I didn't realize at first which was the wading pool and I thought that the pool with the slides was it--I was wrong. The wading pool is between the other two, and is enclosed separately from the others. It's a significantly larger wading pool than at South Park, and with more features--there's a slide here too, but also a couple other water play structures. One of the parents of my child's classmate said that the pool sometimes reaches capacity, so it's good that they don't just let as many people in as will pay. It can be difficult to find a place to sit--the chairs can go quickly, so I wandered around a bit until a seat became available. There's a concession stand here, as well as some bathrooms and a family changing area. There appeared to be some showers as well, which the splash pad and wading pool in town doesn't have. I don't like that every hour they make people under age 18 get out of the pool for 10-15 minutes, regardless of that apparently being an industry standard practice. My daughter doesn't like it either--she was very very upset about having to leave the pool a couple times whilst we were here. And one of the lifeguards didn't even seem to know what they were doing; when we heard that announcement, most of the folks got out of the splash pad but there were still a few in it and so I asked the lifeguard thinking it may have been just for the large pool and she said "yeah, I think it's for this one too". We will be back, I'm sure. Our pool pass gives us a marginally earlier entrance time than the general public (fifteen minutes or so) so maybe we'll take advantage of that, or of their longer hours since they're open until 8 most days. Truth be told, I like the other splash pad and wading pool better. This one may grow on me, and assuming we're still here in the coming years as my daughter ages out of the splash pads I'll have to come here because this is the "fun pool". But I prefer the vibe at the (much less crowded) other pools.

At 5 years old with a life jacket, my daughter had a great opportunity to go in the deep end starting at 7 feet to 13 feet on the pool. The 2 lifeguards were in the pool to help any swimmers for eggs or any assistance in the water. The staff to exchange the eggs for prizes were also attentive to the guests and answer any questions i have. Swimmers are allowed to collect 15 eggs total. I didnt mind my daughter wanted to leave in 15 minutes of starting this eveny because we live about 16 miles away and we were there earlier for open swim for 2 1/2 hours. Defintely Facebook picture worthy, of course not for helicopter parents. The indoor pool and restroom were a bit drafty and i may have left this facility with a cold in the works. There is a VERY tasty Flash Taco stand here offering tacos ($5), burritos, nachos, and quesadillas ($14 for the supreme with meat). Cold drinks and Mexican paletas and ice cream bars ($5) also available! The pools are clean and well life guarded. There is a 15 minute safety break on the :45 of every hour, where anyone under 18 needs to get out of the pool. Two diving boards, one steep water slide, splash area for kids, lazy river, couple of lap lanes, and lily pad obstacle course over 4' water can all be found here. Lily pads were a hit with my kids last year, but now that they're a year older, stronger swimmers, and taller, they're not as challenging. Still fun though. Variety of aquatic amenities and the Flash Taco keeps us returning here! A Morton Grove gem!

The main pool was very spacious and not overcrowded, so there was a lot of space to swim. Didn't get a chance to go on the diving boards or slide. There were two diving boards and the slide was the traditional spiral slide. The only reason I'm not giving it a full five stars is because there wasn't much to do. It was an enjoyable experience as I got to tan and lay out. I love that there were no trees blocking the sun, like some other places I've been to. They also had a speaker which played music. I also liked that the kids weren't the screaming, running all over the place type so, it was definitely relaxing. The price was reasonable, my boyfriend and I paid $20 altogether. It was $10/person if you're out of district, which we obviously were. I didn't get a chance to see the in-district price but it's less than $10. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I will be definitely coming back in the future. :)

But the rides were kind of boring, and the park felt old and messy. Also, a teenage staff member was rude to me, which didn't help. Discipline your staff...Overall, it wasn't the fun day I wanted. Hopefully, they improve things soon!
