The office ladies can often make or break a doctors office, and I've had my share of cranky ones. These gals are pretty great and always very helpful. They never seem to back up too much or schedule appointments on top of each other, but they always are able to squeeze you in if you have a sick kid... how do they do it? The nurses are also top-notch and I don't envy the job they have to do. Especially with the little ones, their day seems to involve a lot of needles and screaming. If you're looking for a pediatrician in the Boulder/Broomfield/Louisville area, check them out. Last I checked, they have privileges at Boulder Community, Avista, and Children's Hospital in Broomfield.

My son ended up hospitalized with Kawasaki Disease and the specialist at Children's told us that I did the right thing to bring my son to them because this disease can significantly hurt his cardiovascular system if not treated. Rude nurses and Dr. that doesn't listen to moms! We might not be doctors but we have instincts that science can't explain! if you cant listen to mom you are not a good doctor.

Though we have multiple pediatric offices just five minutes from home, we gladly make the 25 minute drive because we know we're getting the best care. It had been just over a year since his last well visit because he needed a sports physical for high school and the office wasn't able to schedule his well visit appointment before the form was due (in two weeks time). Because he got the physical, we didn't schedule a well visit right away. Doctor Knott refused to call in the prescription (even a single tablet dose). So, my son had to just endure the migraine untreated. The lack of flexibility in this situation was stunning to me. We'd been at this practice for many years and yet they were completely unwilling to help us out in an emergency situation by simply calling in a single dose, knowing what my son was experiencing. This office has always been very rigid in a number of ways, but this experience was really disheartening and we won't be going there again.
