Privacy and space for a family member to sit with a paient during Chemotherapy. Their space is NOT private, and 2 small, they do not even have Privacy when the doctors come to see the patient. i I was asked to sit in the waiting area for the infusion. read more

Retired RN here. My daughter went to the ER tonight, per another doctors urgent recommendation. She is 41 years old and had not needed any medical care for the past 20 years, until recently. She has a caretaker and is disabled, she cannot drive due to her condition so I had to arrange transportation. The female nurses treated her like a piece of garbage. They were talking and laughing about her at the nurses station and my daughter could hear them talking about her private medical information with each other. They were belittling her and laughing, whispering at the nurses station. My daughter wanted to leave AMA and was threatened if she did, they would refuse to provide her with much needed referrals. I called the House Supervisor and put in a complaint for which my daughter was retaliated against for this. Her snotty nurse came in to give her the discharge paperwork and held them above her head with her hip cocked to the side, to where my daughter could not reach them and said in a high pitch snotty tone, "I hear you want to talk to the soup??" My daughter said "who is the soup?" She said "the Supervisor". Very inappropriate treatment, total lack of professionalism. We will NEVER return to this hospital and I will NEVER recommend anyone going there. My daughter was literally treated like garbage and nothing was treated, nothing was done. They ruled out drugs/etoh (she does neither), and was released. Useless waste of time to be treated like a homeless drug addict (not that they should be treated negatively either as we are all children of God), and for them to use the St Mary's name, nothing was sacred with this ER experience. One issue is that my daughter cannot swallow, the doctor never even looked at her neck or throat. The doc never even touched her! What a waste of time and money. She will wind up at different ER/Urgent Care tomorrow as they did nothing for her urgent health issue (no ultrasound, no scope, nothing). I went to school for nursing in 1985 and boy, have things changed. I am appalled by their behavior, in fact, infuriated how they treated my daughter who was taken there in hopes of being placed in good hands. There is no care in this "healthcare" system. Go to Colorado Springs or Denver, it's worth the drive for humane and professional care. read more

Went to the ER end of January. The healthcare professionals were warm and friendly! Special mention to the guy who did my ECG, the lady who offered me a blanket, Tracy at the CT scan, and the doctor who attended to me plus the rest of the staff. read more

Radiology, Dr. Johnson , refused to biopsy a lump on my wife's breast (cancer survivor), referred us to PenRad in Colorado Springs. Not a full service complete facility. Probably should go somewhere else for your care. read more

When you are visiting family from being out of state the last thing you want to visit is the Hospital! Fortunately we weren't to far from Centura St. Mary-Corwin Hospital which was possibly by far one of the best Hospitals I have ever had to deal with. The emergency department was phenomenal, the security guard even helped my mother onto a wheelchair and the nurses took control right away! They found life back into my mother which I am extremely grateful for. The doctor was enlightening and very straight to the point, He was so professional yet so encouraging towards our family. He found the problem and with no hesitation sent my mother to a more serious patient hospital. I want to thank the hospital with so much love and gratitude, May the best stay with them. read more

Today (3/19/18) we had family trip to ER because my 2yr old daughter was up all night vomiting and the urgent care I called said d to just take her to the hospital incase she needed an IV. We got there after 9am and paper work went fast, triage nurse was patient and nice, the PA (I think that was his title & I thought his name was Jeff?) was comforting and our nurse ( the board in the room said Genny) went above and beyond!!! She brought stickers for both kids and took my4 year old to help pick them out and help bring back crackers. The visit went quickly (not that I wanted to rush a visit to the ER) but I was definitely impressed! Thanks to them my kids are not terrified of the ER and want to go back..... My 14yo son had to have emergency surgery for a broken leg from a bike accident at scout summer camp, and they brought him here. I was not at camp, but in Houston, so I flew in the next morning and have spent the last two and a half days at the hospital with him as he's recovered. The care he's received - the attention to everything we both needed - has been amazing. Every single doctor, nurse, therapist, social worker, admin person, etc. has been super supportive and helpful and so incredibly caring. I couldn't have asked for better care for my boy given the circumstances. And now, to top it off, the fact that we are driving home to Houston (14 hours away) had the surgeon so concerned about his circulation that they provided us with a portable SED for the car ride, at no cost to us, because insurance wouldn't cover, and it was going to be a pricey out of pocket expense. That's what I would call going above and beyond. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the food that's been sent up for my boy hasn't been all that great, so he's been struggling to eat enough. It's not awful, but could be improved. Otherwise, I thank everyone at this hospital for making us feel so comfortable and taken care of so far from home! read more

I needed a CT and mammogram. Scheduling, registration and imaging were very smooth and efficient. I received text messages confirming the appointments, which was convenient. Everyone patient facing were helpful and friendly. My test results were delivered to my inbox just a few hours after the imaging! A first in my experience. read more

My Dad had hip replacement. They did a good job. Thanks so much to the workers here. He was in & out in less then 5 days. They place was clean and nice. I always do my mammogram every year in October. I was so satisfied that they had an appointment on Saturday. I just started a new job and didn't wanna miss work but didn't want to miss my mammogram either. The technician was great made me feel comfortable and everything went well and I will be scheduling next year again. read more

These types of appointments are always uncomfortable and awkward but SMC makes it much easier to endure. My health is important to me and the staff at SMC makes it their priority also. I appreciate them. read more

