I order books and audiobooks through the MelCat system a few times a year, and the staff contacts me right away to let me know they're in. They have events and classes such as music, yoga, knitting and story time. I've also been there when kids were using the computers. The staff seemed helpful to them too.

As a new walker we were delighted to see just how much walking her was doing!! Between the colorful pegs, kitchen and train table she was overjoyed!! I was very pleased by the amount of cozy chairs and nooks, so many fire places, and amazing natural light everywhere!! The puzzle table was tempting!! Also the seed library, what a dream!! Staff was so nice and friendly!! It was great watching them help other patrons and teens!!

When I finished my college degree 13 years ago, I told the staff that they all needed to be walking up the podium with me to get my diploma, as they were so helpful every time I needed resources. There is a bathroom nearby with a changing station. The staff that day were friendly and very helpful in looking up books for me in the adult section. I thought you're supposed to keep your voice down in a library. Not here. One overly-loud patron…read moretalked incessantly for 45 minutes - to the librarian and then another patron. I mentioned it to both of the staff members, and they just excused it away - "probably worked in a factory"......"hard of hearing".... without asking him to either lower his voice or continue his conversation outside. I did get a response from an email to a supervisor, however. Hopefully, that scenario won't happen again.

As a graduate from Chelsea High School and now a taxpayer living in the City of Chelsea I'm…read moredisappointed (to say the least) that you have decided against banning this pedophile from OUR library. Instead, you choose to spend your resources on making residents go to all ends proving that they are indeed residents of the City of Chelsea. Case in point, I had a sticker with a change of address fall off of my driver's license and I had to go to the Secretary of State to get a new one so I could continue checking out materials. If you can put this much time and effort into making sure I'm a resident then I'm pretty sure you can make sure this guy never steps foot in OUR library!
