I am submitting this review because my experience with the Napa laboratory has left me extremely…read moredisappointed and reluctant to return. A few Fridays ago, I left work early to complete laboratory testing ordered by my physician. Upon arrival, I was informed that one of the tests required fasting, something that had never been communicated to me by my doctor. As a result, I was unable to complete the testing and was told the laboratory could hold the orders so I could return the following Monday. On Monday, I again left work early to have the labs completed. Upon checking in, I was not greeted and simply approached the counter. The phlebotomist, Janae, instructed me to have a seat. When she reviewed the number of tests ordered, she turned to another employee and asked whether he wanted to take my blood draw. He declined. Over the next twenty minutes, I sat and observed Janae repeatedly calling out for another employee named Gloria only to be informed by a coworker that Gloria was not there. During that same period, she repeatedly asked coworkers which collection tubes should be used for my labs and sought assistance from multiple employees regarding the blood draw process. As a patient, it was difficult to feel confident when the person responsible for performing the procedure appeared to be relying heavily on others for basic guidance. At the beginning of the visit, I had informed Janae that I have a significant fear of needles and experience vasovagal responses, including fainting, during blood draws. Given that information, professionalism and reassurance were especially important. Attempting to lighten the mood after observing the situation, I smiled and jokingly asked the employee with glasses, "Are you sure you didn't want to take my blood today?" This was a lighthearted comment based on Janae's earlier question to him. Janae immediately became confrontational, stepping toward me and stating, "I know how to do my job. I know how to do my job." At that point, I no longer felt comfortable proceeding. I informed her that if she was going to respond to me with that attitude, I would leave, and I did exactly that. What concerns me most is that this interaction has left me genuinely uncomfortable returning to the Napa laboratory. I now feel compelled to travel to Vallejo or Vacaville to complete testing because I no longer have confidence in receiving professional, respectful care at this location. No patient should feel anxious about potential retaliation or apprehensive about returning for a routine medical procedure. I reported this incident the same day and left a message with Sandra, who informed me that Tammy would contact me. I followed up again the next day and was told Tammy was unavailable but would return my call. Several weeks have now passed, and I have never received any follow-up communication. The initial failure to communicate fasting requirements wasted my time and required multiple trips. The laboratory experience itself was unprofessional and unsettling. The complete lack of follow-up afterward has only reinforced the impression that patient concerns are not being taken seriously. I hope this review reaches someone willing to address both the conduct I experienced and the apparent lack of accountability that followed.

At first i thought well sometimes people have a bad day, NOPE. The vibe and attitude from staff here is atrocious, downright rotten. Walking in the pharmacy is in your face overloaded tons of people masked up coughing all over the place. Had to go upstairs a few times for optometry, occupational health and again its not a pleasant experience anywhere in this facility. Kaiser doesn't care about you or your well being. I asked the gal at the adult medicine counter downstairs about making an appointment with my doctor to get bloodwork checkup and her face response was like i pooped in her face. Basically told me get lost call the phone number on the card which is an incessant neverending phone tree. My premiums for basic coverage went up to $450/600 month and it increases as you age. No thanks! Bye

I've been in severe, constant pain in all those areas. I cry several times a day in pain. A series of "pain management" doctors didn't want to treat me with any strong pain relief medicines and basically told me to go away. This pain center is the first i've been to that has described several options we could try. I've only been three times but we've discussed an implanted pain pump (no other pain doctor even suggested it) and other devices. They have a migraine clinical trial ongoing for an implantable device, but unfortunately I don't qualify because I'd have to go completely off my headache medicine. Finally I have confidence that they will do everything possible to help me. Everyone at their office gives me the feeling that they care.

When I finally reached someone, the first question asked was "what type of insurance do you have?" When I replied, she indicated they refused to accept my insurance (Partnership Health), despite being on their approved referral list. She indicated she would call me back with a referral to another provider but never did. Very disappointed in lack of professionalism and courtesy to acknowledge my referral and return phone calls. Never received treatment from this provider, so I can't comment on the quality of treatment.
