despite the sign out front stating people need to wear their masks none of the staff was. When we went to pick him up the person working the front counter wasn't very polite no hospitality. When we got home our dog immediately ran to his water bowl and drank water for two minutes so we can only assume they didn't give him any water or gave him very little all day. Overall our dogs looks very nice and they even saved a small poof on the end of his tail despite his tail having been very matted but we won't be going back. read more

I normally patronize a different groomer in Port Orchard, however their calendar was so full and didn't match my time frame. So I called up the Groomery after some consideration. The woman on the phone was great. I got a same week appointment, for today. I was happy with their availability. I brought my shedding GSD in for a basic bath and brush out. Dropped him off at 11 and they called by 330 for pick up. I had told them of a couple quirks to be aware of upon dropping him off. Upon pick up they said my dog was "very nice" they had "no problems" with anything. I was also impressed that they noted my toe nail trimming that I keep up with -- which of course means they looked at his nails. All good signs. My Sabre was his normal happy self when they brought him out. He looks and smells great. I also bought a new collar and dog food while I was there. The Groomery has a nice retail selection with fair prices. I'm very happy and would definitely be comfortable bringing my pets there again. read more

It sucks because this place used to be a really pleasant place and now it's just not. Some short round lady with a crew cut helped me today and she was just rude the whole time. I noticed that the price went up from the last time and when I asked why she said it's because we hadn't brought him in so long... hmm, maybe because you were closed for coronavirus! On top of that I groomed him myself during the shutdown. Anyways she was just rude about all of it and I'm not a super mask nazi but she started coughing really nasty and phlegmy sounding and she wasn't wearing her mask all of the way. Really great customer service skills here. They really took the time to try and figure out what kind of cut I wanted for my pet. Also told me about their open door policy which is pretty cool. And they also seem to have a day care so that's also convenient. All in all my pup's cut was reasonably charged. They also told me he seem comfortable enough which is great news because were new in town, so yay! read more

I can't say enough good things about the Groomery. I have been very disappointed by so many groomers so I have many to compare with. I think I have been a customer for at least six years. They go above and beyond to make the experience as pleasant as possible for the pet and the owner. They groom my three Pomeranians. One has multiple health issues and Tonia grooms him on her lap to minimize his back pain. I am so happy I found these shop after years of shopping. Also I might add, the shop is spotless. After having a bad situation occur with our last groomer, where our shih tzu lost an eye as a result, we were looking for a new one! We stumbled upon this WONDERFUL place and will continue to bring our boys back! They have excellent pricing, wonderful ladies who work there, and just a very friendly and open environment. Their customer service is severely lacking. We've taken our 7 pound indoor Maltese there several times and they've done a good job grooming him, but there attitudes suck! We had our daughter drop him off and pick him up. She was warned that this was the last time they would accept him if he came in with any mats. I don't known what they were thinking. This is a little seven pound indoor dog with a single mat in his tail. That's why we took him to be groomed!?! We couldn't brush it out. If you wish to stay in business you don't talk down to your customers! There are other groomers in town. We won't be back. read more

I just walked in to have my puppy's nails trimmed and experienced the worst customer service. At first, one employee came to greet my dog and was sweet and patient with my inexperienced dog but was soon met with two other employees who were very impatient and rude to both my dog, myself and other customers. This employee, who I assumed was the manager, talked very short and talked down to me for my dog being skittish. They took my dog to the back and I could hear her yelling at my dog, who was already anxious to get his nails clipped, and then refused the service to us. Another employee barked at a customer for being inside the store and ordered her to wait outside even though I was the only other person in the store. He is a terrier/schiperkeze mix and they are the first place to know exactly how to take care of his coat so he doesn't shed nearly as much. It's been amazing. I was thinking of bringiy dog here but then I read their "terms of agreement" that a person has to sign to bring their pet here: Here is the text that seems to allow this place to kill my dog and I cannot hold them liable: "You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless, from and against all loss, damage or expenses, including attorneys' fees, resulting from misrepresentations by you or your representatives, or resulting from your Guest's stay, including, without limitation, any person claiming to be the owner of your pet and any person claiming damage or injury by your pet." I agree that they should not be responsible for any misrepresentations pet owners make, but this paragraph goes on to state: "or resulting form you Guest's stay" So I am holding them not responsible for damage to my pet? to their salon? What does this mean? Do I need to hire an attorney at $300 per hour to understand this contract? Also, this phrase: "any person claiming to be the owner of your pet and any person claiming damage or injury by your pet." These vague, broad phrases make it sound like they can make me pay for anything they want. Why would they let anyone other than myself claim to be the owner of my pet? If I had a vindictive ex spouse and the ex spouse came in and claimed to be the owner of my dog and then broke a window, it sounds like this place would expect me to pay for the window. I am totally astonished at this clause in their terms of service. I wonder what these people have done wrong in the past to feel the need of such unreasonable terms? read more

This is hands down the BEST groomers I have ever been to. Our dog, Odin, has had bad experiences with other groomers. He howls, shakes and has even peed a few times because he was so nervous. The first time we ever walked in, the ladies made him feel comfortable and got his nails trimmed in record time! I thought that taking him to the groomers would always be a struggle, but this place has proved me wrong! We recently added another puppy to our household. Little did I realize the compleat of services available here from dog day care to grooming to tips and suggestions like Cesar Milano. When I walk my dog in the vicinity of this dog haven she wants to hot foot it right over there. I thought I had the main attention of my German Shepherd/Mallinois She does not look back when she is headed through those bifold doors which hold the secrets of dogs communicating with each other and being supremely pleased to be there. My dog is quite full of her self but a magic potion must be poured on her while she is there, because she is really Zen. The grooming is fantastic, the knowledge base remarkable, and sometimes I leave my dog there because she can play all day long with great supervision and comes home properly exhausted. The owners have mega years of experience, and a shout out to Holly their receptionist who treats each dog as if it were her own. She makes time to get you scheduled that works out for you and really loves you pet. Stella not too interested in me when she sees these three women. We have a farm dog who was in serious need of a bath who is very fearfull of water. She is a rescue dog and we feel she was abused some how with water as a puppy so she hates getting a bath. The groomery was exceptional at taking extra care in bathing her without using the sprayer. We will be using them again and again. read more

On March 1, 2019, my husband brought our dog into this business for a bath and hygiene groom. When he got him home, he had three wounds. One appeared to be an electric razor cut on his inner thigh, one was a deeper cut on his pubis near his penis, and the third was severe razor rash around his anus and the inner base of the tail. Later that week, I took our dog into the vet to get checked as the cut on his pubis was red and I worried about infection. The vet encouraged me to report the business. I agreed to speak with the owner first. I waited about a week to call the owner because I was so angry, I didn't think I could speak calmly about it. When I did call, I was told the owner was out with back trouble but would call me back. I waited a couple of weeks and called again. When the owner did call on April 5, 2019, I described the injuries. She immediately became defensive, said she was not going to take my word as she said I should have brought him back in within 72 hours for her to see. I reminded her that a vet had treated the dog and documented the wounds, but she accused me of trying to scam her. I reiterated that all I was asking for was for her to be accountable and re-train the tech that worked on the dog. She hung up on me. Our pets are very vulnerable when they are being groomed, and the owners response to my concerns remove all trust I would have in her or the people who work for her. read more
