Update Nov 2016- WE NO LONGER HAVE PARKING LOT ISSUES! They are there LAST and FIRST of the months to ensure proper tags and registrations. Very happy about the service we have gotten. They towed my car where there were no signs. They claimed it was a fire lane. I had to call the police to find who took my car. Police gave me the number and I called. Police receommended to write a letter and get receipt to give to the landlord due to illegal signage. First no one picked up. Second ring a man picked up and send my driver will call me in a few. Driver does not call, after 30min later we call again. The man picked up and said the same thing. They would not provide an address of where my car is located when I called. Third call a woman picks up and said your driver is on there way and will be there in 30min. 30min go by and still no car. I call again the women says your driver had to change a spare tire on the way. An hour and a half goes by and the same women who I was speaking with on the phone was the driver in the tow truck. The woman said they only accept cash, money order, or certified bank check. We gave her $355 and asked receipt. She provided no receipt and said we will get a digital receipt the next morning. I call again the next morning and they said I will get my receipt in a few. I received my receipt close to noon the next day. The receipt requires my signature which they don't have, which says that I received my car in good condition. This was an awful experience and the women tow truck driver claims they put signs up when they are notified they are down. My sister has lived in that complex for 5 years there has never been a sign for fire lane! read more

HORRIBLE! Towed my vehicle, I called and they would not tell me the location of the car, said call back the next day. Next day I started calling at 10 they said call back at 11 but gave me a 2:30 appointment to retrieve the car. Called back at 11 no answer until 11:15. She said I'm just a dispatcher you have a 2:30 appointment to pick up the car and you will get a text with instructions and fees. An hour later, no text . Called back oh it can take up to 30 minutes to get the text. Called back, oh I'll let the manager know you called. Mind you they close at 4. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I lived in Easton almost 5 years now, going to the same smoke shop / cosmo prof. I swear this guys was in the parking lot just stalking because I legit got to cosmo, my car was outside not even 2 MINUTES, he came in screamed in who's car is this I ran and it was already hooked up. Literally freaking 2 minutes in the store, this NEVER HAPPENED TO me! first they wanted to charge 250, then lowered it down to 200, if I didn't pay it'll be 380 at the lot ? What the actual f. Insanely unprofessional "business" if you can even call it that. Their building has no signage, no prices shown. I was charged tons of ridiculous fees to which I cannot even explain what they were for since I was refused an itemized list of exactly what I was paying for. When I demanded a list of these fees the "employees" refused and sped off. When I finally just gave in and paid the ridiculously high cost to have my car released, they didn't even ask for anything to prove I was the vehicle's owner. This "business" also has no website or any trace of them on Google, and accepts payment through cash, just handed to them and pocketed. No receipt or documentation provided. Driver said he wouldn't wreck his truck towing my car which was in my drive way.Not sure why he said that because my driveway is flat and 25 feet wide.Maybe because I bothered him while he was sitting up the street from my house eating a pizza instead of actually trying to tow my car to a service station.When he did pull up to my driveway his attitude sucked to the point I didn't want him towing my car.So I told him I would get somebody else .When I called the company to complain about him I was told that he was sitting in his truck trying to contact me for half an hour but my phone was busy.I checked my security cameras and he was sitting for 2 minutes when I happened to walk out to my car to get insurance papers out of it then I saw the truck.Got another company the guy had my car on the roll back in 15 minutes just like a true professional. read more

Parked in an unclearly marked lot for less than 5 minutes and came back to my car being hooked up to the tow truck. When I pleaded for them to stop hooking up my car he said he could not because he was already here. He said, "I'll stop for $275 cash." He would not wait while I found an ATM and said "if you don't have the money now it's $300 at my lot." When I asked where his lot was he pointed and said "over there" (the lot was actually about 10 minutes away from where he took my car). He then gave me a business card WITH NO ADDRESS. He left me in a parking lot on the South Side of Bethlehem with no way to get home and suggested I walked to find an ATM. read more

