I went in for a preliminary, meet and greet kind of checkup. The staff was super welcoming and everything was running smoothly to the point that I didn't even have a chance to sit down in the waiting room. The nurse called me back as I was standing at the "window". Vitals were taken and I was asked the usual intake questions. The nurse had me get into a gown and I wasn't even able to check my email before the doctor was knocking to come in. I was very impressed by the comprehensive depth of questions asked during this first appointment. Dr Mansilla is soft spoken and empathetic. She is deeply inquisitive, her aim to gather as much medical history as possible. She tops it all off with a comforting sense of humor. I need to say that my first choice for a new Medicare friendly practice was the one my husband has been going to for years. It is much closer to my house. I learned that practice is not taking new patients for several months. My initial plan was to see Dr Mansilla only once because I was in need of a prescription refill. Change of plans!! I will be staying right here. I'm looking forward to a long and healthy relationship with these fine people! Oh, I almost forgot to mention how quickly my lab results were available. 48 hours quick. Nice!

It's Feb and we've already been here twice. The first time, my oldest son needed to get stitches…read morebecause he fell during sensory hour at a trampoline place. The front desk was/is AMAZING. It was my first time taking my son to the ER and you can def tell I had the mommy jitters. I didn't know what to expect and bringing my son who is nonverbal, autistic, and ADHD...you just worry as a momma. The nurses and doc in the back were fantastic. We were there for about 2.5-3 hours, which I think makes sense because we also had to get my son some of their numbing ointment before performing the stitches. They were so informative and so understanding with my son. The doc was fantastic with my son when doing the stitches and def quick hands. At the end of this visit, he ended up walking out with 3 stitches. 2nd Visit - my son woke up with the right side of his face super swollen. It was 6:30 in the morning and I literally put on a jacket and took him straight here. I also couldn't think of another place that was open at that time and his pediatrican didn't open up until 8 so...you can see why I decided here. There is Urgent Care parking next to the building and since I'm experienced I was able to bring a packed backpack with things to keep him occupied. We got checked in and brought to the back quickly like the last time. The nurses were fantastic and listened to our concern and what was going on with our little guy (nothing new, no new detergent, no new foods - what is going on?!) They kept me updated along the way with EVERYTHING they were planning on doing and explaining the reason why. It was scary but relieving at the same time. We ended up getting admitted to the hospital upstairs (which I am so grateful I decided to take him to the UR here). Again, everyone in the ER were wonderful and I HIGHLY recommend this place for kids. Thank you!

So, when my son was having trouble breathing and we took him to St. Mary's in the middle of the…read morenight, I wasn't even thinking that they had a pediatric ER! We headed to the regular side and the kind men in the vestibule stopped us and directed us to another door, which was the opening to the pediatric ER. The whole experience was great. We were able to check in immediately, then we waited about 45min for triage. Once we got in to triage, they did a quick explanation of what was going on and sent us to a room immediately. I really appreciated that, as breathing issues are nothing to play with. It was extremely validating that they saw fit to treat us right away. Once we were in the room, the doctor came in within about 5-10 minutes. He was nice, but kind of loud and quick? I don't know how else to explain it. He wasn't my absolute favorite, but he got the job done. Let us know what was going on, and ordered x rays and treatment. The x rays were done shortly after and then a nurse came in to give meds. The only negative I would say is that we sat there waiting for a really long time without any explanation of what was going on. I thought we were waiting for them to start a certain treatment on my son, but they never came and did it. So finally someone came in to check on him and updated me that they decided not to do the treatment, that he looked good, and I guess all the wait was for them to observe him to see if he got better after the initial dose of meds. All fine and good! I just wish that someone had updated us on the treatment plan so we knew why we were waiting. Anyway, we were discharged around 2:30am and my son was definitely showing signs of improvement. I was really happy with the nurse who helped us. She was an angel and continued to ask us if we had any questions, which we did and she answered so patiently. Kidmed is only open from 2pm-8 or 9pm, and of course the doctor's office is only open during business hours, so whenever my kids get sick outside of those hours, I am definitely coming back to the St. Mary's Pediatric ER!

He takes the time to listen and really cares about your health and well being. This brand new office has a large and welcoming waiting room, short wait times and friendly and welcoming staff. Their technology is also a major hurdle; the check-in texts send you to forms that don't work, and their app doesn't actually facilitate insurance uploads or check-ins as promised. Combined with the high staff turnover, it's lost the reliability it once had. I'm hoping things get better soon.

So now I'm looking at my pharmacy app and these folks have stoper perscribing my Nitroglycerin High blood pressure meds Blood thinner Statins Now Im no doc...and far from a rocket scientist but I'm almost certain it's EXTRMEMELY dangerous to stop taking my high blood pressure med and blood thinner abruptly ..not advised. Yet there it it in black and white prescriber denied refill requests ( 3 times ) Sooo the medication I've been taking for over a year is now far too dangerous to prescribe ? I feel it's much more dangerous not to prescribe ...but I've not attended med school ...so that's not fair to say. But the meds I take are common everyday prescribed 1st line medications . Nothing exotic or needing to be monitored like warfrin or anything like that. Sure enough my hcG level of 208 from Tuesday (when I did LabCorp ondemand) went all the way down to a 48, so more than likely I am suffering a miscarriage. If only they let me get blood work done when I called at first, they would've caught the potential miscarriage early...

Lobby is clean and my children love looking all the fish tank and all the colorful fish while waiting in the lobby. Due to COVID-19 Chippenham Pediatrics has a new system for check-in that I highly recommend. The new check-in system is electronic. Once you arrive for your scheduled appointment you can now check-in online and you are asked to wait in the parking lot until your room is ready. When your room/provider is ready you will receive a phone call to come inside and you will be directed straight to your room to meet with your provider. We have been impressed with the quality of care and glad we decided to switch to Chippenham Pediatrics.

He actually takes his time with your children and isn't "in and out" within 5 minutes. It's sad that you go to other doctor offices questioning things when you leave because it seems like you spent more time with the nurse than the doctor. I have seen my fair share of pediatricians moving around Ohio, then out to California, and a few other cities in Virginia. Every doctor we have seen at the Harbour Point location has been great. This is by far the best pediatric office we have been to. I highly recommend Dr. Ayers as your child's pediatrician.
