Horrible experience. As a broker, this company wants 40% of your commission and claims 900 lender access, yet they never seem able to reply to any request or deal submissions. They consistently have excuses and never really review the deals. Polite and professional verbally, the actual response to the deals internally is horrible. There are too many other firms offering better systems for getting funding. Complete waste of time for what they charge. In both cases, for using the service and the commission split. Yes, fee for service in addition to 40%. Still awaiting an acknowledgement of a new submission for over a week. read more

I was very happy with my experience at CommLoan with a gentleman named Mitch. Where my unsatisfactory experience occurred, was when Mitch handed me off to a gentleman named Fred. Fred was very gruff towards me, and overly business minded. Set in his own thoughts about the way he thinks things should go, Fred clearly did not care about the needs of my family or my business concerns, the way that Mitch did. Fred was very regimented and he didn't care to have a pleasant conversation with me, I am guessing, because I brought nothing to the table that he liked to hear. In other words, I was unorganized and I was unprepared, and Fred didn't want to meet with me until I forwarded to him many large documents/files that I was uncomfortable sending to him via email, without even meeting him. I also needed some help and/or advice that Fred was too busy to converse with me about. After my first encounter with Fred, I got upset about a situation that happened after our initial conversation. Therefore, I took the time to write Fred a letter expressing my concerns. I didn't call Fred names, I didn't insult him, at best, perhaps, I might have made an assumption. When I wrote Fred the letter expressing my concerns to him, I was further shunned by Fred. People can make or break your day. In my opinion, if you want to have a great day, I would suggest NOT going to CommLoan for your financial needs, especially if you're not able to dot your 'i's or cross your 't's to their exact rigid standard. They (Fred) are to busy for mistakes and will belittle you if you bring up a concern that points out an error in their direction. Perhaps CommLoan is perfect for the big professional businesses with smart people and a lot of money, such as McDonald's or Walmart, or Discount Tire, etc. But in my particular case, being a small business owner, and not knowing a lot about proper business loan etiquette, (because I have never done one before) there was absolutely no room for error in Fred's judgemental world. In my opinion CommLoan staff (Fred) are not willing to help you problem solve when a situation arises that needs extra attention "outside of the box." Nor are they (Fred) willing to transfer you to an individual that might be better experienced (and patient) with a novice such as myself. When I needed extra help in an area that I was not able to figure out quick enough during a conversation, Fred at CommLoan not only made me feel stupid and unvalued as a human being, he also dropped me like a hot potato while carefully pointing out my mistakes, and not admitting to his own. Fred was not willing to attempt to resolve the situation that actually might have only been a misunderstanding. It definitely was coincidental the situation that happened to me that was denied by Fred. Fred didn't even ask me for proof regarding the fact that I was trying to address with him in my letter. I do not know any of the other employees that work at CommLoan other than Mitch and Fred. FTR, Mitch is an exceptional individual and Mitch listened to my needs and he seemed to be genuinely concerned with my situation as a small business owner and a single mother of three. I can't say enough nice things about Mitch. But I would only recommend CommLoan if you are lucky enough to have Mitch as your loan officer. If you are passed onto Fred, run, run, run so you don't end up writing a letter about your bad experience with Fred like I am! The world needs more Mitch's!! read more

This organization is very unprofessional. As a lender, they made accusations about my business accusing us of being a broker when we are direct. They had not placed a deal with us so it seemed discriminatory being a black-owned company. We spent a lot of time evaluating deals for them and submitting quotes. So, it was very rude of them to do that when we gave them no reason to. I was very disappointed in how they handled us. When I reached out to the SVP of Operations Lyndsay Rogers she accused me of being unprofessional because I told the agents we issue terms, order title, insurance, and docs in our name. That we have no broker fees we are direct and they accused me of not being a lender and were very rude to me and said they had to end the relationship because I was not direct. Therefore, I told them they were full of sh**. Definitely, the unprofessional ones making such bold accusations. Told me what type of business we handle and I was being truthful. As a result, I let them know I would not want to do business with an organization like CommLoan. read more
