Had an employee come take measurements of our windows at our house and we verbally told him which windows we did not want screens ordered for as he was taking measurements. The serviceman then placed an order for all the windows despite our request and I did not realize until after we picked them up and went about installing them that he had ordered the screens that we specifically stated we did not want. Columbia Glass refused to issue a return since they were considered "custom" and since they did not have any documentation of our verbal request not to purchase screens for those particular windows. FYI if you plan to do business with this company make sure you carry a tape recorder when you tell them what you hope to purchase. read more

I called to get an estimate on replacing windows for my home. I live out a ways, and they sent a team out within a couple days to measure everything up for me and get me a quote. They then mentioned how much I could save with the Chelan CO PUD rebate, which they didn't need to do. I have not had the windows installed yet, only because I haven't said yes yet. Auto Glass. I purchased a new SUV and on my way home from Seattle of course got a gnarly rock chip. I called Community Glass and they got me in the next day and sealed it up. I paid them over $100 to put glass in my coffee table. I spilled coffee this morning and it went right through their bad calking job and ruined everything in my display table. When I called them to see if they can fix the leak, they told me no. They told me every window leaks. Unwilling to resolve their bad job, I contacted another glass compony and they informed me that leaky windows is a sign of bad work. Windows only leak when it comes to high pressure washers, my spill should of been ok. read more

Our 8 year old recently had a mishap with her window, one call to these guys got the repair in motion. We received a phone call within an hour to schedule the quote, and two weeks later (would have been sooner, but I dropped the ball on scheduling) we have a new window! Aldo and Irwin (I think that was his name) we're friendly and professional and had the new window installed in less than 30 minutes. I had a large picture window broken at my cabin in Leavenworth. I contacted Community Glass to get it replaced and had nothing but poor customer service. It took two weeks just to have someone come out to estimate the job. The scheduler never once returned my phone calls in a timely manner. I was very pleasant and patient in my dealings with them. I always had to call them back to find out what was going on with the job. I was treated as if they were doing me a favor by taking on the job. I could not find many options for glass repair in Wenatchee, so I was kind of stuck dealing with their complete lack of customer service. If they were located in a market where they actually had real competition they would go out of business in a heartbeat. I would not recommend them for anything read more

Reasonably fast and courteous service at a fair price, though unfortunately it seems to depend on who you deal with. Nice guy when I placed my order, but then went to pick up my glass for a picture frame and inquired about replacing a broken window in my home, this time a different associate at the counter, an older blonde heavy set gal who was maybe having a 'bad hair' day. So besides being kinda cranky and sorta 'passive aggressive', wasn't all that helpful. But you can take your chances, and they're certainly not the only glass company in town. read more

These guys added storm windows to our existing single pane sunroom windows and they did a fantastic job. The windows look great and definitely keep the room warmer. I've been dealing with Community Glass in one way or another for years - decided it was time to write a review. I just had the windshield done in my Corvette, they had a problem with the weatherstripping part that had been shipped to them. It didn't seal properly. When I pointed it out, they bent over backwards fixing the issue - ordered another set of weatherstripping and made sure it was to my standards when they were done. I was very pleased with the final look and fit of the windshield and weatherstripping. I'm going to have them repair some of my leaking double pane windows at my house, next. Expensive compared to other bids on windows and salesman was obnoxious and inappropriate. Also had a neighbor who had a new windshield installed there only to find it was done incorrectly and he had to have it redone while in Seattle. read more

Several years ago, we built our home and had Community Glass bid the job for our windows. Not only were they the best at responding, their prices were competitive. We have 46 windows in our home and they were all installed with no errors or problems. We also had a custom shower door (one panel of stationary glass with oversized door to fill nonstandard space). Perfect. We also ordered our custom front door through Community Glass. I had a vision of what I wanted and searched high and low. The guys at Community Glass wouldn't stop searching until I found the perfect door. I didn't want steel, I wanted a wood French door that I could stain on the outside, but leave the wood color inside, with the top 3/4 window pane glass. They found it for me and it is probably one of the favorite parts of my home. Highly recommend. read more

We had a bedroom window that needed replacing. (home built in 2000 so windows are standard) Called this company. It took them about 4 days to show up to measure. Once they measured it took a WEEK for them to call us with a quote of what it would costs to replace. Was told they would order the window and it will take another week. It has now been an additional 2 weeks and NOTHING. Called them this am and PETER said, "Oh I don't see anything in the system".. I am done with this company. I called one of their competitors and he arrived within 30 minutes to measure , ordered the replacement while here at our residence and the cost is HALF of what Community Glass was charging.. STAY AWAY from Community Glass. HORRIBLE SERVICE and obviously a rip off. read more

Community Glass should be avoided at any cost! Choose ANY other glass business in Wenatchee or East Wenatchee, but don't go here. My contact at Community Glass was Chris Orr. On 11/07/2014, I ordered 2 "storm windows" which would cost just under $400.00 "Chris" stated they would be finished and available for pick up on 11/10 or 11/11. On 11/14 I called Community Glass, since I had not heard from them, and inquired about my windows. I was told, "he's still working on them." That same day(11/14) at about 4:10 pm, I was called and advised that my windows were finished. I picked up the windows that day at about 4:50 pm. Once home, I attempted to install the glass. No fit, what a surprise! Can you people read a tape measure?I guess I should have measured the glass before I left their business. I returned one of the windows because it was 2 1/4" inches wider than what I asked for and what what clearly written on the invoice. I returned the window on 11/15, at about 9:50 am and waited and waited and waited..........................On 11/19 I called Community Glass and inquired about my returned window. The response was, "he's still working on it." On 11/20, at about 3:15 pm, I drove over to Community Glass instead of calling. When I inquired about the window I had to return, I got the response, "oh, yah, it's done." Real customer service oriented people! Once they have taken your money, good luck! I'm guessing the embarrassment over the poor workmanship and lousy customer service got in the way of an apology. Called Community Glass to come repair/replace the cranks/hinges that open our windows. Initially, they came out right away, which was great, to look at the windows so they could order parts and the technicians said somebody would call me. Two weeks later, I finally phoned only to find that the technicians would have to come back out because they didn't identify the parts correctly. I was told scheduling would call--which they did, only to say that the guys were 5 minutes from my house and could they come over (luckily I work from home.) So they came, and the ordering guy called me about 5 days later saying it would take a week to get the parts. Three weeks later, scheduling calls to say (again) the guys are 5 minutes from my house. I don't know how a regular person who doesn't work from home would be able to get their windows fixed. Wouldn't recommend. read more
