I was looking for a specific book that I could not find so asked the librarian for help and she was able to locate and order it from another library. They have movies, computers to use, books, even book club kits! I just love this place!

The children's section on the bottom floor is great! They have a play area, eight computers, a plenty of places to relax and read. The selection is great as well! As a teacher, I'm always on the hunt for new children's books and have been pleasantly surprised each time I visit. I've always found something that was on my list! I love when a library stays current! Keep up the awesome work!!!

Do not come here if you prefer a quiet library- try Okemos instead. I left before I finished my work because it was so bothersome.

The ELPL is a separate entity and not part of the Capital Area District Library. While a Lansing…read morelibrary card will work in Okemos and so on, it won't in East Lansing. When I first experienced this, I was definitely ticked but it ensures that all the patrons are East Lansing residents. But you don't have to be a resident to browse (public library, duh) or use the free Internet. The books on sale are dirt cheap and, surprisingly, are a decent selection.

I stopped in, spoke to the librarian and obtained a card. I asked him how to get to a desk that was upstairs and he told me. He also told me that there is another area that I could go to if I wanted a more quit area to work from, and I told him I was ok. But boy oh boy. It was really loud. Phones ringing and people talking on the phone in there. I honestly thought that I was being punked. I will go to another location next time.

Beautiful inside and out, this library makes it easy for your imagination to soar. The staff was so gracious. They are probably used to visitors being amazed by the library. Watching two extremely excited grown adults trying not to run, point and exclaim over is probably normal. (We managed to keep quiet: it's a library!) I tagged along because even though I don't have an AADL card, I love libraries. I browsed the used book section up at the front, which had a lot of great titles and many looked brand new. Most of the books were $2 with some that I saw for $5. I ended up buying two books that caught my eye - luckily they take Apple Pay because I left my wallet in my backpack at their house. This was such a nice experience and I would love to come back to this branch in the future.

I love the tall birch tree trunks that frame…read morethe large, open windows and let in a lot of natural light for visitors trying to study and spend time here. Feels modern and comfortable. This library is also very child-friendly. There are small computer monitors on desks adjusted to children's heights they can use to play games on. I really appreciate how pro-public health AADL libraries are - the staff mask and there are free masks and tests provided for those who need them. There is ample parking next to the library. I also notice this library is next to a couple walkable neighborhoods - jealous of the residents here who can easily walk to and visit the library! There are open glass study rooms available at this location. If there is anything you want to borrow here that's normally located at another library branch, you can request a transfer of your desired item to this location and pick it up when it's ready to go. So convenient. Love this place, will definitely be back!

Activities for families and adults. A great resource for the Livingston area. When you can't get that thing to print from your printer at home because you're out of ink- printed pages are only 10¢ each in black and white. Oh yeah, they have books too. ;)

They have a nice lobby area that leads to the CADL desk and into the main library. Plenty of street parking in the neighborhood.

I'm a big fan of libraries, this one in particular. I've borrowed books, comics, DVDs, and internet…read moreaccess from time to time. I take my kids here for the same, as well as for the trains, the occasional puppet show, and the checkers. This library is awesome enough that my kids would rather go here than the mall.
