I've had glasses where the coating remained in good shape for 5+ years, but now these are unwearable after 2. Went to a new optician and then found out the frames were way too small, with the temples bowed way out as they reached my ears. At $800, the price paid was exorbitant in relation to the fitting and longevity/quality of the service. Never returning here.

I got a call to pick up my frames and I asked if I could have my prescription when I picked them up and was told yes. I arrive and get my frames and only one of the two is ready. And they also have no print out and am told I'll get it when I pick up the other frames. I get a call to pick up the other frames and confirm the print out will be ready. The print out was not ready and I had to wait for it. I asked for my PD and was told no. I asked why not and the employee told me it changes depending on the glasses. This made no sense to me because it is the distance between my pupils and that doesn't change. I also mentioned how when I got my two pairs of glasses from that very store they only measured my PD on one frame because it's the same. I asked how that was. She said they had a machine and it knows what to do. I asked how it worked and she said that's why we have machines. She begrudgingly wrote down my PD and said she added a note to the file that she is not liable if I use it and it's wrong. I feel as if she kept just saying stuff to placate me and get me to move on and I don't appreciate that. What she was saying did not make sense to me. I paid for an eye exam and prescription and my PD should be included. Additionally, the two times I went in to pick up frames she seem flustered and kept going on about how busy she was. And I wish they would leave a message when I missed the phone call. I like the frames I bought but probably won't be coming back, to this location at least

I had an appointment with Dr. Tan who took her time and explained every step of the eye exam. She was informative, knowledgeable and very friendly. I got a pair of updated glasses and a new contact lens prescription, both of which have worked out nicely. Doctors nowadays are often criticized for having no bedside manner and apathy, not the case here. This practice is family owned with a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Instead of a courteous reply, the associate--who was audibly chatting with someone else while speaking to me--responded in a shockingly rude tone: "If I had that, I would not be calling." I do not believe my question warranted such an unprofessional and disrespectful response. As a result, I canceled my appointment. I refuse to accept that kind of treatment, especially over such a simple and reasonable question. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and genuinely regretting my decision to try a different location. I am now seriously reconsidering my continued relationship with Visionworks. This was not acceptable. Not at all.
