I was immediately impressed by the speed, professionalism, level of knowledge, and friendliness of every staff member I spoke with. I had the privilege of working with Nancy and Dan at the office, as well as the technicians Dan and Greg in the field. I was concerned about replacing my once rock-solid aging and failing garage door opener (touch pad, remotes, receiver, and opener unit/motor) with a potentially less well made model, and my fears were allayed as we talked through the pros and cons of old chain vs newer belt driven systems with Dan (technician) and my garage's particular setup. After my first at-home appointment, which was on-time and extremely thorough, Nancy sent me a detailed spec sheet on the product I was considering. I also read reviews on the product itself and was armed with questions when I called in again to make my decision. Dan was right on hand to address each question and it became an easy decision to replace my old system rather than attempt to repair individual parts. We moved right into scheduling and Greg came out two days later, again right on schedule, and replaced our garage door opener with a quiet, efficient and powerful system that immediately improved our quality of life. He also took the time to set our new control pad, touch pad and fine tune our rails and doors. He went above and beyond my expectations to make sure we were happy with our new system. I purchased a garage door opener installation service from Home Depot and this company was the…read moreinstaller. Home Depot promised 5 day installer contact, and after 2 weeks i never got reply, so i tried finding the installer contact. Turns out there was no installer name, and they filled Genie (manufacture) customer service number which no one picked up the phone. I had to contact Home Depot agent to get the name "OVD SOUTHEAST" or something like that, then called two overhead door companies until i find the right one. I was able to schedule the next week for installation on Monday for next Monday. ON Thursday, I called in again to confirm the appointment. ON friday, i got a call from dispatcher telling me they haven't received shipment from Home Depot so had to cancel. It has been almost a month since my purchase, so I went to Home Depot and cancelled it. There are two things i don't like 1) lack of communication especially there was no shipment when I scheduled and wasted my time, and 2) avoiding being contacted by filling genie service phone number. Overall my time was severely wasted by both Home depot, Genie and this installer.

Or they could put in a new gear for $180 but no guarantee. They recommended all new. I did some research and googled Lift Master and they had their own prefered dealers. I really didn't want to spend all that so I bit the bullet and paid ODC of SE MA the $119.00 service charge, he said it would probably need something minor. Lift Masters don't really break down! I paid $196.83 total, a bit more for complete honesty, and my door works better than when it was new, smooth, quiet and I didn't even have to be there.
