I have been going to Eyecare Unlimited for 26 years. The staff has always gone above and beyond! From the moment you walk in they are smiling and welcoming! During COVID they have really stepped it up making sure everyone is safe. They only allow one customer per hour to ensure all sanitation is taking place properly. They all wear masks and gloves as well as protective equipment on all equipment. Dr. Weinberg makes the eye exam comfortable and even fun! He is calming and knowledgeable. I already had high expectations for this place after hearing how nice and wonderful the receptionist was over the phone while making an appointment, and they did not disappoint! They were very accommodating with appointment times, and upon arrival were very thorough with explaining everything insurance related. The doctor was great and explained all procedures in Laymen's terms and made me feel very comfortable and able to understand what was going on. They were also very helpful with picking out frames for glasses! Very nice people, I definitely recommend this place! read more

I have been going to Eyecare Unlimited since I was a child (I'm in my 30s now). Dr. Weinberg is hands down the best. I moved away and saw other optomotrists as it was hard to get back to Long Island often. But, I learned after seeing more than 3 other optomotrist offices that all paled in comparison to Eyecare Unlimited. I learned me lesson and now make special trips to see Dr. Weinberg and the staff there. They are always efficient, thorough, and accurate. Not to mention very kind. Everyone was extremely helpful. There were other customers in the store and I walked in with out an appointment but was immediately greeted and pointed in the right direction. I found several frames I liked and was shown other frames matching the similar style. I've been wearing glasses since 1983, so I've been to many eye doctors throughout the years. Dr. Weinberg is THE BEST I've ever experienced. Now I moved to FL and was forced to go to someone else. No comparison to Dr. Weinberg. No one compares to Dr. Weinberg. I'm just going to have to go to him whenever I visit NY. He is detailed oriented, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, spends time explaining everything until you understand it, has a great sense of humor...and, his office has such a large variety of beautiful designer glasses, too! read more

I called to make an appointment. I explained that I am legally blind and do not drive and have Medicaid and would need an appointment on Saturday. I was told, "no offense, but the doctor does not like to see certain patient's on Saturday and your insurance is one of them". I told them I would be happy to go somewhere else. read more

After years of eye care experiences that ranged from horrible to so-so, I have finally found perfection at Eyecare Unlimited and Dr. Weinberg! There is no pretense here...friendly, helpful, honest, detailed, informative, great sense of humor, patient and the rest of the staff is also amazing. Great selection of frames and Dr. Weinberg came out to check the frames to make sure my prescription would work as intended with the frames I selected. He also explained to me how each pair would properly fit on my face, which was very helpful in finding optimum comfort. I learned so much about the process which helped explain why I have been so frustrated in the past. Oh, and when the glasses were ready, Dr. Weinberg, himself, checked them. I am such a happy camper!
