    My gosh we spend and overnighted on a trip to Cali and a week on our way back! The office support…read morewas great they even delivered us some cookies (for Christmas I imagine) which was unexpected and super nice since my FIL has memory issues and loves some cookies! The grounds were nice and kept, it was super quiet and safe as they have day and night guards that cruise around in their golf carts. It's an easy point to see tons of fabulous things in SLC downtown and easy access to the main freeways if you are going farther. To am from Salt Lake and there is a ton of things that are fabulous to see from the Fine Arts Gallery or the Utah Museum of Natural History at the University of Utah to the Temple especially at Christmas for the lights, to hiking areas, great food options from basic food to super great upper end options, wine bars, breweries, coffee shops and ice cream shops. There are a lot of activities for children of all ages from the planetarium in the city creek area to the Aquarium out south. Enjoy your stay!

Doesn't hurt to ask, right? So I called and said we were thinking about reserving a night there, but wanted to check if they had any available places for short-term storage afterwards, as we would be staying elsewhere for the next 3 nights. Woman on phone, very rudely: "Do you mean you don't want to stay here with us at all but you want to store your trailer here?" Me: "No" (repeated the same info as before). Woman, very curtly: "So we need to get you registered for a night then." Me, a little more warily: "Well we're considering it, but I just wanted to check about any available storage options you may have." Woman: "No, if you pay for a site, then you can store it here." Clearly, just asking a simple yes or no question was very harmful (to them) and their rude and hurtful reaction means that they are not interested in our business at all. A simple, kind, " No, I'm sorry we don't offer that" would have been lovely. Management may want to speak to the people who answer the phone, and re-teach what respectful interactions look like. From, the Airstream community that gives you lots of business and talks to each other about RV locations.

I personally inspected the equipment before hooking up and noted that it was clean and in good repair. I was hooked up and out of the facility in less than 15 minutes... TOTAL!!! Because I picked up late, they extended the drop off time for me by an hour! What great customer relations! I am totally impressed with this operation and the agent I worked with! I would highly recommend this location over all others I have used in the Sandy area.

    This was literally the single worst customer service I've ever received from a company. I will…read morenever use U-Haul again. I live in WA state and my mother was caught in an emergency in SLC and needed a U-Haul to get home. The store representative informed me that the only way I could pay for this was to buy an online gift certificate (failing to mention that it is non-refundable). Turns out, their tow hitch ball is uniform (2in) and not interchangeable, so long story short, we couldn't use their truck. Here's where my complaint comes in... When I reached out to U-Hual's customer service team to see what the options were for a refund, they gave me an incredibly bad experience. I was transferred back and forth to multiple teams who had no idea what they were doing, and kept passing me back and forth to the wrong teams. Once I finally got in touch with the "customer service manager" the guy had the worst attitude and was non sympathetic to any part of the situation. I asked to escalate this to someone who would listen and he denied my request to speak with his manager. He also tried to tell me I don't understand how business works (I'm a recruiter for Google by the way, so I might have an idea). So basically, I'm out $466.00 and I never received any service or product. In addition, his attitude was that of an incredibly annoyed, under educated, for lack of better terms; bitch. I had done nothing but lost $466 and was looking for help...Also, one more caveat, the non refundable lingo is not listed on the website, but rather deep in the small print "terms & agreements" section. it gets better...I called back in to see if there was an option to buy a physical gift card, because there are some 3rd party companies that will buy those from people who are dealing with the same situation...Of course, they don't have gift cards, so that is not an option. When I asked to get a copy of my recorded conversation, and to be sent to a team who would field my complaint the guy told me "it would just come back to him, and the answer is the same"...which in some ways I understand, but again the attitude of these people is incredibly offensive. Overall, I felt that their staff is incredibly un-helpful, rude, and most likely un-happy with their current job, to the point that they are unwilling to help with much of anything. To date, I still have no recorded conversation, I was unable to place a formal complaint, and I'm still out a significant amount of money...They should be ashamed of themselves. I recommend never dealing with this company. I ended up using Pensky, and they gave my family an amazing experience. By all means...stay away!!!
