I've used their service for dog walking for my two dogs while I was at work. They text me a report during each visit and send a picture of my dogs. Karen has been our walker for the last several months and she is a very talented photographer!! Attached are some of the shots she sent me. How nice is it to receive these pictures to brighten my day?? All of the walkers are always concerned about the health and happiness of my 'boys'. On occasion my husband has been home when Karen pulls up and he said the boys bark and are always so excited to see her....her arrival means fun is in store!! I highly recommend Jen and her team! They are not only very reasonably priced, but they are professional, reliable and just plain nice folks!!

All the sitters are screened and background checked, so I feel secure using this service. The service always schedules an initial meet and greet visit before the actual sitting service. The sitters have all been very professional and friendly, as well as respectful of our home. They have provided excellent care for my cats. They take the time to interact with the cats after feeding and cleanup happens. They provide daily feedback on the app via messages and photos. I love that detail! They even bring in my mail and take out the garbage the evening before garbage day, if I request the service. The app makes it extremely easy to create an account with the service, as well as book visits, pay your invoices online and communicate with the team. Everyone is very responsive and helpful. I couldn't ask for a better pet sitting team than Jen's Happy Pets!

Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue - Frosty!

Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue

This isn't technically an animal shelter, but Yelp doesn't have any better options. Harnessed to…read moreHope (HTH) is a breed-specific rescue agency with a focus on Northern breeds (Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, American Eskimos, Samoyeds, Keeshonds, Norwegian Elkhounds, and related mixes). In other words, they take in needy dogs and volunteers provide foster homes for them until the agency is able to find a "fur-ever" permanent adoptive home. And this is how the amazing, adorable Siberian Husky named Frosty came into my life. The adoption process was amazingly simple (paper application, interview, provide three references). The last step is a home visit on the day of your adoption--they brought three dogs I had seen on the website to my home so I could meet each of them. And...an hour later, I was a new dog owner. Post-adoption, there's an e-mail group to share questions, a blog with updates of adopted dogs, and the agency does a great job of following up to see if you need any help. I've found that if I e-mail them with questions, I would get prompt, thorough replies, which was much appreciated. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a furball to be a part of your life (and as if it were even a question, adoption is definitely the way to go). Note: They only adopt to people living in eastern PA, southern NJ, and parts of MD and DE. Tip: Available dogs are posted on their website with a description and picture, and you can e-mail foster homes directly to get more information.

Karen hired my child for 16$ an hour cash pay to clean out the kennels. Then randomly fired my child, saying she hired someone else with "reliable transportation" my child's father was driving them both days a week and Karen knew that's upon hire. When my child asked about pay for the 4 hours Karen told my child they dont pay for training. At No point did Karen discuss non payment for training prior to this, my child thought they had the job as Karen actually Hired them, my child didn't think this was unpaid training. My bothers called to get Karen to Honor the 16$ an hour pay that Karen owe my Autistic teen. And she said she'd only pay 10$ if this is how Karen treats people imagine how she treats the dogs. Let Karen know how you feel about talking advantage of Autistic teenagers and her dishonesty.

I brought my Fiancé to Icewind as a surprise for his birthday so that we could check out the facilities and make sure that we were comfortable getting a dog from them. The facilities are tremendous - she has so much room for the pups to run around. Karen really seems to care about the pups and is very knowledgeable. It is true that she is not the most tech savvy person, so I wouldn't expect videos or photos. But, we asked to see the puppy that we were thinking of getting during our visit and she politely declined saying that she was unable to because he didn't have all of his shots yet. We got Scout about four months ago and we are so happy with him. Shibas typically are not affectionate dogs, which we were concerned about but Karen mentioned that her Shibas cuddle. Scout does NOT disappoint - his is a lovebug and loves to be held! She also mentioned the average litter size in general for Shiba Inus is ~3 but her litter size is typically around 4-5. This is totally speculation, but I feel like these are just indicative of pups being happy on how they have been bred and great breeding conditions. Everyone comments on how beautiful Scout is and how great his coat looks. We stuck with Karen's recommendations for a raw food diet - she is for sure passionate about this point but she did give us instructions for transitioning him off of raw food if we wanted to. I never once felt like she thought we were going to take poor care of our pup or like she was lecturing us. She is just a very passionate person about her pups' health. Scout came with all of his papers and had zero health issues when we took him to the vet. We really enjoyed our interactions and would definitely consider getting another pup from here. In terms of the Cream colored Shiba comment below, I would refer to the following article to learn a little more about it as I'm not sure that they are the albino equivalent (https://myfirstshiba.com/cream-shiba-inu/).

I wish they had given me more background information on the beautiful Siamese I adopted in April,…read moreother than she was from Puerto Rico I didn't see that her ear was tipped until after I adopted her. But I just kept telling myself there was no way this beautiful cat that adored my husband and I and never left out sides could have been part of a colony. And why would no one want her for 11 months She was doing fine until November when she suddenly was not herself. An emergency vet visit and stay determined she was suffering from feline coronavirus-unfortunately there is no way to test for this, especially the fatal FIP, which can lie dormant in cats that may have been part of colony or sheltered long term. This precious beauty left us during a second emergency visit on December 9; there was nothing that could be done. When a vet gives you a "look" when asking from whom you adopted, it's not a good thing. It took 5 years for me to consider getting another cat and now, I don't think I ever will again. She's chasing angels now.

She is the founder of Lost Paws Animal Rescue. 47 Cats, Dogs Removed From Animal Rescue Owner's Home In NJ Many of the pets had upper respiratory infections, where they couldn't breathe or see, serious leg injuries, and had fleas and parasites. Alexis Tarrazi, Patch Staff Verified Patch Staff Badge Posted Mon, Aug 18, 2025 at 1:20 pm ET Updated Mon, Aug 18, 2025 at 4:49 pm ET PITTSTOWN, NJ - Just under 50 cats and dogs were reportedly pulled from an animal rescue owner's home in Pittstown on Monday. Annie Trinkle, Executive Director of the 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer-led Animal Alliance, told Patch her organization was told a couple of days before the raid to prepare to take in the large amount of animals. On Monday at around 8 a.m., authorities went to Geralyn "Lyn" Serino's home in Pittstown, who runs the Lost Paws Animal Rescue. "At this time, we have no comment," said Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office(HCPO) Community Outreach Liaison Samantha Iraca to Patch when asked for information on the raid. "The conditions in the home were deplorable," said Trinkle, who added that the smell was terrible. The pets were "emaciated, they were showing clear signs of major upper respiratory infection, where they couldn't breathe, or see properly," said Trinkle to Patch. "One of them had a serious injury to its leg. They were just very, very clearly sick with something. And the rest of them had fleas and parasites, and at least half of them have upper respiratory infections," said Trinkle. Animal Alliance in West Amwell took in 22 cats and seven dogs, Crown Veterinary Specialists in Lebanon for emergency treatment of six cats, eight cats were also sent to Tabby's Place in Ringoes, and Somerset Regional Animal Shelter confirmed to Patch that they will be taking in around four cats. Trinkle also said Outcast Rescue and Animal Control Solutions helped with transporting the animals.