We parked our car for 10 minutes in a lot that had no signage to load it with our 4-ways on in Easton. We came out immediately to our car up in the lift and ready to go. There were a couple of guys standing there smoking cigarettes (highly unprofessional) and all they said was "$200 to drop it". In desperate need for our vehicle, we handed it over and I asked for a receipt and they said they would give it to me after they dropped the car. They got in the truck, dropped it and drove away. No receipt. No nothing. I need a receipt for reimbursement and I've called a handful of times and they keep saying they are going to have their boss call me. DO NOT use this towing company! I had a flat tire and no spare so I needed to have my car towed to a car repair shop in Whitehall. First of all, the guy called me asking why I am I needing service like I was bothering him. Then he wanted me to drive my car onto the back of his flatbed! I couldn't hear or see what he wanted me to do. After he did it himself (like he was supposed to in the first place) he told me "See it's as simple as that!" Commonwealth Asset Recovery was sent through the roadside assistance I receive through my insurance. They were advised I needed a flatbed and that the vehicle WAS NOT to be started as it had starter issues. Why my insurance company would send a REPO company (which are known for purposely being destructive with vehicles) at all is beyond me. The tow guy not only DID NOT bring a flatbed, but cussed at me when I asked him repeatedly NOT to start the vehicle, but then forced the ignition and hit the gas so hard it blew my engine. He then left myself and friend stranded there, AND billed my insurance, saying I was not there when he arrived. $4500+ damages to my vehicle, 4 weeks later and they and Agero, the roadside assistance company my insurance company outsources to, have not resolved the issue. You'd think the insurance fraud alone (billing with a fraudulent claim I wasn't there) would be enough to make this a matter of importance to insurance or Agero. Stay far away from Commonwealth Asset Recovery. Not only will they destroy your car and leave you stranded, their workers are the type of people you know batter women and kick dogs. It smelled of cigarettes, alcohol and was extremely dirty. I asked the driver why i smelled alcohol, he was rude, and told me to worry about myself. In September of 2014, I hit a deer at 12:45 pm on a Friday...I killed the deer and damaged my Mercedes. At the time, I was moving and had things in my car to move. At the scene, and after the towed my car, I told them in person and again on the phone, that I wanted my car locked because I had valuables inside. I went there on the following Tuesday, a few days after the accident, and found that my car wasn't in the locked impound lot, but was next to their house, and unlocked. It took me 20 minutes to get someone's attention. Meanwhile, I was taking things out of my car that I needed. My keys were on the console of my car, open. I complained about it to the tow truck driver's brother, then locked it. The following Monday, I met the adjuster at my car...it had been moved into the locked impound yard, and the car was locked. The adjuster totaled my car. I was told that afternoon by the chief adjuster in Ohio that my car was being towed on Friday morning, and I had until then to get my belongings out of the car. Thursday, I called C.A.R.S. to get in to the impound lot and get my belongings, and my car was already towed on Wednesday morning. I called the chief adjuster, who was surprised that it was towed early, and she called me back to tell me who had it and where...she also called them and told them not to touch anything because it was mine. When I got there, the company told me that C.A.R.S. had the car unlocked, on the street, with the keys in the ignition from Tuesday night until when it was picked up on Wednesday morning at 7 am. There was $1,500+ stolen from my car before it was towed...tools, personal items and two TV remotes. I had to take them to court for their mishandling of my car and the theft that resulted. Place smells fishy and even though there employees had a foul odor to them that wasn't it. Car supposedly got towed for private parking at a grocery store C-Town in Allentown. They had no paper work nor pictures and only accepted cash . The grocery store manager and tow company have a contract from what they claim and car was towed 30min into my shopping . No proper invoice just a carbon copy with no fees stated , no time of incident, no location car was picked up . Don't ever get your car towed by them. So the other night I called for a tow the driver came and picked up my car was supposed to take it to a garage that I chose. The driver took my car to the garage parked it on the street instead of in their lot and because he couldn't get my key out of the ignition decided to just leave my window down with the key in the ignition overnight on the street. Not a very professional way to do business. I called the tow truck driver to try to discuss with him he hung up on me I've been waiting for the owner to contact me back still no answer.The dispatcher seems to think this is all my fault and doesn't want to help me either. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone and then when you call the phone it sounds like I don't even know what they don't even say the business name they just say hello didn't even know if I was calling the right place. These guys were heroes on Saturday, 2/10/18! My van broke down 8 hours from home with myself, my daughter and two show dogs headed to Westminster for the dog show. They towed us to their shop, ran a diagnostic on my van, found the problem, tried to find out if it was a recall/warranty issue, tried to get the part and then, when they found out it would be two days to get the part, figured out a way to get us to our hotel which was still 1.5 hours away with the van, luggage and dogs with minimal out-of-pocket. Additionally, when the dealership was unable/unwilling to work with us to get us back to KY in a timely manner, they worked with my husband (via phone from KY) to try and find a local mechanic or get it back to them. I was super stressed but they worked with me to get things figured out and made sure my daughter got to the hotel in time to get rested for a presentation she had to make at 9am for the Road Scholar Program with the dogs in NYC the next morning. I had my vehicle towed by this company for what they said was parked on private property. When I called to get my vehicle back I explained to them that I was not parked on private property, I was parked on city property. When asked if they towed for the city their response was no. I asked them why then would they tow a car when it wasn't in fact parked on private property, but of course they all place blame on each other. "Oh I wasn't the one that towed you", or "I don't know, I was just told to come let you get your car." I showed pictures of where I was parked to prove that there was NOT ONE private parking sign anywhere near my car. I emailed Jess E a VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL email....I would have expected the same respect in a reply, instead I DIDN'T EVEN GET A RESPONSE. Completely ignored my requests, or an explanation as to why they towed my car without good reason. I don't even know why I'm writing this review because it's not like it will matter, but MAYBE some half wit that works at this company will read this, since my email apparently was disregarded. I was in Allentown tonight and as I came outside they were towing my car. They said they would drop it for $265 because I need it for work in the morning. I agreed and they said they would meet us up the street where there was an ATM. I have a broken toe and am stuck in a walking boot... When we got to the Valero where they said there was an arm, we found the gas station closed and they took off with my car!!! I walked about 6 blocks and after calling and getting into and argument with the manager I turned to the police and they refuse to do anything. I was stuck in a bad section of Allentown at night with a walking boot.
