I had a great time at this water park. I loved the slides and even went off the diving board (I hadn't done that in years). The last 15 minutes of each hour are adult swim, which is nice, although I was with a group of kids and they hated having to get out of the water. We got there early afternoon on a summer weekday and didn't have any trouble finding lounge chairs for our group of 4. Be aware there is very little shade here. Empty and closed on Memorial Day. It's a ghost town but I imagine social distancing would be impossible at this park. Hugs empty parking lot in back and a couple deer spotted while bike riding around this empty space. I can't imagine coming to this place again once it's open and the car traffic is insane. read more

We finally had the opportunity to get together with fellow Yelper Mike O's family. We were super excited. Both of our families have made this the "Summer of water park and pool exploration" instead of committing ourselves to a family pass at one pool district only. I openly admit that I am a follower of his reviews. He's found many a gem. We needed to find a place that was convenient for both our families and worked within our schedules. Google brought us to the Oasis Fun Center in Niles. The pictures online were amazing; they recently renovated the entire water park. It just reopened May of this year. My first impression upon entry? It's brand spanking new and clean! And yikes! It's not cheap. It cost $28 for the three of us to enter. They have lockers right near the entrance right outside of the changing rooms to conveniently store your personal items as well as inside of the changing rooms. Bonus...they have 2 family changing rooms! No need to worry about perverts or be forced to look at other people's nudity. This is an A+ infinity for me. The pool area is breath taking. They have a splash pad playground for the smaller set, a zero depth wading pool that extends to 12 feet, 2 incredible slides built into rock facades and a drop tube. There are plenty of lounge chairs and the water temperature was perfect. They also feature a concession stand and picnic tables with all the things that you would want to eat. Kids get hungry after a swim. Too bad that they closed so early. I would give this water park a solid 5 stars had it not been the fact that the teen-aged life guards that were situated every 30 feet were absolute killjoys. I don't remember ever being yelled at or whistled at so much ever in my life. If you're having too much fun, watch out! There are no water toys, wings, or any thing allowed in the pool other than your own suited body. You can't run anywhere even in the splash pad. Parents are not allowed on any of the equipment designated for children. You can't even climb up to help them. The 15 minute safety breaks on the hour were obnoxious. Kids are not allowed to sit at the pool's edge or even get their toes wet during this time. Adults can take this opportunity to play if they have someone watching their children. They think it's cute the first time, but 15 minutes can be an eternity to a small child. It is without a doubt a beautiful and clean water park. We had a great time during our play date even with "Little Brother" watching. We were disappointed however. I think that there are definitely better options for your money with less restrictions. Just an FYI. They will accept Mastercard or Visa for entry payment, but the concession stand is strictly cash. Please note that their hours are limited during August 23-Sept 6th. read more

A little on the small side, but a fun place to bring kiddos to during the summer. Pricey if you are not a resident of Niles.

Nice pool. I choose summer $ 100 pass because its cheaper than 13 per trip. You can bring your own snacks and drinks which is nice also.

Located next to Triangle Park and Jerry's Fruit Market, this newly remodeled water park is visible from Milwaukee Avenue. Since this whole summer has been our water park exploration journey, we met up with fellow Yelper Amaliya L, along with her husband and their son. First thing I noticed is that it's pricy compared to our water park trips to Schaumburg and most recently in Glenview. Two adults and 2 kids, non-residents came out to $34. So we got out there. We were playing no more than 15 minutes when the lifeguards instructed everyone to stop and take a 15-minute break. Apparently they do this every hour on the :45 mark. In the parks we have visited so far, we haven't encountered that. Norridge does it once every 2 hours, but nobody else enforces such a break. Anyway, we got back in and played some more. We brought some heavy rubber torpedo toys that you throw underwater and someone catches it at the other end. Unfortunately, no toys in the pool allowed either. By that time, I noticed the lifeguards walk around with their whistles on their lips, ready to blow on a moment's notice like a basketball ref ready to call a foul for the slightest bump. The pool temperature was nice and it wasn't too crowded on a Monday evening. There's a kids area with splash pad, sprayers and buckets, but my kids pretty much just wanted to play on the small yet fun water slide. My Stunt Boy kept going on it over and over again, as none of them were tall enough or good enough swim-wise to go down the bigger slide at the park. There's also a diving board and a steep, chute-style slide that launches you into a 12-foot pool. It's a nice park but not in the same class as Flick Park in Glenview or Atcher Island in Schaumburg, or even Mystic Waters in nearby Des Plaines. By 7 PM, hardly anyone was left, so we had it to ourselves. When we were done, we took the kids to a family changing room to get them dressed. I was going to shower the kids to wash off the chlorine and I was amazed they didn't have warm water in the shower. Even at the warmest setting, the shower was still pretty chilly. After playing in the water on an overcast evening, a warm shower would have been nice. I wouldn't say it's a bad place as everyone had fun, but there are better parks with better value nearby, along with fewer restrictions and warmer showers. read more