Care was great. But be warned you will have to pay $350.00 dollars while you are waiting to be seen, and I have insurance. Also recieved a bill for another $340 a week later for same visit! So an E.R. Visit for a person with insurance will be around $690. read more

I feel comfortable knowing these people really do care about your health , I had a MRI to do I was having some problems and the lady did everything she can do to make me comfortable and was so caring , The staff here really do a wonderful job to take care of health care and I would definitely recommend here , Thank you ! Our daughter was born at St Mary Corwin, and we're so grateful to the staff there. It seemed as if the entirety of the maternity ward was there for us, and the environment was quiet and serene. After our daughter was born, and we discovered a couple dozen infants in the nursery, we realized it was actually one of the busiest birthing weekends in the hospital's history. Yet, you never would've known it. That entire floor was calm, serene, and full of staff who had full control of a challenging environment. read more

I am a traveling nurse an essential worker just as those employed at this hospital. Maybe I'm considered unique in my nursing approach because i go above and beyond for every patient I care for Especially one of my own Be it wounded ,sad or sick. I presented to er , I left work to be seen as my issue was interfering with me and I'm concerned because if I can't walk I cant work . the staff was professional and I got right in. The Dr(. Halle) was nice and explained what he thought might be the issue and told.me take advil. Here is my issue. I came to ER With major pain, I clocked out from making money to go be seen and spend money because i felt like i wasnt going to be able to continue working like that. I've been a nurse 25 years , and I have never felt so underappreciated or disrespected in my entire career. No labs to rule out gout, no xray to make sure there was no break, no MRI ordered or suggested, no othro consult or even a number to be seen by one asap, no brace to help walk, told go buy one at cvs, no excuse for work just advised to stay off of it but i have to go back to work as soon as i leave the er. No offer for anything for pain absolutley nothing.... I can not take any nsaid but it was suggested go head one dose wont hurt. Advised to wrap it not even a freaking ace bandage to help me get through the rest of my night shift. I'm disgusted that is what acute emergency care looks like now. I'm.not a drug seeker, I did't even ask for anything but some help ,some concern some relief. I'm so disappointed read more

First things first, a disclaimer if you have to describe it; make sure you absolutely know who your going to see and the exact address. I had an appointment this morning at 8:45, we; you all know who "we" is, but did not show up until closer to 9:00 due to lack of communication among staff. I was told to go to St. Mary's Corwin in Pueblo off Lakeview. Umm nope, so we got sent to another St. Mary's Corwin south Pueblo, yep no go. And by this time I'm half frustrated and ready to give up. So back close to Highway 50 to north Pueblo. GGRRRR. We finally made it to the correct address and, *gasp* the doctor was actually there. Another disclaimer if you must have is never never be late or even call to say your running late. In a way it feels like you'll be punished by waiting close to an hour and a half before your being seen. Sure I understand the doctors may have other patients to see, but c'mon really? I guess I have to put something positive. The x-ray tech was awesome as was the actual doctor. I would totally go back and see them again, and no this comment was not sarcastic as I really enjoyed my visit, especially when I got behind the waiting room doors. I would only recommend this place if you know where your going. But if you want fun and very personable staff while trying to get your arm fixed or other injury, go here. read more

Very displeased with Dr. Edelson. My husband had a colonoscopy on August 27, 2018 and found out he had Crohns. He was all for treating him with a very expensive drug which Medicare denied. My husband ask him about the possibility of using herbs and now Dr. Edelson refuses to see him again. My husband is a very sick man and needs treatment. What kind of doctor refuses to see a patient. Very unhappy with Dr. Edelson and I hope someone with authority reads this! read more

One of the nicer hospitals in pueblo. Care depends greatly on who you get and when. Inpatient care is equally as iffy. Records are lost often, online portal often fails or is very slow. If you must use a hospital in pueblo, this one is preferable over Parkview. Better yet, go to another city. read more

From reception to specialist's bedside manner was confusing and/or less than friendly. But the reason I will NEVER use this hospital or network again is because of the VERY confusing billing system that ended up with me being reported to the credit bureau, even though I was attempting to pay my balance. After 4 1/2 months of trying to get this straightened out and many phone conversations with the collection representatives at Centura Health, the problem apparently occurred because I was using online bill pay. If I had just written FOUR paper checks & snail mailed them in FOUR separate envelopes to the FOUR different account numbers from TWO office visits & ONE procedure, this would have worked and I never would have ended up in collections & reported to the credit bureau. This is the only time I've ever had confusion using online bill pay. Of course their very contemporary billing department who thinks that all of their customers have the same knowledge as their employees, say that I wasn't communicating with them & that referencing my checking account debits with reference numbers wasn't proof of payment. All I know is that now I have to try to clear up my damaged credit rating!! However. . .I had an appendectomy 3 years ago & totally different experience!! Couldn't have been better & everything from admission to final payment was effortless & painless, which is why I chose to use St. Mary-Corwin again. But based on this recent experience, I'll never use any provider in the Centura Health network again! read more

This hospital doesn't follow it's core values when it comes to its financial department. It is difficult when a loved one has cancer and the bills that pile up. Through this journey in my mothers cancer treatment we were at numerous facilities. All worked with us on finances except St. Mary Corwin. They were rude and flat out jerks! They have no care, concern or respect for their clients. They will verbally agree to payments and even when you make those payments and never miss they will turn you over to collections with no warning or notification. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!! They will not work with you financially. Better option is go down the street to ParkView Hospital. Better care and definately better ran business wise! read more
