Dr. Wu was friendly and to the point. They were able to fit me in all in one morning for a stress test, echocardiogram, and a holter monitor. They have a portal you can sign up for, and the results were posted pretty quickly, aside from the 24-hour holter since that required more work. That took about a week. I'm in the clear, so my time here was short and sweet. From what I experienced, it seems like a great cardiology office.

I was told by their records company that they have no medical records for my treatment and I was inpatient for 5 days after surgery! I tried calling administrators and couldn't get through to anyone. Apparently they just don't care what patients think and definitely not about how they feel.

The doctor was rude and passive, annoyed I couldn't give exact dates when I told him I can barely see the words on my phone but can give him the timeline. His attitude was abrasive and I asked for a female doctor which he snapped there were none just him and to deal with it, then a nurse ripped open the curtain and said "yeah he's the only doctor and he's already entered your room so you've gotta pay him. That's how it works" I will recite this exact review if I get a bill because I am not paying for negative attitude and people who are exasperated by my need for medical attention. I left immediately in tears and told the front desk how horrible the doctor and nurse were.tried to walk home unsuccessfully and people on the street thought I wa drunk and been assaulted from how upset I was on top of having extreme dizziness and nausea like vertigo. Shame because this place has been recommended to me but I'm not paying for their mean attitude and lack of care for wellbeing. We have several members of our family with very specific health needs and Dr. Carl and his staff keep us up to date so we don't have to remember all of the details! They take care of it for you. Making appointments is as easy as can be. Prescription refills are always checked and evaluated and dispensed appropriately. Cathy is the lead nurse and she is always super organized and extremely helpful and communicative! Colleen is such a sweet and welcoming member of WellcomeMD. I always love seeing her face!:) Heidi is fabulous on the phone and great with communications. She gets the job done! But when it comes to your health, your relationship with your doctor, it's an intimate dynamic because it requires clarity and trust on the part of the doctor and patient. Dr. Carl is so relaxed that he puts his patients at ease immediately. He is thorough and goes through all of your blood panels with you one-on-one and makes excellent suggestions and also is complimentary if he feels that you are doing well. He will prescribe supplementation only if it is reflected as needed in your bloodwork. Personally, my blood pressure zooms up every time I go to the doctor. But with Dr. Carl, he brings it back to normal and puts me at ease. Obviously, my entire family and I are fans of WellcomeMD. I recommend Dr. Carl and Dr. Colfer to everyone I know! As an aside, we drive 1.5 hours each way, just to be a part of their practice. They are THAT good.

Instead, specialist appointments all over the place (need a spreadsheet), less central/ coordinated than ever, and yet another thing to manage, as reminders to contact Wellcome for x, y, z are needed. Worst of all, still no answers. Still no genetic or allergy testing. Zero discussion or advice about supplements, etc., which I expected would be forefront. It's just a pcp gatekeeper, like when you had a pediatrician. Now looking for a new pcp coordinated with specialists (perhaps VCU), somewhere with expertise in areas of need. And sadly (trying not to be sick over it (pun intended)), still have months on the Wellcome contract ($$$ :( ).

I've been coming here since I moved to the area, but lately, the experience has been disappointing…read more It is nearly impossible to get a sick visit at this home location, and I am constantly redirected elsewhere. Their technology is also a major hurdle; the check-in texts send you to forms that don't work, and their app doesn't actually facilitate insurance uploads or check-ins as promised. Combined with the high staff turnover, it's lost the reliability it once had. I'm hoping things get better soon.

At one point I'm sure this facility actually tried and cared about their patients more than their…read morepayments, but those days are gone. The therapists they have working there are excellent, however anyone else you interact with there will not be. You can look forward to a jammed place with clearly overworked therapists who are doing their best, but the systems around them have failed. You can expect bills months after you've stopped that they can't justify and a business owner who truly doesn't bother listening versus hearing his own voice. Be better.

I wasted three weeks trying to get seen by a professional PT. I am so grateful for my friend, Lynn, who steered me toward PT Solutions in Mechanicsville, VA. Professionalism amoung all staff is exceptional. I like the personal care and kind attention from all staff--from Allen, the owner on down. Allision if great and today I got to 113 degrees bending my knee. I'm told many PT's left during Covid is the reason for staffing issues. PT Solutions has figured it out. You will be in good hands with them.

The waiting room is shared with other doctors' offices on that floor, but quite roomy. The entire office (including restrooms) were very clean; the front staff was polite and helpful, as well as the M.A. who did my vitals and EKG was professional yet friendly. Then Dr. Christine Browning, MD arrived; she was quite friendly and had a great sense of humor- which was refreshing- because I'm a former Navy Hospital Corpsman and retired Paramedic with a personality somewhere between comedic and provocative... She actually found a serious issue and set me up with testing right away. I'm glad she put up with me. I'd recommend this practice in a heartbeat! (Pun intended!) Thanks, Doc!

It's very confusing to go from one NP or PA to another for an issue to get settled. Although it was a lot of trouble to change, I want to see a doctor for my heart issues without making a big deal. I also did not like Accuhealth for taking daily blood pressures. Now, I have a nurse that calls me every month to discuss what is going on and make connections for me if an appointment is necessary. I realize medical care is different than a few years back so sometimes you have to take the initiative and be active in your personal healthcare.

The brochure that I received in the hospital in the hospital was not what I experienced here. When…read moreI left the hospital I was able to walk on a walker to get myself to the bathroom. After the staff evaluation, I was placed in a wheelchair and told for my own safety ( with no falls or history of falls) that I needed to remain in this until the next week eval. There reason for keeping me in a chair was because in the hospital my blood sugar was low but at no point while here did they check it. After eval I was not given or told about a PT schedule which is what I was there for. I was also placed in a room with an older female who could not get herself to the bathroom. Before arriving my doctor told me I would be in rehab for 2wks. The staff at the rehab told me I needed to give 30 day notice. I was told to not cry because I was emotional of being there and if I upset other patients then a psych evaluation would be done. I called my doctor and family members before leaving less than 24hrs. The residents I met and PCA were lovely people but that's it. Most of the amenities that were described in the brochure, were either not shown or discussed. When moving around I didn't see these amenities. For example, personal concierge services, onsite beauty salon, vibrant activities and entertainment. The awful Food uncovered was left on my bed table when I came out of the bathroom and I was not shown a dining area.

This place is wonderful. My wife is there for rehab after a long bout with cancer. The care she has…read morereceived has been absolutely first rate. The people there from the nurses to the therapists to the social workers to even the people who clean the facility are uniformly friendly and professional. The staff are very attentive to my wife and the fact that her doctors at VCU check on her there regularly and are in touch on a frequent bases with Beaufont gives me great peace of mind that she is being well cared for. One more thing....the food is even good there. I have never said that about any health care facility before and my wife has been in quite a few over the past year and a half. While I wish my wife were home now, I am thankful that she is getting the care she needs to come back to me fully recovered. Very thankful for their care for my wife.