This is a really good looking water park. It's not anywhere as big as Wet N' Wild waterpark. But this is Niles and it is a park district facility. This place can get packed with kids of all ages on a hot day. It's alot of fun. I'm glad this place is here. read more

The water park has been a favorite of ours for years. I am writing this post because I feel it is very important that they take initiative in ensuring that all patrons are asked and made aware that their may be others who have open sores to refrain from using the pool for the safety of the the children and other patrons. The fact that someone with open sores was let into the water park is disturbing. Taking all precautions that younger children could be exposed or put at risk of possibly catching any disease should be the parks number one priority. We visited the park and did notice that someone with open sores and decided to ask the Manager on site if they were aware, He responded that " We swim at our own risk" If we would have been made aware that someone with open sores were let in the park we would not have visited this pool. Yet he stated that we could go to the front and get a refund as we were not there more than 30 minutes from the time we realized the patron had this on their body. When we made the decision to leave the park and inform the other manager at the front desk the reason why we were leaving and we were told that we were able to get a refund as we entered at our own risk. She waa vert rude and condescending in her tone and I felt she should have been a bit more understanding . none the less we attempted to keep the conversation very quiet and unfortunately she was loud. Therefore making other patrons who were waiting in line look over at her. Unfortunately due to the way she handled the situation this will be our last time visiting Niles pool. Hopefully this review will make management at the Niles pool change their protocol in which they communicate the fact their patrons with open sores are able to swim there and secondly that you swim at your own risk when it comes to other patrons that are allowed into the pool with open sores. Found another water park to check out this summer. Although the water park itself was clean and had some nice amenities, it's on a smaller side so everything unfortunately seemed cramped. This year's rates were $11/$6 adult/child non-residents. There's the zero depth pool that would seem big, but both water slides and diving boards jump into this pool so the wading/swimming space isn't as big at first glance and can feel really cramped. There's a separate kids splash pad that's nice and had some fun water sprayers and mini buckets dumping water in intervals. There's a small concession stand. And they do allow you to bring in food, just not in coolers. So we had to leave our cooler inside near the ticket counter. But it's easy access so I could just go in and grab our drinks and snacks when it was snack time. The women's locker room was a little on the small side but it's brightly decorated and they make good use of the space. There are private shower stalls and each stall has another curtain divider between shower and changing space. Ample warm water and good water pressure--I was impressed! The locker room itself seemed cleaner and less swampy than Skokie's. read more

Not the biggest but great for the price (non resident $11 adults $6 kids). Can get pretty crowded though and every 45 minutes( on the dot) there is a 15 minute break, so everyone (under 18) must exit the pool. Overall it was a fun time and only 20 minutes away from home, so not bad for a short but fun filled afternoon with the kids. read more

It's basically a big pool with a slide, diving boards, & places to get splashed with water. Not bad for getting out on a hot day. Worst part is you have to pay $0.25 to use a locker & you can't open it without paying again. There is a concession stand where you can get simple food & drinks. read more

Ya, this is our place to be in the hot summer sun! The kids love it, and they have lawn chairs for you to lay out on or leave your stuff on. There's also a snack place, so if you forget yours or need a drink they've got ya covered. The best part is the safety break, when all the kiddies have to exit-o for 15 minutes and mom and dad can enjoy a swim all their own! You can't bring in your own food (I've smuggled in things once or twice) because they check your bags on the way in. But you can go in and out, so you could always have a picnic in the parking lot! read more

I read the reviews before I went because I do have two small children and sometimes it does become hard to keep an eye on both of them at the same time especially at a pool I was very pleased with all the lifeguards . There is a Toddler slide and that's a guided my daughter to go to the top as I rushed with my youngest one to hurry to the bottom to catch her I noticed that there's a lifeguard standing right there to catch her and all the young kids coming down the slide I found that to be amazing . It was my first time there so as I approach the lifeguard to ask a question he acknowledge me and answered my question while never taking his eyes off of his area . That didn't show disrespect to me rather it showed me that they do their job Well. I also found that the price was very fair. Definitely going to be going back .....the pool is clean and one more thing I wanted to mention I was expecting it to be packed on the weekend and surprisingly it wasn't yes there were a lot of people and children but not to many where you would bump into people constantly. This place is too strict for their prices. No food or drinks allowed , no lifeguard approved floatations for toddlers, no strollers & parents can't even help their little ones down the toddler slide! The place is taken over by all the summer campers & their counselors. They should just close it off to the public if they are having such a large group of campers. read more

We went for the first time today and had a great experience with our 2.5 year old. We arrived when it opened and easily got a seat in the shade. There wasn't too many people there for at least an hour which made it easy to place in the toddler area. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was referring to when they stated you could not help toddlers down the slide. You can easily stand right next to the slide and reach them at the top to help. I guess I understand them not letting adults actually go down the slide so no complaints there. There is a water spray right at the top of the slide which some kids are afraid of but you can put your hand over it and block most of it. There is a different slide for slightly older toddlers which we enjoyed. This one was a bit more challenging since parents don't monitor this one as well and "those kids".... you know, the ones that are at every park/museum/event you go to... cut off littler kids and push to the front of the line. My toddler didn't seem nearly as offended by the blatant rude behavior as I was... :/ What's good about this slide is there is an employee at the bottom catching kids and getting them to move out of the way. They say they don't allow food/drink here, but no one checked out bags. We didn't bring an entire meal, but we did bring in snacks and liquid for our toddler. We did buy a pizza from them. Price for a personal pizza was $4 and hot dogs were only $2 so really not bad. The pizza wasn't very good, but good enough for a hungry child. The locker room was clean with plenty of lockers and shower stalls. Bring your own lock if you want one! Overall I thought the staff was friendly and enforced rules consistently. The facility was clean both inside and out. They have piped in music which was decent and the announcements they made over the speakers were loud enough to be heard and clear enough to be understood. This was a bit pricey, $11 per adult for non-residents, so we likely wouldn't go too often, but definitely worth the occasional day of entertainment. read more

I have been to several water parks in the suburbs and I was highly dissatisfied with the lack of consistency. Our kids went on the water slide (which you are supposed to be 48 inches in height) and was told after he had gone down several times he was no longer allowed by another life guard on staff. After speaking to managment they said, "It was a judgement call by each individual life guard on duty." It was very disorganized and some of the staff was down right rude to us regarding the issue at hand. We will not be going back to this water park ever. read more

Don't go - So cold you can't swim. We bought a family pass for $160 this year. So far went three times and won't return. The water is SOOOO cold that you can't even swim. I feel so sorry to see the small day camp kids going in the water and to come out shaking. I have seem many people come and then leave after the kids beg to go home because the water is so cold. read more

It's cheaper than skokie water park district but they don't allow toddlers to wear body floaters yet there are kids throwing foot balls in the pool almost hitting you in the face. How does that make any sense? I'll pay more for Skokie or des plains water park. read more

This is a perfect place for the kids and grown ups who want to get out, on a "hot weather day".

When we entered we were not aware that you weren't allowed to wear gym shorts. while we were paying they didn't give us any indicator that we were not allowed to. after we entered 5 minutes later we get kicked out for wearing gym shorts with no refund. They gave us a number and they said this number would potentially give us a refund just to get us to leave. once we got home and called the number nobody picked up. so we called the pool place and the employee said the number wouldn't give us a refund. Now we are down almost $40 because they didn't tell us we couldn't wear gym shorts before we paid. They just asked "are you wearing shorts?" All-in-all, watch out and be careful because they won't give a refund even if it's their fault. read more

I drove out here from the city with my nephew and was a little disappointed, but he had so much fun so no regrets. We didn't have much time to spend there and I was unaware that they only let adults swim for 15-20 minutes so that took away some time from him. But waterslides never fail. read more

Been to this water park a few times over the summer. It's very nice but expensive. You are forced to take a 15 minute break every 45 minutes. That's an eternity for my kids and annoying for parents. This facility is nice and I like the fact that it has shallow areas for the smaller kids to play in. However, I am a resident and still consider it pricey. Like others have said, the life guards are a bit ridiculous with their whistles. Also, the fact that small kids can't wear floaties on their arms here is just ridiculous! I understand larger items can't be brought in but would think a safety device for smaller kids such as arm floaties would be allowed. Will try and look for a cheaper place with less restricitions. read more
